Many highly-dedicated Kindle fans received their very own Kindle Voyage this week. But for the rest of us, we’re still awaiting the second shipment of the highly-demanded new e-reader.

According to Amazon, my new Pretty arrives on Oct 31st, and you might guess that my hands are shaking to get it.

While I wait not-so-patiently, here’s what I’m reading on the major tech magazine sites like Wired, CNET, and Engadget.

[su_quote]”Here is what you want to know: Yes, the Kindle Voyage is better than the Kindle Paperwhite. It’s thinner, faster, brighter, lighter, newer, has a better screen, has more memory (4GB vs last year’s Paperwhite’s 2GB) commands more magical elf armies, owns a Ferrari, and is nicer to your grandmother.”

[su_quote]”The Kindle Voyage is Amazon’s best e-reader to date, and probably the best e-reader ever. […] The Kindle Voyage is the summit of Amazon’s e-reader line: it’s the company’s lightest touchscreen model ever, with the best resolution and contrast to date, better built-in lighting, a flush glass front and dedicated page-turn buttons.”
Amazon’s best e-reader yet; CNET[/su_quote]

[su_quote]”With an impressive high-resolution display and a vast content catalog to match, the Kindle Voyage is easily the best e-reader Amazon has ever crafted.”

If you’re not ready for the Big Dog Voyage, I highly recommend the Kindle Paperwhite. It’s been my go-to e-reader of choice for the last 2 years since its initial release, and I can’t imagine going back to a non-lighted display.

On a tight budget but still want a standalone Kindle? The new touch-screen Kindle Touch is the perfect entry into the e-reader land of magic.
