We all walk a fine line between being super original and wanting to fit in with our circle of friends. I know the line, you know the line; and we’re all individuals! In my quest to find the most original – yet not-so-oddball – gifts for my friends and family, I came across lots of pretty cool stuff.
For my sister, I didn’t want to get her another book and I wasn’t going to spend hundreds on a new purse (she ain’t worth that, yo), so this super cute print she can hang in her reading corner was perfect.
What do you get the woman who has everything? Awesome pajamas.
And that’s exactly what I gave my mom this year.
If you haven’t yet had the chance to play Cards Against Humanity, you’re missing out on the funnest (totally a word) game this side of adulthood. (I gave this to a board game lover I know.) And if you do have the game, you’ve likely added to your arsenal with expansion packs, including the Bigger Blacker Box. But what good is a bunch of boxes when what you really need is a case with which to carry your horrible game.
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, I gave my daughters this amazing new game. Gravity Maze seems to be winning every award possible, making it very easy to brag about how your kid has “Active Play” toys.
OK, I have to admit I got myself something I didn’t think I needed, but now that I have it, I won’t be able to live without it. This little Pill Box from Henri Bendel not only keeps me looking less like a walking pharmacy, it shows off what little style I do have. Bonus: It complements my Michael Kors purse and wallet. SCORE!
Know someone who likes a little flash to match her sparkling eyes? I do, and she got these beautiful Peacock Earrings from Betsey Johnson in her stocking from me.
I was given this fun set of Always Sharp Eyeliners by SMASHBOX from ULTA Beauty. If you don’t already have a favorite eyeliner – and what girl doesn’t? – this should be the next one you try. I’m not usually a blue eyeliner kind of girl, but since I have it (and its cousin, purple) in my makeup bag, I tried it. Friend, it’s super fun to wear!
I can’t get over these black patent-leather ballet flats at MichaelKors.com. Can’t. Get. Over. Pause. Pause. Pause.
Ballet flats are a staple in my wardrobe, so you KNOW I got these beauties are currently on sale for 50% off! Score ME for spending some of that Christmas money!
And yes, I’m mentioning yet another something I got for me. I’m completely shameless.
