HISTORY
Smut Book Club grew out of my personal blog in 2012 during the Fifty Shades of Grey popularity explosion. I began sharing my thoughts and recommendations with my established readers on what they should read after Fifty Shades, and with some nudging to compile all of my recommendations in one place, Smut Book Club was born.
I’ve been blogging since 2006 when social media and its reach was just a twinkle in our eyes. Because I’ve been around for a while, I understand the necessity of having a social media presence as well as the power of word-of-mouth recommendations.
Today, Smut Book Club is a collaboration of eight voracious romance readers, each of us specializing in our own sub-genre, each with our own following of dedicated fans.
Our friends and fans look to us to help them decide what to read next.
Marketing — especially book marketing — is more than just posting a blog tour graphic and linking to your book on Amazon. It’s about building two-way relationships between the readers and those whom they trust for honest recommendations on what to read next. We want to be the first Book Club you think of when you begin to develop your marketing plan.
