One night. One song. One kiss. The perfect trifecta to unleash the floodgates of a forbidden love between the widow, Celeste, and her husband's bad boy cousin, Adrian.

Celeste Hebert endeavors to rebury the feelings that surface after this one night since her powerful family despises Adrian. But how can she once Adrian awakens her to the many things she's been forbidden from having? The daughter of a shady attorney, she has been trained never to question. Will Celeste go against everything she's ever known for a chance at everything she's never had?

Having defied his family by making his way on his own terms, Adrian struggles to regain their acceptance. When he meets his cousin's wife and wants her for his own, he feels he's finally lived down to the title–black sheep. But when his cousin dies unexpectedly, Adrian denies his feelings and swears to honor them both by helping her raise her boys.

Finding himself enveloped in a cocoon of love and acceptance, Adrian realizes what he and Celeste have is more than physical even though they are powerless to act on it. But will unforeseen events that threaten to destroy those he holds dear and his newfound peace, force Adrian to fight for his shot at love?

Kindred spirits and best of friends, they attempt to douse their attraction, but Adrian always seems to know exactly how to push Celeste's buttons and may prove too much to resist.

Will the ties that bind them be their undoing?

***Contains mild language, adult situations, and sexual content. Intended for mature audiences only.***

Just like pretty much every other woman alive, I love a good forbidden romance, especially when the heroine is a widowed mother in her late-thirties in love with a twenty-something rock star Marine. Only hot and sexy things can come from that kind of story. And as much as I love a New Orleans setting with New Orleans-native accents and talk of beignets, I’m now more in love with guitar picks and the talents they can *ahem* perform. Adrian and Celeste are meant to be, and when they finally (FINALLY) get together, the chemistry is worth the wait. [October 2013]
