Recommendation

Rock Hard was ravenously devoured in a day, and now I want a T-rex of my own. Gabriel had to slightly couch his Alpha tendencies because Charlotte was a bit of a mouse in the beginning. He had the patience of a saint, though, because he had a lot to overcome in regards to Charlotte. But it was worth it, watching him push her in small increments until she got her backbone straight and began pushing, too. I highlighted a lot in this book, and I’d get sucked back into the story when re-reading some of them. Though I loved the other books in this series, this one gets all the extra Gold stars. [March 2015]

After waiting with bated breath for T-Rex (or Gabriel – he’s #NotARealDinosaur) and Charlotte’s story, I didn’t come up for air until The End appeared on my Kindle. I adore Nalini Singh and this is my all time favorite Nalini book. That is saying something, considering that I’ve read the whole Psy-Changeling series, some of the Guild Hunter series, and thoroughly enjoyed her standalone books. Rock Hard had it all: tension, humor and sass and plenty of quirk, romance, lots of sexiness. This is a MUST READ. T-Rex gets all my love. [March 2015]

Publisher synopsis

In New York Times Bestselling author Nalini Singh’s newest contemporary romance, passion ignites between a gorgeous, sinfully sexy man who built himself up from nothing and a shy woman who has a terrible secret in her past…

Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardroom with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants, and he’ll go after it no-holds-barred.

And what he wants is Charlotte Baird.

Charlotte knows she’s a mouse. Emotionally scarred and painfully shy, she just wants to do her job and remain as invisible as possible. But the new CEO—a brilliant, broad-shouldered T-Rex of a man who growls and storms through the office, leaving carnage in his wake—clearly has other plans. Plans that may be equal parts business and bedroom.

If Charlotte intends to survive this battle of wits and hearts, the mouse will have to learn to wrangle the T-Rex. Game on.
