Recommendation
This was my first book by Molly and I loved it. If you love second chance romances with a bit of blackmail, with a hero that has a sweet side, then this is the romance for you. I enjoyed seeing Clayton act stoic and cold except with Veronica, sometimes vulnerable and sweet as he works to win back the love of his life. He has a lot of trust issues to overcome with her, misinformation and also a secret or two, but he also is learning not to be afraid to show Veronica how much he cares, in and out of the bedroom.
Excerpts
I missed you, I thought, like a dummy. And then I leaned forward and licked him from his balls to the tip.
"You were this wish I had to keep secret. This thing I couldn't want."
"Yes, baby, God. You taste …" And then his mouth was too busy to talk and I had to put my fist in my own mouth to keep myself from screaming.
Publisher synopsis
The cruel and beautiful man who ruined my life has everything he wants—everything except me.
Five years ago, Clayton Rorick loved me. Or so I thought. Turned out he only wanted to get his hands on my daddy’s company. Heartbroken, I ran away with nothing but the clothes on my back. Like a twisted Cinderella. When my father dies, leaving my sisters in a desperate situation, it’s up to me to help them.
I’ll have to beg the man who broke my heart to save us.
But Clayton hasn’t forgotten me and what he wants in exchange for his help is…my body, my heart and my soul.
