Recommendation
Three cheers for a well written mature romance Don’t let the name of this book discourage you, this story was more than just a few hot pages and melted panties. It had real life scenarios of what it’s like to date in your 40’s… complicated teenage kids, divorce, annoying ex’s, scheduling conflicts, hormones, not to mention it’s freaking hilarious, etc. It was really such a well composed story, and set in my beautiful state not far from home, what’s not to love?!?! Add in the most EPIC surprise baby bomb drop (like you have no idea what’s coming) and holy shebang, we’ve got ourselves a winner here!
Excerpts
I don't know what the men around our age are doing – staying happily married or dating girls young enough to be their children or having such debilitating mid-life crises they're unable to drag themselves out of the house after work – but they are in shockingly short supply.
Sadly, pussies are like goldfish. They have very short memories. If you don't throw a dick at them every once in a while, they freak out and forget what to do with it.
But it turns out falling in love isn't only for the young or naive. It's for everyone, at every age, from the most wide-open heart to the most jaded soul wandering the earth and secretly hoping there's someone out there made just for them,
Publisher synopsis
Deacon Hunter is domineering. Condescending. Infuriating.
And yet I can't seem to keep my panties on for five minutes when we're alone together.
He keeps melting them right off. With that sexy voice, those confident hands, the way he brings my body wildly to life, he's proved my libido hasn't gone into permanent, post-divorce hibernation after all.
Surely there's no harm in being enemies with benefits… Right?
***
When Violet Boden asks me to take her Divorce Virginity, the only thing I can think is–come again?
No, seriously, come again.
And again and again, until both of us are so satisfied we can't remember the people who did us wrong.
Best if we keep conversation to a minimum, though, considering I drive her crazy. She drives me crazy sometimes, too. But she's also sweet, loyal, fearless, and so much fun she's making it damn hard not to fall for her.
But how to convince a woman who's put me in the emotional no-fly zone that I deserve a place in her heart? As well as in her panties…
