Recommendation
I just love gruff bear shifters. They always seem so dangerous and mean, but you give them their mate and suddenly they’re purring like a kitten. Grizz and Jordy might be my favorite couple of this series. Though you see some of the alphas from previous books, this focuses more on Grizz’s secrets and why he’s helping vampires. Then, he finds Jordy and now he realizes he has something new to fight for and help. I love how protective and angry he gets on her behalf, wanting to make her life better while also getting revenge for her. But Jordy is sweet and soft-hearted, so she just wants someone to love and take care of her. They were the perfect match.
Excerpts
I don't meant to – it's not slave-like at all – but I reach down and grip his hair, tugging him into me again. He chuckles. "That's right, little fox. Take your pleasure."
Watching him cook in the kitchen is like having Godzilla knit you a sweater. The great and powerful executing the mundane. Every little domestic thing he does is a miracle.
His grin is feral. "You like that, little fox? You need me to hold you down while I make you scream?"
Publisher synopsis
SHE BELONGS TO MY ENEMY. I WON'T STOP UNTIL SHE'S MINE.
Grizz:
I’m the ultimate predator. I live by a code. Hunt or be hunted. Kill or be killed.
Then I meet her. The second I catch her scent, I know she was meant for me. She was born to wear my mark and I was born to protect her.
She belonged to my enemy until I took her. He wants her back. He’ll wage war to get her, but no one’s taking her from me.
She’s mine, and I’m not letting her go.
*This steamy stand-alone bad boy romance contains a grumpy grizzly shifter, a beautiful fox and a whole lot of paranormal intrigue. No cheating, happily ever after guaranteed.
