I have a confession to make… I don’t do the TikTok. I guess I’m old fashion in the sense that book cover models are all the thirst trap I need in my life, lol! That being said, I’ve heard about how funny Chelle Sloan’s BookTok is and had to see for myself what the hype was about so I picked up this novella and YEEHAW what a fun little meet-cute story! Despite being a little over 100 pages it was a well developed book, it had great leading and supporting characters and a unique and believable plot. It was fun, flirty and so HOT HOT HOT it had me rethinking my social subscriptions and day dreaming about my upcoming bachelorette party in Mexico, hahaha😉 Pick up this novella if you need a fun little pick me up, one-handed, one day read!
Excerpts
Or maybe it’s the way Jake is looking at me. His eyes are heavy, hungry, like he could eat me up. Or possibly lick me half to death again. The thought of his mouth on me again sends a little curl of pleasure through my stomach. I squeeze my thighs together, trying to ignore how wet he makes me, even from a hundred-some miles away.
Publisher synopsis
Definition of a thirst trap: A sexy photograph, video or message posted on social media for the intent of causing others to profess their attraction.
Thirst traps are meant to entice. To make women wish for something they can’t have. You’re not supposed to fall in love with one.
In my defense, I didn’t mean to. It was just supposed to be one night of fun. One night where I could forget my responsibilities and family name. Where I could just be a girl in a bar.
I didn’t expect the sexy small town cop to come sliding into my life on his knees. Literally. Or his dance moves to sear themselves into my memory. Or that kiss…
To his millions of followers he’s Officer Sexy. To me he’s just Jake. The only man who has ever made me want more. The only one who has ever seen me for me. The man I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with.
