There are many rules a priest can't break. A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.

I've always been good at following rules.

Until she came. Then I learned new rules.

My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I'm twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.

I am a priest and this is my confession.

I’ve had this book on my TBR list for a while, and now I’m kicking myself that I waited so long to read it! You might think you know what you’re about to read. You don’t. This book is traumatizing in the best way, but it’s definitely not for everyone. It’s taboo and EXTREMELY dirty. The passion and the lust and the guilt and the love are overwhelmingly beautiful and heart-wrenching. This book is simply amazing.

A taste

I put my hand on her wrist. It was pure instinct, to comfort someone who was hurting, but I hadn't counted on the heat rippling up from her hand, on the way that my touch would send goose bumps crawling up her arm. I hadn't counted on how perfect her delicate wrist would feel with my fingers wrapped around it, as if God had made it for the sole purpose of me holding.
I traced my way from her clit to her cunt with my tongue and (forgive me, my God) but no communion wine, no salvation had ever tasted sweeter than this, and one taste would not be enough
I moved up, again grazing past her opening and up to her clit. She gave me an agonized expression and I wanted to kiss it right off her face – or come all over it, either one.
