Former Navy SEAL Josh Marx thinks he has it all figured out. He’s living the bachelor lifestyle in southern California, running risk assessment for the Renegades, but most importantly, he’s finally gotten over the unrequited love he’s harbored for his former teammate’s ex wife. Even in a novella, Skye Jordan is able to give me all the feels. I’ll admit, I didn’t much like Josh in the previous book, but he has earned my heart with his story. Even though he’s fought his love and attraction for Grace for years, he comes to the decision to finally give in to it all and step up. And he does this in sweet ways that will have you swooning over this man. Grace is a woman who’s had to reevaluate her life and make some tough choices that completely change how she looks and acts, but she’s finally come out of her shell. Josh is shocked at first, but his love for her just moves with the changes and grows even larger. He supports her in all her endeavors and alters his life for her, especially after witnessing what issues she’s had to deal with since he last saw her. Another great addition to the Renegades series, thank you Skye. [November 2014]
I love the Renegades, and even though Josh isn’t technically a Renegade, I fell for him just as hard. His loyalty to his friend and ex-teammate made him run from the girl of his dreams. Now he gets his second chance. Another swoon-worthy hero and strong, independent heroine from Syke. Love it! [November 2014]
