Recommendation
Sam and Hazel’s story is a whole lot of buildup with an explosive climax that takes an unexpected kinky turn. They were in each others lives once upon a time and cross paths again around the holidays. Their connection sizzles and leads to some of the longest foreplay I have read. If a book could give you “blue balls”, this one is it! 🤣🤣 But once they get going, they cannot stop and their attraction for one another begins tip toing down a kinky path which I LOVED. I had no idea Hazel had it in her! They dabble in fantasies, exploration and just ENJOY being with one another sexually. I really loved their connection and will be diving into Grace and Luke’s book next!
Excerpts
He kisses me, hard, and I crawl up his body, winding my arms around his neck. This is a mistake, but it’s a mistake that tastes good. And it feels good, too, which makes it the most dangerous kind of mistake—where I could forget it will end badly. But one night wasn’t enough. Maybe three more nights will quench my thirst for all things Sam.
It took a decade, but I forgot just how dangerous Sam is for my heart.
And still.
And still.
I don’t care.
He can consume me. Burn me up.
It’ll be worth it.
“I want to make you feel as good as you possibly can.”
“I know.” She smiles at me, a brilliant, trusting beam of light. “That’s why I asked.”
“You’re my captive, then.” I bite the side of her neck. “Mine to bite and maul…”
She makes a happy sound. “Yes, please."
Publisher synopsis
He was my best friend's boyfriend. My off-limits crush. And then he kissed me. So I told him if he ever saw me again, he should pretend he doesn't know me.
Ten years later, he's the man sitting across from me on the train, and he does exactly as I asked…which only makes all those memories come crashing back.
This is a standalone romance for Sam and Hazel. It is also book one of a two-book duet about two different couples. The series is now complete with the release of Grace and Luke's book, Shame. Detailed content warnings about both books are available on my website, www.ainsleybooth.com
