I'm Gabe Colt. Heard of me?
I'm a famous actor, rich beyond measure, and completely destroyed.

Years ago I moved to New York City for one reason: find success. I thought it would be in the financial world. Instead, by the end of ten years, I became a household name and Hollywood heartthrob.

It sounds great, but the paparazzi made it hard to live a normal life. In order to protect my family and our privacy I did my best to keep them far away from the circus that was my life. It had been for their own good; a decision we had made before we even started a family.

But now those same decisions I once thought would save us, have destroyed us.
Now, I'm trying to put the pieces back together. Along with my little girl.

This is one of the most challenging recommendations I have ever had to write. Unlike Any Other is a unique book. Most of my reading is done alongside another activity. Knitting, working, or whatever else needs my attention. And the majority of stories are content to wrap themselves around that framework. This story demanded my full and complete attention! There are red herrings, twists, turns, and not one but TWO compelling stories. I am not ashamed to admit that, at first, I felt a little lost and almost tossed this onto the DNF pile. I’m so glad I didn’t! This book is the bedrock for the Unexpected Series and it is rock solid! This is the challenge I am left with. The best quotes run the risk of giving away too much. But, do yourself a favor. Carve out some time and just let yourself unwrap all the layers that are present in this book. You will not regret it!

A taste

“The two of you should stop playing with other people’s feelings.” The pain of seeing him with another woman flashed through my gut, and consequently, I lashed out at my parents. “Be fucking honest for once. I don’t need to be on the front cover of a magazine but at least being recognized as your child wouldn’t hurt.”
“You reminded me today that love is about fighting, accepting, and making things work because you want to be with the person who makes you a better version of yourself.”
“I want to learn how to live, do all that I couldn’t while trapped under his magic spell. That's what you get when you live enclosed.”
