I loved this book! Even though I wanted to jump through the pages and strangle Gavin in the beginning, once I got to know and understand him, I fell in love with him. And I loved Emma from the first page. Her independence and fierce spirit made me admire her a ton. Their romance, while not without its ups and downs, made it impossible for me to put the book down. This was my first book written by K.I. Lynn, and it definitely won’t be my last!!!
A taste
It was exactly what I wanted, what I needed. That primal energy. I barely heard his zipper before he slammed into me, filling me. I cried out, my eyes rolling back as every nerve exploded. He pulled out, then thrust back in, bottoming out.
It was frantic, our need. Hands and lips roaming everywhere they could reach. I reached behind me and pulled at the zipper of my dress. Gavin’s hand clamped onto mine, stopping me. ‘Remember what I told you earlier? That’s my job,’ he growled against my neck sending shivers straight through my entire body.
