What happens when the cute mountain man you made out with in an ice fishing shack turns out to be your brother's best friend?
A whole lot of awkward, that's what.
Maggie's mind is reeling when she discovers the guy she became tangled up with at Marv's Bait & Tackle isn't a stranger like she thought.
The big snag: Sam and Maggie's chemistry is hot enough to melt ice, which makes keeping their secret far more difficult than either expected. Especially when one of them decides they want this arrangement to be more than just a catch and release.
If you are looking for a super sweet, funny, romantic read, this is your book. Sam & Maggie have a very simple attraction to one another and it grows into something neither one was expecting. Sam is a man with a plan. No relationships, just one-night flings and for the most part, it works! I mean, who would pass up a hot, sexy ginger? Maggie is a girl trying to transform herself after a breakup and she is so wrapped up in her ex that she barely notices the instant attraction between herself and Sam. There are a lot of very subtle hot moments throughout this story which I adored. One of my favorite things about a romantic comedy is that you get caught up in all the little flirty details and feel the butterflies long with the characters. Hands down, a great read!
A taste
How did this evening turn into Maggie seducing me? I'm fucking nine years older than her, for God's sake. I should be the one seducing her. But all of a sudden, she's the alluring bait dangling right in front of me, and I'm a fish who hasn't eaten in weeks.
When I return to the living room, Maggie is still kneeling completely naked on the gray fur rug. In front of a roaring fire, she looks like every man's fucking fantasy. Her dark hair is wet and slicked back. Her face is free of makeup, her eyes are bright and wide with arousal, and her naked body is begging for my hands to touch it.
