  • One Chance, Fancy by Lani Lynn Vale

I loved Bayou and Phoebe’s story. It started out as teen love but they didn’t finally give in to the pull until they were older and ready for their relationship. Then, watching Bayou and Phoebe bond with his new daughter was so sweet, you will find yourself smiling and swooning over this story. Even though the heroes in this series are members of a motorcycle club, it’s more of a brotherhood and community club. Lastly, one of my favorite parts of Lani Lynn Vale’s books are these little funny sayings that open up each of the chapters.

  • Hosed by Pippa Grant & Lili Valente

These 2 authors wrote seamlessly together, I couldn’t tell who wrote which sections (or characters.) Ryan and Cassie were so cute together, and watching them overcome a misunderstanding from years ago while dealing with a small town mystery involving a sex toy factory… there were plenty of laughs to be had. And the pet raccoon? You will want your own after this. I enjoyed all the quirky small-town characters, meeting Ryan’s family and hoping his brothers get books next, and Cassie’s text messages with her sister. You will not only feel warm and fuzzy while reading this romance but laughing while trying to solve the mystery of who wants to shut down the dildo factory.

  • My Fake Fiance by R.R. Banks

Sasha skillfully maneuvers herself into a very wealthy family with plans to con her way to the top. Miles suspects something about her from the beginning but he can’t help that fact that he is drawn to her in so many ways. I adored him and loved how he treated her throughout the story. She got on my nerves at times and I actually debated if she was even good enough for Miles but I will say, the chemistry and sex between them kept me coming back for more!

  • Son of Chaos by Lexi C. Foss

If you have read my recommendations you know that I love me some Lexi C. Foss! She absolutely does not disappoint in this second book in the Dark Provenance series. Xai and Evangeline are a scorchingly hot couple, and their love makes my toes curl. Evangeline is such a badass heroine, and Xai is a super hottie. The twists and turns in their story kept me on the edge of my seat and unwilling to put the book down! You will not regret losing yourself in this world!!! Son of Chaos is currently included in the Wings of the Wicked set of books, which includes 24 other stories that I am also enjoying very much. Grab this set today – it’s a bargain!!!

  • Wicked Chemistry by RL Kenderson

Holy hell, Mase is one dirty-talking alpha 18-year-old. There were several times I was immersed in the story I’d forget this was a student-teacher romance because Mase did not act like a high schooler. Eden tried to resist him, but his magnetism was too much. Even though they could only meet in secret most of the time, their love was swift and lovely. There wasn’t a lot of unnecessary drama, but Eden did have to learn to love herself and believe someone like Mase could love her unconditionally. RL Kenderson’s romances just keep getting better and better, I can’t wait to see what type of trope they’ll try out next.

  • The Kiss Thief by LJ Shen

I loved the premise behind this story, and you find out exactly the reason behind the title in such an awesome first chapter. Wolfe was such an alphahole and I loved to hate him, but Francesca had such wonderful sass with him. And her young love with Angelo was sweet and heartbreaking since she was forced to marry Wolfe. This is not a typical love triangle, which I am not a fan of and usually skip those stories, but LJ wrote this romance perfectly that I think you won’t need to throw your book when you normally have to choose your favorite hero. I think that is why I loved this book even more. The main characters you loved and hated at alternating parts of the story, but I promise it all works out in the end.

  • Switched by Elizabeth Knox & Linny Lawless

An intriguing story line following 2 Doms who happen to be attracted to one another. Candace and Drake are extremely alike which is why both are caught off guard with the chemistry between them. The sex scenes are scorching hot. Because of the “feelings” involved there is a lot of passion and connection mixed into the kink and BDSM aspect of this book which was a pleasant layer of the story. I also found their dynamic to be a bit of fresh air. It wasn’t all wrapped up in a sex club and about who was submitting to who. There were light-hearted, funny, thrilling moments as well. Definitely looking forward to more in this series!

  • Playboy Pilot by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

This book has been on my TBR list for a long time and I’m so glad I finally read it! The writing duo of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward is the best out there. They consistently give us original stories and swoon-worthy characters to love. Playboy Pilot was so fun! It has the perfect amount of humor, romance and emotion. Carter and Kendall’s whirlwind romance is exactly what makes romance romance. I loved it!

  • The Returned by Jordan Silver

Wow. What a crazy story! Cade’s wife vanishes and after 2 years, he is still not the man he once was. She was the love of his life and he refuses to give that up, even with her disappearance. The author lays the ground work pretty early on about who is behind it all, but her writing is very compelling and keeps you pulled into the story! There are lies, repressed secrets, distorted love and a whole bunch of disturbing plot twists. I don’t want to give too much away but it had a Gone Girl/ Sometimes I Lie vibe and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

  • Brant’s Return by Mia Sheridan

I think part of the reason I love Mia’s words so much is because of how thoughtful they are. As someone who has studied astrology from a very young age I can easily attest to the fact that every delicious morsel of this story was so true to Capricorn characteristic traits. It embodies the essence of the hard headed goat whole heartily, LOL! This book was a freaking roller coaster of action, depth, conflict, strength, stubbornness and vulnerability, I swallowed it up in one sitting! An onion…this book is an onion. Layers and layers of heartbreak and perseverance to discover with every page, just like most Capricorns I know I absolutely loved it. First 5 ⭐ read of 2019 for me!

  • Faking It by K. Bromberg

This enemies-to-lovers story is super fun and really sexy! The sexual tension was off the charts and I couldn’t decide if I wanted Zane and Harlow to get together or kill each other. Zane had some really sweet moments, but the majority of the time he was an arrogant jerk. Harlow is sassy and strong-willed and I love that she falls for him while not letting him run all over her. Their banter (read: arguing over everything) and the fact that they have to act like a loving couple while each is trying to not give in to the temptation keeps it interesting! The lines between love, lust and hate are definitely blurred. Great read!

  • Confess by A. Zavarelli

This was an absolutely riveting read! There are so many unexpected twists and turns that I couldn’t put it down. Lucian is an amazing book boyfriend – with a dark past that makes him broody and self-loathing. Gypsy is a super fun heroine, full of love for life and passion. There are some dark scenes in here, but they just made the happy times more worth it. I highly recommend this one!

  • Rosalie Undone by Elizabeth Kelly

I tried really hard to read this slow because I couldn’t get enough of the gruff polar bear fighting his attraction to a human. I’ve loved every book in this series and I swear each hero is my favorite until the next book. We get to see the previous couples make guest appearances, too.
Hudson was so good at the dirty-talking in bed, especially when he barely talked normally. And he loved to tease Rosalie which made for some hot reading. Elizabeth wrote a great friends-to-lovers romance with the perfect amount of angst, relationship questioning and suspense.

  • Amnesia by Jaimie Roberts

Amnesia follows Max & Lucy through some twisted, up & down story telling. Max was in an accident that has left him with partial amnesia in which he doesn’t remember Lucy at all. The story leads you down one path while planting seeds for a completely different outcome. I guessed what was really going on earlier in the book which made reading the rest a bit anti-climatic, but overall a fun story by this author.

  • Raw: Rebirth by Belle Aurora

Five years ago Belle Aurora dropped us all into the world of Twitch and blew our minds! This book is nothing less than a roller coaster from the first chapter! Can Lexi and Twitch fix their relationship? Will the King take back his throne? And where on Earth was he for SIX years??? I know, but it cost me a nights sleep to find out! And it was well worth the cost!

  • The Debt Collector by India Kelis

India Kelis delivered such a sexy, intoxicating story in The Debt Collector. Dr. Tessa finds herself in an unusual predicament one day after helping girls in her ER that happen to be involved in a sex ring. Locke comes to her rescue and she can’t help but be drawn to his mystery and rugged compassion. Gage, his best friend, is also extremely hot and protective and the heat between all three of them radiates off the page. There are a lot of secrets and suspenseful moments and the sex scenes between the three characters get pretty detailed and raunchy. If you have a night alone and want some naughty time with yourself, this book will get the job done!

  • Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins

I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in Wendy Higgins’ Sweet series!!! Kai and Anna are getting closer and closer to danger, but they finally admit how they feel about each other. This is not a terribly dirty book, so if you are looking for that you will be disappointed. But if you are in the mood for a super sweet love story with an amazing plot that focuses on the battle between sin and virtue, you will not be sorry for reading this series. I cannot wait to sink my teeth into the next one!

  • A Place Without You by Jewel E. Ann

I’m not sure what I was expecting with this book, but it was nothing like what I thought it would be… it was SO MUCH MORE! The complexity and layers that Jewel built with these characters over the course of the story was brilliant. I totally felt like I was living and growing right along with them through the years. Don’t let the synopsis fool you, this is a book about star crossed, fated love. A love at first sight that must overcome multiple challenges, obstacles and heartbreaks to be fully realized. I laughed out loud, I sobbed big ugly tears, I swooned, I wanted to smack some sense into them and I prayed for their peace. Such a beautifully written story. I HIGHLY recommend this one!

  • Runescribe by Megan Derr

A beautiful short story that follows Tyri and his plea with the universe. He is blindly (pun intended) thrown in the path of Rathte and his life changes forever. I wanted more of this story. It was so sweet and has so much potential to be an amazing book. Loved the characters, especially his sister Vessie, and really enjoyed their interactions. Grab a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy this cute tale!

  • Heartless Prince by Stella Hart

This series seems to be VERY promising! The first book ends on a cliffhanger and really sets this story up to be a favorite of readers who enjoy dark romance. There is a lot twisted in this book and it is a slow & steady story with a lot of character buildup. Elias is a rich, powerful man who believes Tatum needs to pay for something he thinks she did in the past. He belongs to a secret club that uses deception and corruption to get what they want, and Tatum finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly, sick game. This story contains pleasure and pain and it keeps you begging for more. Waiting anxiously for the second book!

  • Enslaved by Sansa Rayne

Triggers galore in this book including rape, abuse and kidnapping. That being said, Sansa does an amazing job making an intriguing, well written story that revolves around depravity and inhumane acts. Without giving too much away, Quinn is kidnapped and held in a facility that tortures and punishes woman before being sent off to become sex slaves. She fights and kicks her way through every page of this book and it is captivating and powerful to read. Darker subjects always capture my attention and leave me wanting more and this book really knocked it out of the park for me.

  • PSYCHOlogical by Scott Hildreth

This is a GREAT book! PSYCHOlogical is the perfect title for it because it drove me crazy and played around with my mind. Valerie, the psychiatrist in charge of evaluating the men working in a secret government program, meets Vincent, a marine involved in the op and all hell breaks loose. Therapy builds a friendships which plants seeds that grow into feelings and suddenly lines becomes blurred. You will think you know what is going on until Scott pulls the rug out from underneath you and has you completely caught off guard. So many lies, secrets, twists and turns. Plus, the sexual tension is a huge hot plus! This is definitely much more of a psychological thriller where the romance takes a backseat but it is such a fantastic plot! There is a lot in this book that keeps you guessing and those are my favorite types of stories!

  • A Crown for Christmas by Rachel Van Dyken

If you’re a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies, you’ll absolutely love this book! It has all of the cheesy, predictable goodness we adore about the movies. Fitz and Phillipa are life-long enemies who find themselves engaged. Throw in some snow, some meddling Moms (one of them being Queen) and you get a cute, funny and romantic love story straight out of the north pole. The perfect quick read to close out the holidays!

  • It Seemed Like A Good Idea at the Time by Kylie Scott

Kylie Scott has a knack for mixing the perfect amounts of angst and humor in her books. Adele and Peter started out as friends when she was a teenager and he was working for her father. At 18 she professed her love and was humiliated. Now at 25 she’s home and the sexual tension is palpable. I love Adele! She’s unapologetic and brash, while still sweet and vulnerable. Peter is intense and grumpy and has no idea what to do with Adele (cue the angst). This is a cute and romantic story that features all of the good tropes…Older man, forbidden love, second-chance, and a little enemies-to-lovers. You’ll be laughing and swooning for days!

  • Lies and Other Drugs by CoraLee June

This is the first book I have read by Coralee June and I have to say, I am impressed! This book has a kick ass female lead who dominates the story line! I loved reading how Octavia tackled whatever her messy life threw at her. She loses her twin brother and knows that there is foul-play involved which sends her on a downward spiraling of uncovering twisted lies, getting caught up in dark attractions and facing reality head on. I could not stop reading this story, it was so intriguing. The way Coralee writes, the words create such complex, vivid imagery in your mind, you are hooked from page one! Loved the ending and am really looking forward to reading more by this author in the future!

  • Verity by Colleen Hoover

I’m officially scared of Colleen Hoover. I mean, her darkness began to show with It Ends With Us and continued to deepen with Without Merit, but this book, this book had me jumping with every sound in my house and watching my back while walking down the street. SCARED I tell you, LOL!!! This is NOT romance, not really at least. It’s more of a suspenseful thriller with a little psychotic romance sprinkled in. I flipping LOVE when good authors jump out of their usual genre and give us something exceptional. This book is exceptional. The characters, the story line, the scene setting… all of it exceptionally written. I will say I figured out the plot twist at the end at about 30-something % in, but reading it unfold still had me on the edge of my seat with every turn of the page. I compare it to Ghostwriter by Alessandra Torre or The Lucky Ones by Tiffany Reisz. If you read those and loved them as much as I did (TOP reads for 2017-2018 for me), then you will LOVE Verity as well. FANTASTIC book!

  • Expose by Henley Maverick

Loved this take on a one night stand turning into a romance! Lucas is a football God and Amanda is the shy, quiet book nerd. One drunken night at a party leads to virginity being lost and babies being made! The dynamic between these two is sweet and innocent and watching the feelings grow and develop was my favorite part of this story! I did want more from the story because I enjoyed the characters but it was a perfect fast paced book to read on a rainy Sunday morning.

  • His Many Demands by Ali Parker

Damon and Bethany’s story is not an easy one to get through! While the writing is detailed and full of emotion, the issues these two have make it a very rocky road. This story deals with individual challenges, family issues, lies, love, past tribulation and future obstacles. Both are strong characters who need to learn that they are better together than apart. I liked Damon, though he tends to be easily swayed by outside forces which made it annoying at some points but worked well with the plot. Overall, an enjoyable read!

  • Tripping on a Halo by Alessandra Torre

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, but what I got was a fun original story with well developed main and support characters that I connected with and loved from page one… exactly what I’ve grown to expect from Alessandra’s books. It was quirky, unique and utterly hilarious with a dramatic unexpected twist that will make you a believer in divine guidance and fate. I was laughing out loud, swoony sighing and gasping with shock when the drama finally dropped. A fantastic RomCom must read!

  • Just Pretend by R.R. Banks

A sweet, fun read that I decided to dive into late one night. I haven’t read the other books in this series yet but this book reads as a standalone and it was perfect for a little holiday mental escape. Colin & Bailey are complete opposites but there is a connection between them that the story focuses on. I loved Colin in all his alpha glory! He is strong, smart, wealthy and so sexy. Bailey is feisty and head strong and she definitely knows how to get under his skin. The story doesn’t get too complex but it has a great plot to it and flows very well. Can they get past their differences and realize they both want the same things? R.R. Banks never lets me down! I may need to go back and read the other books in this series now!
