  • Tears of Ink by Anna Bloom

I #1clicked this read because of the cover. It drew me in and thought it was beautiful! After reading the summary I was fully intrigued and started right away. I absolutely loved the story of Faith and Eli. Both from opposite sides of the track, but both dealing with the trials and turmoil of life. Faith was an amazing character. She continuously fought to overcome her past and it was heartbreaking yet inspiring to watch her open her heart to Eli. She was a powerful character and I think I fell in love with this story because of her fierceness. Eli has his own issues, and a family that is beyond messed up. I almost felt just as uneasy about him as Faith did in the beginning and to me that is a sign of great writing. I connected so much with faith, I almost felt like I was going to be hurt if she got hurt. This is part one of a series so know that is ends a bit cliffy (and it will infuriate you) but I cannot wait for part two!

  • Possession by T.M. Frazier

Damn…TM Frazier can write!!! OK, so you know how in Trilogies or series the middle books tend to be the fillers? Like… little action, little plot twists, little intensity… well that is NOT the case with this book!!! This is the 2nd installment of the Perversion trilogy and HOLY SHIT, this one just upped the ante to a whole new level. It’s dark, it’s gritty, it’s exciting, you’ll be on the edge of your seat gasping with every turn of the page. Add in a cameo of one of my favorite characters of all time, Samuel mother F’ing Clearwater aka Preppy and a little King, and I was literally clapping my hands screaming F-YEAH while reading! I am officially counting the minutes until the final book Permission releases in December. You need to read this series y’all!

  • Desperate by A.K. Evans

AK Evans is a new-to-me author and her heroes are so swoony and alpha. I liked that Dom had saved Ekko once, and from that moment on he watched over her and waited for her to be single before making his move. There’s just something I enjoy about series set within a security company, a bunch of tough men who find the woman of their dreams and fall hard. Throw in some suspense and hot sex and you have a winning combo for me. Ekko had a hard life until Dom showed up and he does everything in his power to make her happy, safe, and feel loved.

  • T-Bone by Vanessa Vale

Dirty-talking cowboys who like to test the sexual waters in all sorts of interesting places with their lady love. Tucker and Colton know that Ava is their match, and watching them romance her is both sweet and super hot. You will need a fan reading their bedroom conversations. I enjoyed Vanessa’s story that isn’t just about the hot sex, but about family and 2 men showing the woman they love what a strong family looks like.

  • Seduction by Henley Maverick

Alivia and Rhys lit this book on fire! The story follows her and the twisted game her cousin is playing which has Alivia on edge. Rhys finds himself finally in her path and the plot takes a turn once he takes the steps to pursue his conquest. He is powerful and has an ego about him but I loved how loyal and honest he is. Alivia finds herself torn between leading a life she has grown to believe she is destined to have and following her heart. There is a lot packed into this book even though it is a quick read, and the sex is hot and incredibly carnal. I enjoy a book that can keep me on the edge of my seat from the suspense while fanning myself from the bedroom heat! I’ll be reading more from this author.

  • Dead Speak (Cold Case Psychic Book 1) by Pandora Pine

There is so much to love about this book and the following series! The fact that the main characters are a cold case detective and a psychic guarantees that sparks fly! And the paranormal elements are integrated so they are completely believable. The characters are so well written that you feel right at home in this world.

  • Spread by Serene Franklin

This debut has so much! So much emotion, so much connection, and so many hot bedroom scenes with filthy French whispers! Watching Masa guide Theo to a fulfilled life was heartwarming! I was drawn effortlessly into the story and I wanted to celebrate with every step that Theo took to become his true self.

  • Mouth to Mouth by Tessa Bailey

Leave it to Tessa Bailey to see a picture and be inspired to write a hero. An AMAZING hero. He’s an ex-con bad boy who falls instantly head-over-ass in love with an innocent, very young, very gorgeous girl. But this bad boy is also sweet, romantic and insanely dirty in the best way. Rory and Olive become that couple you love but, at the same time, you’re so jealous of their chemistry. They’re instantly obsessed with each other, but they both have issues that test their relationship. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading, and not just because of the many “one-handed reading” parts. I saw hints of stories to come (Jamie and a big, tattooed bouncer perhaps?) and I can’t wait to see more of the Prince brothers!
    Marissa Recommends

I love all of Tessa’s characters, and this new adult romance is like her family-centered series. I was invested in knowing the 3 Prince brothers, I need the next 2 books ASAP. Rory was the bad boy Prince brother who loved fiercely, especially his brothers and the girl he saves. Olive may have been young, but she knew what she wanted for her life, and Rory was the man for her. I loved reading their romance, Rory made me swoon and Olive was not immune to his bossiness or how he took control of their interactions. Rory was a sweet, dirty talking ex-con with a heart of gold.

  • Confessions: The Princess, The Prick, and the Priest by Ella Frank

I have grown to love Robbie since his first appearance in the Temptation series. Watching him grow into his relationship with his Prick and his Priest has been like watching a little brother bloom. They have survived depression and revenge plots and come out stronger. But now they have to face down the Bianchi family!

  • The Simple Life by Tara Sivic

This book gave me all the warm fuzzies! I’m a HUGE sucker for a single dad story and this one is the best I’ve read in a long while! An adorable story with so much heart and the classic laugh out loud hilarity, wit and sarcasm you’d expect from a Tara Sivic Rom-Com. Tara did such a great job painting the scenes in this book with her words that it played out like a movie in my minds eye…LOVE! The backstory is so endearing, cowboy Clint will have you swooning, Brooklyn will have you cheering her on and the girls…my goodness, they stole my heart ❤ Definitely had me day dreaming of finding my own simple life. So good!

  • Who by Megan Mitcham

I think what I loved most about this book was how strong and alpha the FEMALE was! I feel like when we hear “alpha” we automatically think male but Larkin was definitely the alpha powerhouse in this story! This reads a lot like a mystery novel and I enjoyed every aspect of it. The beginning is a slow burner with character development and laying the foundation of the plot, but once it gets going, it doesn’t stop and is a complete thrill ride! The romance slowly builds with intensity and works very well with the suspense filled nature of the story line and I loved being surprised with the twist and turns. Hope the author gives us more in this series!

  • Picture Perfect Cowboy by Tiffany Reisz

Let us, once again, bow down to the genius that is Tiffany Reisz. Picture Perfect Cowboy is definitely on the “mild” side of the BDSM spectrum, but it is still hot! It’s less about the kink and more about the connection of a Dominant and their submissive. Even without the D/s connection, I could tell that Jason and Simone were meant for each other. Bonus: we get a few glimpses of Mistress Nora with her snarky comments and of Soren, always intense but loving. This is the perfect book for someone wanting to dip their toes in the Sinners world. Even the fans of the hard core BDSM won’t be disappointed.

  • Fight or Flight by Samantha Young

This story came highly recommended to me by some very credible sources, so I picked it up as soon as I had the chance. Samantha Young has given us a solid, angsty, witty, HOT AF enemies-to-lovers tale that had quite a bit more depth than I was expecting from looking at the cover and reading the synopsis. Not gonna lie though, the Hero in this story, Caleb Scott is a jerk… a tall, tattooed, Scottish, cocky, annoyingly frustrating jerk of EPIC proportions! If that is your thing, which I know it is for some of you, you’re gonna love this book With a strong, independent, classy, self built, take-no-shit heroine, off the charts chemistry and some well developed supporting characters and relationships, Fight or Flight is a book you don’t want to miss!

  • Filthy by Zoey Parker

This was the perfect book for a rainy day! Diana is a single mom trying to make ends meet while raising her 6 year old son when Ethan walks into her life. He is a rough and demanding mob boss and I don’t think Diana realized she sold her soul to the devil once she agrees to help him. The twists and turns their dynamic goes through were interesting to read and, while at times, I felt the book down played the severity of the agreement they had, the entertainment value kept me flipping the pages! There is a lot of sexual tension and pent up frustration and once it is released, it is quite intense. This story is action packed with hot alpha males, danger and suspense and will definitely keep your interest.

  • How About No by Lani Lynn Vale

What I enjoy about Lani’s books is that you never know how the story is going to play out by just reading the blurb. You think it’s a straightforward 2nd chance romance, but then we get twists and angst and some suspense to throw you off. Wade and Landry fell in love at first sight and then even when they were separated, they remained true to each other. I loved seeing characters from the previous books and the hints towards the couples in the future. Even though the series references a motorcycle club, the men are more friends who ride bikes and support each other. They also happen to be involved in every corner of the police and fire departments because they love helping people.

  • Hate Notes by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are, by far, my favorite writing duo. They absolutely make magic. Hate Notes begins as a quirky romance, becomes an enemy-to-almost-lovers story, then turns into an emotional yet beautiful story of perseverance and faith. Reed and Charlotte have hilarious banter and off the charts chemistry. I fell in love with Charlotte and her quirkiness from the start and could not wait for Reed to get his head out of his ass! Move this one to the top of your TBR!

  • Good Time by Jana Aston

Jana always delivers on the laughs and Payton had me rolling from page 1. I don’t know how she snagged Vince, but he put up with a lot of crazy talk and Payton-isms. If Jana doesn’t add some of them to Urban Dictionary, I’ll be disappointed. I have so many highlights, the majority are ones that had me laughing out loud. I loved how this was fairly low angst, but we get to see Payton and Vince fall in love while watching her try to better herself so she can be the wife she thinks he needs. And some of the things she thinks a wife should do or say are hilarious. This was all told in Payton’s POV, but we get a wonderful epilogue in Vince’s POV where he explains how Payton caught him and how he fell in love with her.

  • Dancing in the Dark by T.L. Martin

This book took me on an unexpected journey. I went into it knowing it would have a dark theme, but I was blown away by how much I enjoyed the plot! Emmy finds herself thrown into a crazy world full of sex, slavery and prison-like living conditions. There are many trigger warnings here like abuse, forced sex and others. That being said, it is far from the darkest that I have read. While the book is twisted in nature, the story is enticing and compelling and I really enjoyed reading about the four brothers (especially Adam) and the depravity that goes on in the house. Emmy & Adam’s dynamic is full of sexual tension and lust, and when it comes together it is explosive!

  • Knight of Swords by Autumn Jones Lake

Autumn writes such great alpha heroes who love their women so sweetly and unconditionally, I’ve loved them all. Juliet and Roman were so cute together, and even though they were teenagers, I didn’t feel like their insta-love was fake. They both had bad childhoods but it didn’t stop them from becoming each other’s soul mate. They each tried to ease the burdens of the other, and even Roman was testing out his alpha hero powers as a high school senior. Most of the story takes place their last year of school, but Autumn gives us a nice epilogue when they’re older. Even though this is a complete standalone, you do see a couple of the heroes from her Lost Kings series, but you will not be lost or see any spoilers.

  • Dangerous Exes by Rachel Van Dyken

Rachel Van Dyken is the queen of the Rom-Com books. Dangerous Exes is a funny and sexy enemies-to-lovers romance that will have you cackling with laughter from beginning to end. The sexual tension between Jessie and Isla is beyond contentious. His black-and-white OCD life and her colorful-but-scheduled orderly life clash and cause some heated (read: HOT) explosions. Throw in Isla’s crazy, old Chinese Aunt and you have the perfect recipe for a hilarious romance.

  • Manik by Amo Jones

Amo Jones knows how to write a crazy good book! It has a little bit of everything and that is what makes it so good. Manik and Beatrice have a very intense dynamic, very similar to a cat and mouse. I loved his dark, twisted personality and how aggressively possessive he is with Beatrice. Some of the scenes Amo wrote (like by the pool) were so erotic in nature and there was not even sex happening! There is something about the chase that is such a turn on! There is depth to this book, a lot of personal struggle and past tragedy. There is a lot of darkness woven into the plot and a few twists that will catch you completely off guard. Ultimately, you will fall in love with these two as well as the secondary characters and find yourself wrapped up in this Mafia romance.

  • Archangel’s Prophecy by Nalini Singh

This is my favorite series of Nalini’s and each new book is always a 5-star read for me, but the ones with Raphael and Elena as the main characters are always the ultimate. Since these 2 characters are already bonded together, their story moves the world plot forward, even with side stories. These side stories enhance the overall plot and give us insight into what is coming for this couple and the world. This was definitely another emotional story for them both, as well as some of the side characters. Nalini brings back almost all of the previous story’s heroes so we get to catch up a bit with them as well. And I can’t explain more how much of a book hangover I have without spoilers. Just take my word for it, this book is more than 5 stars.

  • Goodbye, Kate by Nicola Haken

This is a very intricate story with a few plot twists and a whole lot of action! Nicola really knows how to write a gripping story line that flows seamlessly yet leaves so much to the imagination. I read this book slowly because there is a A LOT going on but trust me, this slow burner is filled with fast paced adventure and suspense filled romance. If you are looking for an “insta love” connection, you will not find it between Lincoln & Kate. There is a lot of raw, ugly situations that go down before you even get to the heat between them but once you do, WOW! There is no denying their lust for one another and the way it is written hits you right in your lady parts! There is definitely a darker, gritty undertone in this book as far as trigger warnings go like kidnapping and abuse but the fight for survival is what made this story so compelling to me. It offers you a little bit of everything and for me, it doesn’t get much better.

  • Wilder by C.M. Owens

If you are in the mood for something different, you have GOT to check out The Wild Ones books. C.M. Owens has build a world unlike any other I’ve read that has me absolutely and utterly captivated and enamored! Wilder is the third installment of the Wild Ones Series, which all can be read as standalones, and Kai is the first male Wild One to get his own story. At first this book had all the laughs but had me questioning “where’s the romance?”. Low and behold, when the climax hits BOOM! OMG, I’m not sure if it was my time of the month or what, but it had me crying like a baby… all the feels y’all. All. The. Feels. Action, adventure, humor so good you’ll be in stitches and sigh…so much swoon! Book hangover extreme after this one, I’m jonesing for more of Tomahawk already. ❤

  • Shadow and Ice by Gena Showalter

I have loved everything I’ve read of Gena’s and I was so excited for this new series. It had me hooked from the opening, I was already choosing characters I wanted to save and see in future books and then Gena would throw a plot twist in and mess it all up. Vale and Knox were funny together, both fighting their attraction and not wanting to be tied down by each other. Their inner monologues had me giggling and sighing and sometimes wanting to shake them so they’d just kiss already! Their stubbornness made for some great slow-building angst on when they’d finally give in to their chemistry. The world building had me antsy, trying to figure out how they were going to win and save the people they loved, but I loved watching Vale become a warrior for herself and Knox, plus falling in love with this brutal alpha-hole from another world. I cannot wait for the next couple.

  • Loose Ends by Kristen Ashley

Oh my God. I’m a freak for anything Kristen Ashley so when I heard about this anthology, I was beyond excited. I love catching up with my favorite characters and even more, I loved seeing some characters finally get their happily ever after! One of the many things I love about KA novels is that they’re long and incredibly detailed, and I wondered if we’d get the same goodness in a novella. She brings it! It’s all of the heat and alpha-yumminess we’ve come to love and expect from her. And I dare you to not get a little teary-eyed at Tod’s story…

  • Not You It’s Me by Julie Johnson

This book was funny with great characters, some nice suspense is thrown in and side characters that tied it all together beautifully. Gemma was a bit quirky, tended to lose her train of thought whenever Chase was around, but she was finally ready to get her HEA after a string of boyfriend duds. Chase was a sweet yet alpha billionaire who will make you swoon. Even though he had secrets and an evil cousin in his life, he couldn’t stay away from Gemma. He wanted to protect her, but their chemistry together was undeniable and perfect.
I’ve had this on my Kindle since February when it was Free and I’m kicking myself for not starting it sooner. You will want to binge-read the whole series.

  • Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure

I just love Alexandria Sure! In the prequel to this book, In the Pursuit of Charity, we met Alexis, a heroine who I found super easy to relate to because the demons in her head are demons that I battle myself. In Credence Woods her story continues, and we see how she has fought back against those demons to become a successful career woman. Watching her learn to make time for love, and learn how to trust Max with her heart, is a beautiful story which brought tears to my eyes. And Max is a super hot, southern gentleman who will be added to your book boyfriend list without hesitation! Read this one today, and you will not be sorry!!!

  • The Gathering by L.A. Fiore

I am normally not a paranormal romance reader, but I never hesitate to 1-click when it comes to L.A. Fiore. The dark looking cover and brief synopsis were enough to pull me in and I was very impressed. It is a darker fairy tale of sorts, filled with a plethora of fantasy creatures, imaginative characters and unconventional love. Ivy was a superbly crafted female lead and I loved her and Bain’s chemistry and dynamic. The story is very intricate, and the world is fascinating. It walks the paranormal/thriller line but in such a flawless way. Go into this blind, you will be pleasantly surprised!

  • Love Sincerely Yours by Meghan Quinn and Sara Ney

Ya’ll like build up. I mean, I like build up, foreplay is the best, especially the mental variety! This book….GOOD LAWD, this book had me so worked up, I think I was more sexually frustrated than the characters themselves, LOL! Aside from that, this story is funny AF, H-O-T and basically one of the best office romances I’ve ever read. The main and supporting characters were so well written I could see the story playing out in my minds eye like a movie. Actually, I’d LOVE to see this one on the silver screen, it would be EPIC! If you like hot as shit RomCom’s with a broody Hero and sassy AF Heroine you need this book in your life, period.
