Daisy Prescott brings us back to the mountains with this 4th installment of the Love With Altitude series. A little privilege, a little down to earth; the writing of this story and scenery is seamless and the snark and wit of these characters is spot on. Up to You is a story about 2 people who give up the lives they thought they wanted, move back home and find the lives and love they never thought possible, via an unconventional set-up and love triangle that will have you cracking up and falling in love right along with them. Although the stories in this series are connected, this book can totally be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the hell out of it and I think you will too!

BEAST: Lords of Carnage MC by Daphne Loveling
Wow, this book gave me such a rush! Travis (Beast) & Booke’s story is one full of tragedy, redemption and passion. They know each other from a very young age but because of a dark situation Brooke is forced into (Trigger Warning: Rape), their connection is cut short after she runs away from home. 12 years later she comes back, an FBI agent, and falls right back in the path of Travis. I adore how protective he is and just a good guy at heart. Their dynamic is an interesting one. It keeps you guessing and constantly wondering and I loved the intensity of it all.

Bolt by Angel Payne
Bolt by Angel Payne is a super fun, very hot read. It’s not your typical story about a girl falling in love with her boss, for reasons that only begin with the fact that her boss is a superhero! Reece’s dirty talking, alpha, sexy, demanding character is impossible not to fall in love with, and Emma’s determination to make it on her own is admirable. They are joined by a cast of supporting characters that will make you shake your head, laugh out loud, and want to smack them at times. The sexy times in this book are super hot, and the superhero twist is a genre that I was not previously familiar with, but that I found to be quite refreshing. I highly recommend this book!

Cole by Tijan
If you love Mafia feuding families, secrets, romance and a hero who is sweet to the heroine, then you will love this book. The blurb got me to #1Click, but it was Tijan’s writing and characters that had me hooked from page 1. I love Tijan’s New Adult series and this was such a different storyline to what I was used to from her. There was more mystery and suspense, but Cole and Addison were perfect together. I was heartbroken with Addison in the beginning until she started to love Cole, the opening chapter and other flashbacks will have you reaching for a tissue or 2.

Tell Me Lies by Carola Lovering
Wow. Everyone will relate to this story. You’ve been Lucy and you probably dated Stephen once or twice in your life. I know I did. I was glued to the pages waiting to see what would happen in Stephen and Lucy’s relationship. I’m not sure how I could hate a character yet root for them to work out. This book is a wild ride of emotions and I loved every second of that ride. Just WOW.

More Than Words by Mia Sheridan
Do you believe in fate? Do you believe that life gives you signs to help you find your way? Do you believe that God speaks to everyone, if you know how to listen? This book right here is the reason I read romance. It’s the reason Mia Sheridan is my favorite author. It’s everything you could hope for in a story and so much more than my words could possibly describe! Ask and you shall receive, it’s a philosophy I live by, but boy if you’re not ready to accept what you manifest into existence, it sure does do some damage, not only to you, but to all of those around you as well! There is no other author who’s words speak to my heart and soul the way that Mia’s do. This book will crack your heart open, raw and exposed, make you question your limits and ultimately give you faith in the order of the universe. 5 stars doesn’t seem like quite enough for this book…take a chance on it and I think you’ll agree.

Hotel O by Clarissa Wild
This book is a perfect example of WHY Clarissa is one of my favorite authors. She gives you the raunchiest, dirtiest sex with a nice side of romance and chemistry. I loved Kat and Declan’s dynamic. It starts out of pure lust online and grows into something much more in depth. Don’t get me wrong, the kink and sex in this is off the charts and non stop, but Clarissa always manages to tell a unique story as well. I read this in one night because I did not want to stop the heatwave rippling through my body. Holy Helll! Pour yourself a big glass of wine, settle into bed, and get ready to get off!

Dirty Exes by Rachel Van Dyken
I’m NEVER disappointed with a book by RVD. She’s the queen of the written romantic-comedy, and Dirty Exes is both romantic and hilarious! Blaire and Isla are both so funny and real. They were able to turn heartbreak into a lucrative business…who wouldn’t a cheating partner exposed? You’ll immediately fall in love with Colin and want to punch Jessie, then you’ll want to punch Colin and give Jessie a big hug. Throw in a villain you’ll love to hate and you get another fun, flirty and sexy winner by Rachel Van Dyken! I can’t wait to see if Isla gets her HEA! *Wink, wink*

Captivated by Tessa Bailey and Eve Dangerfield
If I hadn’t known this was written by 2 authors, I would be shocked to hear it after I read the book. The writing was practically seamless, going back and forth between Tessa and Eve. I think the biggest hint which chapters were Eve’s, was where all the Aussie lingo was cracking me up in the heroine’s voice. Tessa brings her signature dirty-talking hero, though he brings a whole new meaning to the strong and silent type. His words pack a punch when he does utter them, though. Both Tessa and Eve got some tears from me with scenes they wrote, and I was not expecting that type of reaction with this book. But these 2 characters just suck you in with their drama, and heartache, and learning to love again with each other. Plus, Autumn has a specific kink she’s never been comfortable enacting and Blake is the perfect man to help her try it out. Yes, I did just sigh in my love for these characters. I really hope there’s another collaboration in the future because I’ll be at the front of the line to read it.
So what happens when you combine Dirty talker extraordinaire Tessa Bailey with Funny AF Aussie Eve Dangerfield? You end up with an amazing book that leaves laughing so hard that you snort to reaching for the nearest toy!

Through With Love by Tymber Dalton
Lately, I have been catching up on my #Shameless18 reading. If you are in the same boat, you should add this to your Shameless Book Con 2018 reading list right now! I found myself learning more about types of kink that I have only heard of in passing. And each one was hotter than the last! And even though it rates high on the kink meter there is an undercurrent of sweetness and romance that will tug at your heartstrings. Just call it a one handed read with a happy ending!

In Bed with the Beast by Tara Sivec
No one writes RomCom quite like Tara Sivec. Seriously, if you want to laugh so hard you snort, get side cramps and maybe pee yourself a little you need to be reading her books. Her Chocolate Lovers series is my top RomCom series ever! That being said this 2nd installment of The Naughty Princess Club series does NOT disappoint! In Bed with the Beast is a hilarious and hot take on a classic princess story that will have you laughing so hard you bust a gut, you’ll swoon for this gentle, alpha Beast so hard you’ll get heart flutters and sigh, but most of all you’ll connect with, root for and love these characters so much you’ll wish you lived in this story right along with them. A fantastically funny and heart warming story you need to read now!
P.S. I CANNOT wait for Ariel’s story in September! -
Conflicted by Katze Snow
This book is dark. Super dark! This is not a light, frothy beach read. This is an intense thrill ride of a story that ends in a sharp cliffhanger. That being said, read it anyway! There are twists, turns, misdirections and nothing is as it seems. I was even tempted to throw my Kindle across the room several times. You have been warned!

The Wedding of Molly O’Flaherty by Sierra Simone
The conclusion of the London Lovers series was completely satisfying, in so many ways. As Silas and Molly face one final (huge) hurdle to their relationship, it’s impossible not to root for them. Their chemistry is so hot that it burns right off the page, and their love makes my heart thump. Silas’s dirty talking, dominating ways are swoon worthy. If you have read the other London Lovers books, or even if you haven’t, you won’t want to miss this conclusion!

Bittersweet Always by Ella Fields
Wow, what a powerful book. I was blown away the first time I read Ella Fields, and this book left me in awe as well. Toby’s a football player who deals with the hardships of mental illness and struggles within his own mind. The book was spot on with the realness of anxiety and the fear that comes with it. Pippa has watched her dad struggle with mental health problems and she finds herself drawn to Toby, needing to help. I loved her need to make it all better. I related in so many ways. This story is hard to read at times because it is very deep and very real but I promise, it will leave you so emotionally satisfied.

Slow Burn by Autumn Jones Lake
I read this book when it first came out 4 years ago and reading it again, I forgot how much I loved Rock and Hope’s story.
It was heartbreaking and also uplifting, and such a change from the normal alpha-hole biker romance. You get the story from dual POV and getting into Rock’s mind while he falls for Hope gave me all the feels. Yes, he can be a caveman and will get his hands dirty, but he only wants to help and protect Hope. I enjoyed their conflict of feelings: Rock feeling guilty about bringing Hope into his world, yet knowing he was selfish to not care enough because he was falling in love with her. And Hope feeling guilt over her feelings for Rock, her marriage, and its end. There is a great cast of side characters and I can’t wait to read their stories, I became involved in their lives just as much as Rock and Hope’s story.P.S. There was no cheating in this story.

Top Dog by Rye Hart
A well-written, sexy, second chance story that gives you every emotion you can think of! Julia and Romeo begin their love story as teenagers but they are both from rival Mafia families so it is short lived. That is until Romeo finds out she is pregnant. They must find a common ground if they want to be together and the story reveals lots of bumps and twists along the way. Julia is a very strong female character. I loved how real she felt and how she doesn’t take any shit. The characters were very well developed and the story is fast paced so I never felt bored. Super-hot and delicious!

The Swap by Annabella Michaels
This story has layers! There is a later in life coming out, a May/December romance, partner swapping, voyeurism, a touch of a murder mystery, an old fashioned key party (If you are younger than 40, Google it!), and the complete avoidance of my least liked trope of all time: the bitter ex wife! I love Sam and Oliver and I hated to see this one come to an end!

Misadventures with a Rock Star by Helen Hardt
This was my first Misadventures book, and it will not be my last, because #Shameless18 author, Helen Hardt, did not disappoint. There’s lust at first site between the main characters – Jett, a rock star, and Heather, a struggling screen-writer – but Jett has a secret that makes him unavailable to her. Their chemistry is too hot to be denied, though, and their story is a lot of fun to watch play out. There are a lot of hot scenes with some of the supporting characters as well, which adds to the sexiness of the story. This is a great book that I highly recommend!

Under Her Skin by Michelle Love
Michelle Love never lets me down with her captivating, intoxicating sex scenes. I loved every interaction between Arturo & Hero and their chemistry was off the charts. This is a fast paced story. Hero goes through a heart breaking tragedy and loss and sets off to jump start her life again. Arturo and her meet by chance and the crazy ride begins. Overall a good story with suspense, a few twists and a lot of straight up f*cking.

Confessions: Julien by Ella Frank
This is the second book in the Confessions trilogy. And I have been waiting for this one since the first release in March. This story is HOT!!! Like clear your calendar, lock yourself away from the world hot! There is nothing like a sassy Princess, a sensual Prick, and a not so saintly Priest to keep you glued to the pages!
-
Wright Love Duet by K.A. Linde
An honest love story about letting go, healing the past and finding happiness in second chances. Not many authors can write high society characters that seem very down to earth and relatable, but K.A. Linde has a knack for it for sure! She also writes some mean angsty twists that have you turning pages and switching teams so fast you get whip lash. This duet puts you through the gamut of emotions, it was sweet and endearing yet so frustrating that you just want to slap some sense into the H/h at times! But isn’t that what the best love stories do…make you feel? Great read from a great author!

Hero by Lauren Rowe
I completely loved this book, and cannot wait to tell Lauren Rowe that in person at #Shameless18! The chemistry between the main characters is instant, but they can’t act on it immediately, which allows the story to build delicious anticipation as it moves from the unfulfilled lust to the main event. There’s a cast of supporting characters that are wonderfully developed, funny, and loving. There are scenes in the book that brought me to tears with the sweetness of them, while others made me laugh out loud. Finally, the sex scenes were super hot, and included some phone sex, and some angry sex, too. There’s really something for everyone in this book!
-
Rebel by R.R. Banks
This is the classic tale of a hate to love relationship. Milo and Bree cross paths when they are younger and their worlds collide again years later. What starts as a revenge filled bet, turns into feelings that neither one can really deny. The story involves family dynamics that clash, a secret that has stayed hidden and a passion that can no longer be ignored. Definitely an angst filled drama that is as twisted as Romeo & Juliet, but with some steamy sex!
-
Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones
Lisa Renee Jones has this way of taking a supposed one night stand, and making an absolute meal out of it. Her sex scenes are so masterfully drawn out, they are a sweet form of torture. She certainly doesn’t disappoint with Dirty Rich Cinderella Story. This is the second book in her Dirty Rich series (check out my review of Dirty Rich One Night Stand, too) but you do not have to read DRONS to enjoy this book. In addition, it’s a spinoff of her Walker security series, which you also do not need to read to enjoy this series (although there are cameo appearances of the Walker men that are fun when you have read their books.) Lisa’s characters really come alive, and their intelligence and success make them extra desirable. Read this series today, and you will not be disappointed!

Overprotected by Lulu Pratt
A cute, slow burner romance that follows Jackson, a football player and Emma, his best friends little sister. She moves in with him so she stays “safe” while going to college but she falls right into the arms of the guy that she has crushed on for years. Their banter is sweet and playful and there is a lot of development to the characters. Naturally, there is some drama and angst but all in all, I really enjoyed watching their dynamic change and their story develop.

There Goes My Bailey by LL Dahlin
This book touches on all my favorite tropes! There is gay for you, in love with my friend’s brother, and my all time favorite, second chance romance! There is an instant reconnection with multiple scenes that will inspire one handed reading!

I Flipping Love You by Helena Hunting
If you are looking for a super fun book, your search ends here! In the midst of real estate wars and house flippers in the Hamptons, Rian and Pierce meet and fall in insta-lust with each other. Their story is full of volcano-hot chemistry, adorable moments that made me laugh out loud, beach sex, and the threat of the secrets they are keeping from each other. The fun moments and sexy times are well balanced, and the characters are a lot of fun. Pick this one up today, and you will not be sorry!

Takedown by Lana Hartley
Owen loves women and he loves sex. He finds himself suspended from a strip club and begins his plans to get reinstated. That is where Molly comes in, the owner’s daughter. Both of them have their own selfish intentions in the beginning, but it quickly spirals into a lust-filled sex fest fueled with passion and desire. Feelings grow, secrets are revealed and relationships are tested. Takedown is filled with so many hot and dirty scenes, I lost count. Definitely a wild ride!

Sinner by Romi Hart
So, I instantly fell in love with Jasper, but I am such a sucker for bad boys. The book starts with him just being released from jail and right away I could tell he was a rough & tough alpha, with a big heart. He had been involved in a robbery that involved the death of Mina’s father and she becomes obsessed with tracking him down and seeking retribution. But as we all know, things never work out as planned and what starts as a revenge story quickly turns into a dirty little love story. Secrets are reveled, there is plenty of suspense and the complexity of the story leads you down some crazy twists and turns. Both characters are very well developed and their interactions are insanely hot and sexy. Romi’s writing is unique and fresh and takes a deeper dive into a world where a good guy is caught up in a bad guys world.

Pride by EM Leya
This book was a sweet, little rom-com of a story! It checks off all the marks. There is a strong anti-body shaming message but it gets delivered without being preachy and distracting from the story. Kel and Milan are both flawed, lovable and hot! I found myself invested in their love story and cheering for them both by the end!
