  • The Persuasion of Molly O’Flaherty by Sierra Simone

I am combining two recommendations into one with this one, as I started out reading The Seduction of Molly O’Flaherty, which is a short novella prequel to Sierra Simone’s London Lovers Series, and I just had to continue reading on through The Persuasion of Molly O’Flaherty. Either of these books could be read alone, but I hate missing out on parts of a story. I am really enjoying this series, and it won’t be long before I will be reading the final book, The Wedding of Molly O’Flaherty. Molly’s character is strong, domineering, and not afraid to pursue what she wants sexually. And Silas is the most adorably clueless book boyfriend that I have read in a long time. Their story is super hot, and it gets hotter the more they try to mind-fuck each other. Check this story out today, and you won’t be sorry.

  • The Sinister Silhouette by Alex Grayson

This book blew me away from start to finish. The story is a twisting, turning, riveting mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next. Usually, if I tried to guess what was coming, I ended up being wrong. The characters are wonderfully engaging, and I loved their antics. And, of course, the romance was sweet, heart-warming, and HOT, which was the cherry on top of this wonderful-book sundae. Read this one today – you won’t be sorry!!!

  • Sworn by Maria Luis

I have read all of Maria’s hockey romances, recommended book 1 in her rom-com NOLA series on SBC. They were all definitely lighter than this book. I was surprised how gritty, and a little dark, she wrote these characters. I loved Linc and Avery, how she tried to stay away from him, remain off the radar of both criminals and cops. But Linc is tenacious when he sees something he wants, and he was definitely curious about this girl peddling tarot card readings. Linc makes Avery want and she hates him for that in the beginning, but once they give in to the chemistry… whoa baby. Linc will make you blush with his dirty talk, but Avery is no pushover. I can’t wait for the story to conclude.

  • Merciless by Willow Winters

Willow Winters never disappoints. Her writing is always just the right mix of dark suspense and taboo erotica and Merciless is no different. We briefly met Carter Cross, the gritty Mafia king, in Possessive. He is as heartless as they come and I loved reading every bit of his ruthlessness. He toys with Aria, mind and body and tries to break her every second he can get. There are disturbing moments and scenes throughout, including violence and kidnapping, but if you enjoy a suspenseful read, put this on your list ASAP!

  • Unfaded by Julie Johnson

Holy drama and angst, Batman! Julie Johnson closed out this duet STRONG. Ryder & Felicity’s story continues and it is full of frustration, heartache, passion and redemption. I loved the backstory of what their lives had been like apart since Faded and their forced reunion brought all of the emotions. My heart broke for Felicity in so many ways learning about her struggles but I totally swooned over Ryder and his faithfulness to her that his heart just could not deny. This duet was perfectly written to show the growth and journey of both main characters and the story flowed seamlessly. I wish there was more. I am truly sad their story has come to an end but what a way to go!

  • Pent Up by Damon Suede

This book is pure fire! The gay-for-you-trope can be tricky, but Damon Suede not only has it down, he spins out a DOUBLE gay-for-you story! There is a slow burn with super hot, dirty-talking payoff. I could totally relate to Ruben trying to navigate through Andy’s super strange and ultra-rich world. Paired with intrigue and a battle with addiction, this a worthwhile and absorbing read!

  • Rebel Heart by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

Oh the angst! I love it! This is the continuation of Rush and Gia’s story, and they’re dealing with the fallout of the cliffhanger at the end of book one. This book is much more angst-filled than the first, and that’s saying something. But it’s no less romantic and sexy. I fell more in love with Rush than I thought possible. He might be the perfect man…a little broken, a lot sexy and an all-around great guy. I loved every angsty minute of this series.

  • Promises Part 4 by AE Via

I found this book by accident and I am glad I did! The strong, troubled war hero is one of my favorite tropes and this story does not disappoint! Brian and Sway are the perfect combination of sweet and Kindle melting hotness! The story can be read as a stand-alone but it sent me running to download the rest of the series.

  • Our Unscripted Story by LA Fiore

Alexis and Greyson’s story was beyond anything I could’ve imagined. I enjoyed reading every word of their 20 year journey together and literally did not put my Kindle down once. Greyson is dreaming of becoming a famous artist and Alexis lives to create and imagine. I adored his love for her and found myself completely enamored with how much he was consumed by her. He was easily one of the best male characters I have read in a while. Alexis stole my heart though. She was sassy, funny, unsure of herself and owned every bit of it. She made me LOVE this book. L.A. Fiore created this epic love story that is everything you could want and more. I highly recommend!

  • The Concubine and Her Vampires by Julie Morgan

This was my first reverse harem book, and I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it. But, holy hell, I am now completely sold on the reverse harem concept. I don’t know why I had any doubts at all! After all, what is better than one superhot, muscular, well dressed, bloodsucking book boyfriend, if not five super hot, muscular, well dressed, blood sucking book boyfriends? All five of the guys have their own characteristics and quirks, which made the idea of the harem more real than I expected it to be. And Olivia’s character is so relatable that I could completely imagine myself in her shoes. This is a great book, and I highly recommend it!

  • Welcome to the Cameo Hotel by K.I. Lynn

I loved this book! Even though I wanted to jump through the pages and strangle Gavin in the beginning, once I got to know and understand him, I fell in love with him. And I loved Emma from the first page. Her independence and fierce spirit made me admire her a ton. Their romance, while not without its ups and downs, made it impossible for me to put the book down. This was my first book written by K.I. Lynn, and it definitely won’t be my last!!!

  • Worth the Risk by K. Bromberg

Another absolute winner from K. Bromberg! Single Dad with commitment issues meets prissy rich girl who doesn’t like relationships or kids…yet their chemistry is off the charts HOT! I’ve been intrigued by Grayson’s story since we met him in Cuffed, and he did not disappoint! He’s the perfect combination of cocky and vulnerable, a “ninja” with the ladies but a very devoted and protective Dad. This is a very sweet and romantic story about taking risks, with your job and with your heart. And I dare you to not fall in love with 8 year old Luke. His 8 year old charm and humor steals the show. Loved it!

  • Good Girl By Jana Aston

Jana has not let me down on any of her stories, even with how different they are from each other. Plus, she enjoys writing stories that she wants to read and I find they have been exactly what I needed, too. Lydia had a small virginity problem and unfortunately, the guy she chose to help her was also the big boss at work. But their chemistry kept drawing them back to each other until she finally concocted this great plan to sell her virginity and win Rhys over. She was so naive about sex that I’m pretty sure we all had the same thoughts she had (and voiced to Rhys) when we were her age. It was cringingly funny, though. Jana wrote this story in both Lydia and Rhys’ POV, which was awesome because we got to see all the funny stuff between Lydia and her best friend, and Rhys and his friends. Not to mention we had some great dirty talk from Rhys.

  • The Real by Kate Stewart

This book started out as a fairytale come true. A delicious slow burn chemistry that was so sweet and swoony you could taste it. The woo…my God, the woo was legendary. But from the get go, something was off, you could sense and feel that the hammer was about to drop and when it did, HOLY COW did it get messy, raw and REAL! This book with toy with your emotions, the highs and the lows. And these characters will dig into your heart…I laughed, I cried, I smiled and I broke right along with them. What a fantastic story!

  • Billionaire for Hire by Cat Johnson

I am really enjoying reading Cat Johnson’s books in preparation for meeting her at #Shameless18. Her HOT SEALS series is hot, fun, exciting, and all around wonderful, and Billionaire for Hire, a spin-off from HOT SEALS, was just what I have come to expect from her. Brent is a good looking, super rich, hot book boyfriend who is impossible not to love. Alex has her own secrets, but she’s likable in spite of her questionable trustworthiness. This book contains a good amount of suspense, as well as an attraction so strong it just won’t be denied. It was so much fun to read!!!

  • The Greatest Risk by Kristen Ashley

This book was H-A-W-T!!! We’re talking MULTIPLE one-handed reading scenes. I don’t read BDSM often, but when I do it has to be well written with enough substance and an in depth storyline to keep me engaged. KA is known for weaving magnificent, heartfelt, intricate stories with fantastic characters and loads of adventure, this story falls right in line with that, even though it is a pretty steep departure from her norm. This is a story about a complicated woman with a lot of luggage and a dreamy, god of a man who would go limitless lengths to help her unpack. LOVED the shout out to Tiffany Reisz and the OS series! One word: GLADIATORS! Oh and I know this is supposed to be the last book in the honey series, but I’m still secretly hoping for Barclay to get his own book someday.

  • My Darling, My Disaster by Amalie Howard and Angie Morgan

I absolutely loved this book! I am a huge historical fiction lover, and this one has the perfect mix of suspense, mystery, intrigue, forbidden romance, and straight up lust. It’s a well crafted story all around. The feelings that develop between Lana and Gray made all my lady bits tingle. Their stolen moments are so hot! This book is a must read, especially if you are a fan of historical romance!!!

  • MONSTERS by Melissa Jane

I am always drawn to Melissa Jane ‘s stories. She writes deep, twisted plots full of suspense and thrills and I could not wait to get my hands on Monsters. It was not as disturbing as I was originally hoping (yes, I love them messed up) but it was an intense, well written whirlwind non the less! It follows Gemma, Lucas & Mason who are all childhood friends with very different dynamics. Gemma and Lucas have a romantic bond which stems from the closeness of their friendship. Mason is beyond obsessive. He is dark, evil and unleashes chaos on everyone & everything around him. I don’t want to give too much away but the story surrounds Gemma and what she witnessed one night in the past and how it is now knocking on her door in the future. The suspense and terror is definitely the main course and the romance is more of a side dish. Such a great read that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

  • Two Wedding Crashers by Meghan Quinn

I picked up this little gem as a beach vacation read for my trip to Cabo last week. This is a new author for me and I was expecting a light and steamy RomCom from the recommendation I got to read it. This book definitely delivered on that, but it was also SO much more! From the prologue on I was laughing my ass off, by chapter 4 the chemistry was so palatable you could eat it with a spoon, by chapter 20 my heart was aching for these characters and if you are not completely swooning, rooting for this couple and undeniably jealous of the heroine by the last few chapters, something is seriously wrong with you. It was a FANTASTIC read and I was so impressed by its seamless flow and composition that I can’t wait to read more from this author because of it. Seriously though… read this book, you will not be disappointed!

  • Bohemian by Kathryn Nolan

I’ve had this book on my TBR for a while and I’m so glad I finally read it! What a gem! It’s more than your usual “supermodel falls for nerd” romance. These characters have so much depth…the supermodel who writes poetry and the nerd with a sexy dominant side. Their banter is charming and sweet and their sexual chemistry smoldered until it exploded against the bookshelves. Cal and Lucia will have you sighing and smiling from start to finish.

  • Faded by Julie Johnson

I am a sucker for a sexy, misunderstood musician so as soon as I read the blurb for this book, I knew it was a must read for me. Felicity is headed to Nashville to start fresh and find herself. She’s young, a songwriter who wants to hide behind her written words and trying hard to move on from a troubled past. In walks Ryder, the disturbed, intense musician looking for his big break. The story follows their journey as they learn about themselves, each other and how much they are willing to change and adapt for love. This book has a fast paced story line, a romance that will keep you wanting more and angst that is through the roof. I seriously could not get enough of their chemistry. SO GOOD! I cannot wait for the second part of this Duet.

  • His Pawn by Emily Snow

If you love dirty-talking alpha-holes, then Graham Delaney is the perfect man you’ll love to hate.
Rich, entitled, AND a senator, he gets what he wants and Elle is it. Their chemistry from the first glance was so hot, and the build-up even hotter. Graham will seduce you with his filthy mouth just like he did Elle. I love how Graham doesn’t anticipate how much he’ll actually want Elle and that she has a backbone, not afraid to push back when it’s important to her. I enjoyed his fall from lust to love.

  • Until the Stars Fall by Abigail Kade

Such an awesome debut! Ladd and Conner are two sweet men who are trying to leave their messy, drama filled pasts behind them. They wish on a star and fall in love in the most romantic way possible. Luckily there is enough kink and heat to keep it from being just too much.

  • King Sized by Madison Faye

In the mood for some over the top, smoking hot sex? Look no further! You get all that and more from Madison Faye in King Sized. Princess Callie and King Hayden cannot keep their hands off of one another and it leads to some hot as f*ck encounters. The rumors are true, King Hayden is packing and Callie has no idea what to do with it all! He is such a possessive alpha when it comes to her and I loved every second of it. Madison Faye writes sex scenes like no other and they are filthy and dirty so prepare yourself to be captivated.

  • Guarded by a SEAL by Julie Morgan

This book is simply yummy. I love the continuation of the Hot SEALS world, created by Cat Johnson and now expanded on by Julie Morgan. What is not to love about a hot, huge, protective ex-SEAL who is really just a big softy on the inside? The suspenseful part of the story kept me on the edge of my seat, and the romance that developed between Jax and Andria was so hot, and so adorable, that I just couldn’t put this book down. The way Jax treats Andria, gently guiding her through the trauma of her past and helping her find her own strength, made me swoon over him. Come into the world of the hot SEALS today, and you will not be disappointed.

  • Cruise by Laramie Briscoe

When you read a whole series and fall in love with certain characters, you get excited when the author does a “next generation” story. Though Caleb was an older teen for most of the series, I couldn’t wait for him to find his HEA. I loved his dad’s story, so it was fitting that Caleb also fell in love with a teacher. He was sweet to Ruby, and they did have a bit of love-at-first-sight, but I thought Laramie did a great job with it. It wasn’t over-the-top, they just slid easily into each other’s lives even though Caleb was busy being a cop. It was light on angst, but a bit of suspense was added to the story to help round out the series.

  • Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren

This book, GAH..this book is so so so so so so good! This is the first book by the fantastic duo Christina Lauren labeled as Women’s Fiction rather than romance, but let me tell you, this was an EPIC lifetime story of love! Sweet, fragile, kismet love that transcends time, heartache and lives challenges. Fated love. Destined, star crossed, deep soul connection love. It had wit and intelligence, respectfully honoring the alluring elegance and the profound strength of words, with an off the charts mental and physical chemistry that builds and builds and a suspenseful back story that has you anxiously flipping pages at lightning speeds dying to know what went wrong and just as equally on edge dying to know how it will be put back together. This is exactly the kind of story that I go GAGA for!

  • Bought by Brook Wilder

Intense! Super intense! Mason is the president of an MC club. An MC club that happens to dabble in kidnapping and sex trafficking. He kidnaps his neighbor Cassie and the book follows her experience with it all. She is strong willed but battles with her desires and own needs. Mason falls for her and their dynamic evolves in a very interesting way. A lot of triggers here so stay away if forced sex is not your favorite thing to read. I tend to gravitate towards the darker books and I loved following this twisted story. I wanted a bit more from the characters at times but overall a solid read from Brook Wilder!

  • A Demon and His Witch by Eve Langais

This book was the next one that came up in my quest to read as many new-to-me authors as possible before #Shameless18. And Eve Langlais is definitely trying to derail my quest, because this book was so much fun that I want to read the entire series RIGHT NOW. The characters are entertaining, with the supporting characters being just as much fun as the main characters. The romance between Remy and Ysabel is as satisfying as it is frustrating. As they carried out their mission for Lucifer I couldn’t help but cheer them on, often laughing out loud at their antics. If you are looking for a super fun read, this is a great option!!!

  • Waterfall Effect by K.K. Allen

Goosebumps. Goosebumps ALL over! This book is amazing. It has EVERYTHING I love to read in one story. It has suspense and darkness with the crimes committed in the woods of Balsam Grove. It has heat and passion with the ridiculous sexual chemistry between Jax and Aurora. It has humor and sarcasm to lift you up when you feel yourself drowning in the intensity of the plot. It is such a great read. Jax is beyond hot, and I loved how manly yet sensitive his character was. K.K. Allen’s description of his eyes painted such a vivid picture of him. I loved reading and learning about him. If guys like him exist in small towns in the middle of North Carolina, I need to take a road trip STAT! Seriously though, one of the most exciting books I have read all year and the twist at the end will leave you breathless. READ THIS BOOK!
