  • Travis by Mia Sheridan

I wasn’t sure she could do it. Don’t get me wrong, I love me a good redemption story, but after doing a re-read of Archer’s Voice recently, Travis still left a bad taste in my mouth that I wasn’t sure was removable. But…I digress, because this is Mia (my favorite author) we’re talking about, and she ALWAYS fixes what you think is unfixable. Travis is an entitled and arrogant, manipulative ass who’s road to selflessness could only be paved and enlightened by the beautifully broken and optimistic Haven from California. She is his opposite in so many ways and his parallel in so many others, that their love story and individual healing was, to put it basically…serendipitous. I so loved revisiting this picturesque small town of Pelion, Maine and all it’s quirky characters and CANNOT wait for more stories in this spin-off series. Like seriously Mia, give me Gage and Easton’s stories ASAP please and thank you! 😉

If you loved Archer’s Voice (view on Amazon↗️), Travis is a MUST READ! If you didn’t love Archer’s Voice, what the heck is wrong with you, hahaha! And if for some strange reason you haven’t read Archer’s Voice yet, go now…like seriously, read it now (linked below), then pick up Travis to read right after! Both are 5+ star reads that you need in your life, I promise. <3

  • After the Climb by Kristen Ashley

I read this book when it was first released in 2020, which is why it felt so familiar. This edition has bonus chapters that give so much more to the story and the stories to come. The characters, both the MCs and the secondary characters are fantastic. KA’s attention to detail is a lot for some readers, but I love it. Her descriptions of Bowie, his house, even down to his pets are great. The fact that the MCs are in their 50s did not diminish the romance or the heat factor, in fact, it added to it. I love the kids and how they all instantly became a family. It would be amazing if all blended families came together so easily. I absolutely can’t wait for Chloe and Judge’s story!

  • His Dark Desire by Gia Bailey

A perfect, short read filled with heated chemistry and insta-love. Max is the rugged alpha type who quickly takes Pru (and her sister) under his wing, making their safety his business and main concern. He is infatuated with Pru and the passion between them is anything but subtle. Gia created a nice balance in this book, skirting over suspenseful topics like what Max does without involving all the violence that usually comes with it. It is well written and fast paced and though I wish it went a little deeper into their relationship, the fact that it all came together in the end made it a great read.

  • Darkly by Helen Hardt

Helen Hardt writes some of the sexiest stories and Braden’s version of his love story with Skye is nothing short of perfect. The details from his point of view are insanely erotic. Knowing what is going through his mind and reading this thoughts was an instant turn on for me. I loved the slight darkness to him and really enjoyed the fact that Skye didn’t give him what he wanted right out of the gate. One of my favorite things about a story is the cat and mouse chase and Helen is masterful at creating that steamy, intense atmosphere. Now I can’t wait to go and read the other books in this series and see how their journey feels from different points of views!

  • Betting Blind by Loren Beeson

If I could give Jack & Cassidy’s story 10 ★★★★★★★★★★’s I would! There was something about their connection and chemistry that evoked butterflies in me and I adore that feeling (yes even ME, the dark romance lover enjoys a feel-good story every once and a while). I was drawn to Cassidy’s character for many reasons but one of the main was her love for her Mama. It really set the tone for how good-hearted and determined she was. When there was an issue, financially or day to day like her car breaking down, she never gave up or waited for someone to fix it. I LOVED that about her. She was a strong female and that definitely came in handy when Jack came into the picture. Ohhhh Jack. My new book boyfriend. I loved every. single. thing. about him. The way he carries himself in such a secure, powerful way was such a turn-on. Reading about his struggles and background just made his climb to greatness even more admirable. His story (and his brothers) brings a level of suspense and drama to the book that really pushed it to a different place for me. And while his scenes with Cassidy were SMOKIN HOT, Juliana and Derick stole the show for me in more ways than one. A book is successful when not only do you want more from the main characters, but also the secondary and Loren really hit this one out of the park!

  • Shameless Stranger by Hollis Wynn

Shameless Stranger is a really cute addition to the Cocky Heroes world! It would make an amazing beach read! It’s a slow burn romance with a very sweet heroine and a hot as sin hero who is, of course, super cocky. Blake and Ben are both adorable, and their chemistry is hot even as they explore their relationship fairly slowly. And their ending is very satisfying! The supporting characters are a lot of fun, too! This is a really fun, light read, perfect for anyone who needs a fast, uplifting story!

  • Gothikana by RuNyx

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to read a book by RuNyx. As a lover of dark, horror erotica, I normally search far and wide for unique, creepy tales and I am sad to say this was my first by this author, but definitely not my last! This was one of those books I picked up before bed to “start reading” and then before I knew it, it was 3 am and I was heartbroken that it was over. Every detail about this book is captivating. The setting. The characters. The passion. I felt like I was high off of the connection between Vad & Corvina. Oh my god, the way they just devour each other – in every sense of the word- is intoxicating. As a reader, I was completely enthralled in their taboo love affair. I LOVED the ending because it caught me so off guard but it SO left me wanting more! I gave this book a NUCLEAR rating for heat because the sex scenes are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! I read a lot of erotica, but the way RuNyx describes what is happening and the intensity of it took it to a whole other level for me. I hope this book only scratched the surface of these two and there is more to come because DAMN!

  • Dark Intentions by Charlotte Byrd

When I heard Charlotte Byrd was writing a new series I made sure book 1 was bumped to the top of my TBR list! Dante and Jaqueline are a match made in dirty, sexy heaven. I loved the atmosphere of club Redemption. It set the tone for their explosive chemistry and ridiculously hot attraction to one another. This storyline is littered with secrets, suspense, lust and twist after twist. I am loving every moment of their intense romance and cant wait to see what else Charlotte Byrd has in store for us in the next book!

  • Kiss Me by W Winters & Amelia Wilde

Willow Winters and Amelia Wilde are two of my “go-to” authors so a duet by the both of them is sort of like a wet dream for me! The characters were interesting and never dull, Zander working as private security and Ella being the one he now has to protect. She is broken in so many ways and his natural Dom instincts take over instantly and all he wants to do is make her his. Her life has been anything but boring and yet all she really yearns for deep down is some peace and healing. Zander walks the professional line for quite some time but how do you stop yourself from being attracted to someone, especially when you are with them so much? Their interactions are FILLED with powerful chemistry and once they begin down the road of D/s, the heat level just rises 🔥 🔥 🔥 ! “Do not test my control, you will regret the punishment immensely.” I mean… COME ON! The first part of this duet did not disappoint even with the slight cliffhanger. I HIGHLY recommend it!

  • Cruel Control by Candace Wondrak

All I can say is WELL DONE, Candace Wondrak. As a dark romance reader, I am embarrassed to say I’ve waited this long to read your books. Cruel Control is the perfect combination of intense uncomfortableness and captivating arousal. How Candace makes deplorable look sexy is a special talent. The story follows Juliet who is now forced into a life that Markus fully controls. It is a story about revenge, lust, violence and ultimately succumbing to desires. I honestly devoured this story in one sitting. I was intrigued by EVERY character and my heart had a soft spot for Will & Jaxson. They were infatuated with Juliet “Was it wrong of me to want her so badly?” and it made their characters seem human. Even Markus made me weak in the knees, for very different reasons. He was as hot as he was insanely controlling “Mine to break, mine to control, mine to do whatever the fuck I want with…” UGH, that man knows what he wants and enjoys every second of taking it. I found this story insanely addicting and I absolutely cannot wait for more!

  • Dirt Queen By Nora Blake

Aaron and Sarah are absolutely adorable. I am a sucker for young love and once you throw in a rekindling of romance, I am hooked. Nora Blake gives you a little bit of everything in Dirt Queen. You will laugh, cry, fan yourself and fall in love with the two of them. Their characters are so sweet and have been through so much, both apart and together. Their love story is one of resilience and strength. The twist definitely caught me a little off guard but it did not change how much I loved this book!

  • Fall Hard by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee

Fall comes for Chloe and brings a new guy! She meets Ryan at a craft fair instead of the dating site and sparks fly immediately. Why does she like him so much? Because he’s artsy like her and they share the exact same interests… he’s basically her in a stoned-out-of-his-mind-guy form. Really, she’s only into him for his beard, and boy does that beard do some magic! Once again, this new guy and the new season teaches Chole some things about herself. And throughout all of it, her crush for Austin is still simmering under the surface. I can’t wait to see what the next season has in store for her!

  • Meant to Be by Shaw Hart

A short quick read that was perfect for me in between two dark romances. Luca and Nora work together but Luca has been obsessed with her since day one. He wants to claim her as his own and finally decides to make his move and it’s well worth the wait. He worships her body. It’s insanely hot. All his dreams come true… including her getting pregnant but, things aren’t always as they seem. Overall a sexy little read that is fast paced and steamy and cuts straight to the point.

  • If You Only Knew by Chelsii Klein

This novella sets the tone for the story of Gabriella & Ashton. It is a great teaser for a relationship that promises to be a powerful love story. Gabriella’s current life is anything short of a fairytale. The beginning of this can be triggering for some as she goes through sexual and emotional abuse but the second Ashton comes knocking, you quickly forget all of that. I love the paranormal aspect to him. I feel like it makes him exotic! You can feel the attention to detail Chelsii put into the characters already in this novella so I look forward to the next chapter!

  • Sweet Collateral by LP Lovell

“Darkness and light will consume each other, after all.” I swear this quote sums up this book perfectly. Rafael and Anna are exactly that. He is a cartel head, strong and powerful. She is a sex slave, scared and broken. Darkness and light. Good and bad. They could not be more opposite and yet they cannot deny the attraction and desire between them. I viewed this story as a rebirth for both of them. Anna had struggles unimaginable to most. Her story is agonizing, brutal and heartbreaking. All Rafael wants to do is protect her and shield her from the weight of her past and it is a slow process but once she begins to trust him, the story takes on a whole new tone. This book is dark, with a plethora of triggers causing emotional chaos but with that darkness comes light and new beginnings.

  • Devil’s Deal by Aleatha Romig

First off, the cliffhanger at the end of this book had me shaking my kindle. What. In. The. Hell? How are you going to leave me like that, Aleatha? I knew this wasn’t going to be your average billionaire romance, promising darker elements and suspenseful plot twists but Emma and Rett’s entire journey is a nail biter. Both of them are strong. Both of them fight to stand their ground. They are more alike than either of them wants to admit which leads to some explosive sex scenes. I mean, the teasing alone between them is just 🔥🔥🔥. The push and pull that goes on between the two is powerful. Rett is trying so desperately to protect her (for good reason) and her struggle to let him is a huge factor throughout the story. But as we all know, the resistance to a strong, powerful, alpha male only lasts so long!

  • Resurrection of the Heart by A. Zavarelli and Natasha Knight

Man oh man. I could not wait for the finale of this series to come out but at the same time, I was dreading it. I knew once it was released, it was over. My love affair with the beast known as Santiago was coming to an end and it felt wrong coming to terms with that. This trilogy has been such an insane thrill ride. I honestly wasn’t sure which way the conclusion was going to go but I was floored by it. A. Zavarelli and Natasha Knight need to release MORE books together. They have quickly become one of my favorite dark romance duos! Ivy & Santiago’s story is twisted from book one and it touches on some deeply disturbing topics and scenarios all throughout the series, but how the authors managed to still make it epically beautiful and exciting throughout is why this trilogy is a must-read!

  • High-Rise Heat by Elle Berlin

Holy. Hotness. Batman. 🔥🔥🔥 I freaking LOVE me a hot as hell love triangle and Dom, Ilsa & Isaac radiate heat in the story. It is raw, carnal & pure ecstasy at times. I kept thinking “Oh damn!”… and then one page later as it is STILL happening it would grow into a “OH DAMNNNNNN!!!”. I mean Ilsa’s “Kiss me, Dom. Taste me. Fuck me.” moment should be the mantra of this book. Loved the taboo aspect of it being her boss (a hot as F Irish man might I add) and how much he couldn’t deny wanting her- “You talk about fantasies, Ilsa, but I got hard right in that conference room that first time I saw you.” UGH. ALL the tingles. ALL OF THEM. They were intoxicating. This story is a whole other level of heat. Seriously, the scene up against the window. 😮😮😮 I said it before and I will say it again… DAMN!

  • Dare You to Hate Me by B. Celeste

This story sends you down a path of happiness one minute and then crushing sadness the next. Ivy and Aiden have a beautiful connection, one that has remained from childhood. Ivy’s life has been anything but easy and her struggles are at the forefront of this book. B. Celeste revolves the plot around it, but doesn’t let it become overpowering and I thought that was really smart because you got to really focus on her and Aiden. He cares for her so much and watching him try to become her everything was one of my favorite things about this story. I honestly felt his character was so mature for his age and as Ivy began to open up and trust him, he really falls naturally into that protector role. This book gave me all the feels. It is fast paced. It is emotional. It is a roller coaster of emotions but I promise the ride is worth it!

  • Summer Rebound by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee

They say the best way to get over a guy is to get under another one. The next season of Chloe’s search for love leads her to a biker bar. Her biker blind date looks like a character from SOA and is a full-on rough, domineering (in a good way), sexy biker who also happens to be a nerdy accountant. Dune brings out Chloe’s wild/adventurous side, and she’s totally her for it… well, most of it. Summer Rebound is fun, light and super steamy. Dune will have you swooning and it’s fun watching Austin, the guy Chloe is secretly trying to get over, get jealous over Chloe’s new guy. It’s easy to see where this series is going, and I can’t wait to see what Fall has in storer Chloe!

  • Fractured by Blake Blessing

Blake Blessing, I truly have NO words. Fractured shook me to my core. It is a perfect combination of erotica and suspense. My mind is still trying to wrap itself around the ending / cliffhanger. First, I LOVED all the guys. Saint, Ambrose, Atticus and Kenzo each had their own personality and special place in Lilith’s f*cked up, guarded heart. I honestly swooned over each one of them throughout the story for different reasons. Lilith consumed me though. Everything about her was complex and engaging. Her struggles felt so real and soul crushing. Her need to feel SOMETHING was overwhelming and at times I felt myself getting lost in the way she used sex and affection as a mind numbing distraction. Like a band-aid on a dam about to burst. You know it is a temporary fix and you’re just holding your breath waiting for the inevitable explosion. But, the true MAIN character in this story is mental illness. It is at the beginning and end of every page and every chapter. It takes hold and doesn’t let go. No matter how many times Lilith tried to outrun it, ignore it, or drown it out with 1 or 4 men… it was there. I not only loved the first part of this duet because of how well-written the story and characters were, but also because of how unique it ALL is. Honestly, read this book. 5 stars ★★★★★ isn’t enough.

  • The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren

OK so I’ve read a lot of Christina Lauren’s books…like A LOT. Several of them have been 5 star reads. That being said, this might be my favorite Christina Lauren book of all time!!! Single mom meets sexy and broody scientist, they can’t stand each other but can’t stay away from each other either…HELLO sign me up! It’s got fantastic characters (lead and supporting), an interesting storyline you’ve never read before, smart and witty dialog, chemistry that burns up the pages and just the right amount of drama to keep you flipping pages, dying to find out how it all plays out. In this era of digital dating, is finding your soulmate actually a scientific matter of compatible DNA sequences? Could it be that simple, or actually that complicated? You’ll have to read this story to find out 😉 5 enthusiastic stars for me!

  • Rattlesnake Road by Amanda McKinney

This book left me speechless. I actually reread it as soon as I was done because I felt like I had been reading the words so fast in order to know what happened next that I did not get to savor it as I properly should have. The only way to sum up Grey’s story would be to describe it as an emotionally charged mystery that keeps you hooked on every word. Every. Word. Yes, it is just THAT GOOD. It deals with romance, sex, mental illness, hardship and struggles and moments that will literally take your breath away. The characters are refreshingly unique and well rounded (I adore Declan) and the world Amanda immerses the reader in is spectacularly written. I loved this story and found myself yearning for that happily ever after. This is more than a book, it is an experience. One you do not want to miss!

  • Swallow it Down by Addison Cain

I am a huge fan of dystopian book worlds so I jumped on this story the moment I saw Addison was putting it out. The characters are repulsive and raw, showing the real grit and grim of the new world they are living in and it can be brutal at times. It chills me to the bone to imagine a world where these things actually take place. True to Addison’s writing style, she leaves very little to the imagination, not walking the line of deplorable but happily leaping right over it. The Captain is a very interesting character who I definitely spent a decent amount of time yelling at in my head. I know some readers had a hard time connecting to Eugenia but, for me, I understood her struggles and fight. She did what she had to do and even though this love story is not perfect or everyone’s cup of tea, I felt like it was so accurately portrayed in the environment it was born into. There is desire, lust, unspeakable actions, and at times uncontrollable anger, but man, it makes for some good reading!

  • The Girl with Stars in Her Eyes by Xio Axelrod

Xio Axelrod left me with ALL the feels after finishing this book. It encompasses romance, friendships, powerful, sexy women Rockstar’s and second chances. Toni hasn’t had an easy life and her connection with Seb gets her through a rough adolescence… that is until he up and leaves. Fast forward years later and their paths cross again but this time, Toni has her guard up. I loved that this book not only shows their reconciliation struggles but also Toni’s internal battle with her life and career. She is feisty, strong and one helluva lead guitarist. Seb cannot deny what a hot, badass she has become and their chemistry leads to some sexy hookups from pent-up lust. It. Gets, HOT! But make no mistake, the love of music is front and center here and it is undeniably felt throughout this story. This will make a great summer read!

  • Accidental Love by Mya Grey

The second this book ended I found myself frantically looking for the next installment! I need to know what happens with Gale and Hillary. It is a very chaotic start to the series. Boy randomly meets girl. Girl throws drink at boy. Boy takes girl home. I loved the craziness of it. Their energy is HOT and even though the book only features one hook-up between them, it is enough to have you craving more. I hope the next book gives a little more detail into the characters lives because I can already tell they are intriguing.

  • Mafia King by Rachel Van Dyken

I’ve been here for the Mafia Royals series since book 1, and since then, I’ve been intrigued by Tank. FBI informant working both sides of the law, made man with the Mafia in his blood. I wondered what would happen when he finally had to choose sides. I mean, there was never a question of which side he’d pick, but I definitely didn’t see a romance with the much younger Kartini helping him make his choice. We don’t know much about Kartini going in, as she’s younger than the characters in the previous books. But she same that same badass-take-no-prisoners attitude as the heroines that came before her. I love, love, love this series!!

  • Spring Fling by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee

If you look up “steamy beach read” in the dictionary, Spring Fling is front and center! It’s fun and flirty, light and steamy and kept me smiling from start to finish. This is the first installment of Chloe’s journey to find love. It’s about putting yourself out there to find “the one”, but it’s also about all of the “not the one”(s) you meet along the way. Spring Fling is an easy, quick read and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Chloe next!

  • Natural Born Killers by Lucy Smoke

That was a wild ride!!! Lucy Smoke’s Sick Boys are the twisted men that you love and lust after but are secretly terrified of. Natural Born Killers may be even darker than the first two books in this series, as Avalon and Dean feed each other’s darkness, but it’s a delicious darkness that I couldn’t get enough of. If you enjoy badass heroines who have some twisted tendencies, and unrepentant bad boys, then this series is right up your alley. Avalon on a vengeance streak is a force of nature, and I was happy that I was on her side! Add to that the steam between Ava and Dean, and this is a must read! (One word of caution – read the warnings on this book. This book is DARK. There’s blood, killing, torture, and other very dark elements. Take the warnings seriously if you aren’t a fan of darkness.)

  • Midnight Fae Academy Book Four by Lexi C. Foss

Book Four ties up the Midnight Fae Academy series with a conclusion that is equal parts steam, conflict, and heart stopping twists. It jumps right into the action, and never lets up. The steamy scenes are amazingly satisfying. There is one in particular when I thought my kindle was going to light on fire. Aflora’s four mates are expertly crafted, and each has his own quirks and style that make them seem to jump off the page. The climax had me jumping up and cheering. This is a series that absolutely has to be read in order to make sense. But if you enjoy being kept on the edge of your seat, either by plot twists or steamy scenes, and you like a little bit of darkness, you will enjoy this series as much as I did.
