  • Unexpected Fate by Harper Sloan

If you’ve read the Corps Security Series (and if you haven’t, you need to rectify), then you’ll remember Cohen Cage as the sweet little boy obsessed with his Dad’s piercings. That sweet little boy grew up to be a M.A.N. Dani’s been in love with him since she was a little girl, and now she’s ready to convince him they belong together. I love a good friends-to-lovers story, but this goes beyond that. It’s so sweet and sexy and funny and heart-wrenching. There are old friends and one hilariously over-protective Dad (Hiii Axel). There’s romance and suspense, but most of all there’s a lot of love. [February 2015]

  • Forbidden Nights by Lauren Blakely

Friends-to-lovers? Sexy hero, teach me your seductive ways? You think you’ve read this story before, but OH HELL NO! Lauren amps it up in Forbidden Nights. Nate and Casey’s chemistry is off the charts hot and they make the best of it, all around the world. ~ Nelle [February 2015]

Where do I sign up for the lessons in seduction given by the sexy best friend? Seriously, this book is smoking HAWT! Nate and Casey have sexual chemistry that is off the charts!!! If you love a good friends-to-lovers story, something sexy with not a lot of drama and angst, then you’ll want to put this one on the top of your TBR list.

  • Driven by Fate by Tessa Bailey

Ooh Porter is so DIRRTY! Frankie is a very typical independent NYC woman. Together the make a wild and volatile pair! Keep a look out for that hotel scene! It’s off the charts hot. 4 1/2 Stars ~ Nelle [Feburary 2015]

  • Guarding Nadia by Lainey Reese

Lainey Reese knows how to write a sexy menage (anyone read her New York series?), so it’s no surprise that Guarding Nadia is well written with realistic, yet fantastic BDSM scenes. Who wouldn’t want two gorgeous Doms acting as her personal bodyguards AND making all her submissive fantasies come true? I’d gladly step into the picture Lainey paints with her words. Guarding Nadia is a quick read, great price (only 99 pennies), and is a story that will warm you up, if ya know what I mean. In my kinky opinion, I highly recommend! ~ Lina [February 2015]

  • One Night: Unveiled by Jodi Ellen Malpas

The conclusion to the One Night Trilogy is everything it needed to be. After the crazy ending of the last book, I was ready for the resolution. I was ready for M to stop pushing Livy away. I was ready for them both to fight for their relationship. Once again we get scorching hot bedroom time (and kitchen and office and….), we get M’s quirky-crazy OCD, we get the hilarious Grandma, we get the WTF twists and turns. Once this book got started, it was full throttle until the very last word. [February 2015]

  • Trowchester Blues by Alex Beecroft

I’ve been a huge Alex Beecroft fan ever since I discovered the Under The Hill series, and Trowchester Blues is the first Contemporary Romance I read by her. It was everything I could possibly hope for. Brilliant writing, intriguing characters, and a storyline that just swept me away. If you want to bury yourself in a book and not resurface until you’ve finished it, start this series. You’ll be waiting for the second book as impatiently as I am. Highly Recommended. ~ Solange [February 2014]

  • Floored by Melanie Harlow

Back in March 2014 when I read Frenched- the first book in the series, I was instantly smitten.

    Confession: I was obsessed.

“ZOMG HAVE YOU READ FRENCHED YET?! DOOOO IIIIIIIT.”

    *ahem*

I’ve been trying to figure out what exactly it is that I love so much about this series. What it is that stands out, sets it apart. What grabbed me from the very beginning. Aside from being a nice story, aside from being well written, aside from being super sexy… and I think I have finally figured it out.

The ladies of Frenched are my friends. I love them. They are my girlfriends. Or my sisters. Or women that I -wish- were my friends or sisters. That is the magic here. I love the women that Melanie Harlow writes, and Floored is no exception.

Smart, sassy, and wicked sexy. Floored is the perfect finish to one of my favorite series of 2014. ~ Kyleigh Jane [February 2015]

  • The Raven by Sylvain Reynard

I was really looking forward to SR’s The Raven. I love the Gabriel Trilogy so much and connected deeply with his writing. In The Raven, I found a relaxed pace complex paranormal story. I’m not a paranormal girl, but I found joy in reading the beautifully crafted prose. In this volume, Raven undergoes a wild transformation, but the story is free from the Dracula tropes. This gothic vampyre’s tale will continue in the next release. ~ Nelle [February 2015]

  • Hero by Samantha Young

Holy hell in a hand basket. Caine is the ultimate asshole-turned-less-asshole, and I could not get enough of his dirty mouth. Hero is deliciously naughty in all the right ways, including the feeling that I should have hated him, but I couldn’t help but want to launch myself at his face. Hero is a must-read! I loved everything about this book. A vulnerable but strong and sassy heroine, Check. A sexy alpha asshole you can’t help but love, Check. Off the charts sexual tension that explodes into gloriously hot sex, Check Check! Add in a fascinating storyline, sexy banter and a hilarious match-making old lady and you get a fantastic 5 star read!Wow. Caine Carraway may be my favorite Alpha A-hole of all time. His tough outer shell and closely guarded secrets makes it seem impossible for Caine and Alexa to find their happiness. Samantha Young weaves a sexy, complex story that’s full of secrets and intrigue. Highly recommended. [February 2015]

  • Before Jamaica Lane by Samantha Young

Before Jamaica Lane is a timeless tale of Olivia Holloway, a shy insecure librarian and her friend Nate Sawyer, a hot-as-hell player that runs in her social circle. Nate and Olivia’s friendship is challenged when he agrees to tutor her in the ways of love. When their friendship moves into the physical, Nate and Liv’s relationship faces unforeseen challenges. Their encounters are detailed beautifully by Samantha Young. In this volume, we see the growth of the other couples of On Dublin St. (Braden & Joss, Adam & Ellie and Cam & Jo). ~ Nelle [January 2014]

  • Seducing Cinderella by Gina L. Maxwell

Gina L. Maxwell’s Seducing Cinderella is a fun, lighthearted sexy ride! Lucie and Reid come together with combustible chemistry. I love an MMA fighter and Reid brings the heat! ~ Nelle [January 2015]

  • Better When He’s Bold by Jay Crownover

Ever since we met Race in the previous book, I’ve been excited for his story: the golden rich boy who turns to a life a crime for a sister he tries to protect, including sending his best friend to jail. And of course he wants the rich girl who dislikes him, at least that’s what he thinks. I have to admit that Brysen and Race are cute together. He’s always trying to make her life better, to take care of her as much as he can, while she allows him to be the king of The Point, never expecting him to change for her or join the upstanding citizens he came from years ago. Though the main suspense story involved Brysen, there is drama concerning The Point and the underground. Jay definitely sets up the next 2 books and I cannot wait for their stories.[January 2015]

  • It Must Be Your Love (The Sullivans, Book 11) by Bella Andre

This is a sweet second chance romance from Bella Andre. Mia is understandably skittish after her quick fling with Ford went bad. Years go by and Ford decides to go for what’s (or who) is missing in his life. His dedication to getting his woman is OOH-HONEY!! ~ Nelle [January 2015]

  • Risking it All by Tessa Bailey

In Risking it All, Tessa Bailey departs from her usual beach-reads to something grittier and deeper, but keeps her signature sexy style. She keeps the crime storyline moving while developing the star-crossed love story between Bowen and Seraphina. Bowen is a bad boy, like bad-to-the-bone, nurse-turned-undercover-cop Seraphina Newsom is the sweetest of the sweet. Tessa brings the two together in a combustible combination of chemistry and intrigue. The twists keep the pages turning and you’re kept guessing until the very end.

Dark. Dirty. Gritty. That about sums it up. Bowen is the baddest of the bad boys and I freaking LOVE HIM!! Everything about him. Sera is the light to his dark. Total opposites that fit together perfectly. We get it all…Mystery, suspense, heat. And NO ONE does heat quite like Tessa. Bowen might be her dirtiest mouth yet and couldn’t get enough.

In Tessa Bailey’s books, good doesn’t fight evil; they succumb to the magnetic forces she perfectly crafts for heart-pounding, swoon-worthy scenes. Risking It All gives us the best of good versus evil, only in the end, we all win (and my panties lose).[January 2015]

  • One to Leave by Tia Louise

Tia gives us another tortured military hero and the woman who saves him in One to Leave. This was a great blend of family love, love from the good woman of his dreams, and overcoming a tragic past. The angst wasn’t overdone, the sex scenes hot, and the storyline was lovely to follow, especially seeing the previous couples adding to it..
Watching a strong man break because of PTSD and war wounds was heartbreaking, but then Stuart finds his way again with the help of his best friend, his brother, and Mariska – a woman he fights himself over keeping her by his side. [January 2015]

  • The Prince by Sylvain Reynard

I’m not the Paranormal Maven around here. That title goes to Marissa; but I am a huge fan of Sylvain Reynard. SR has a remarkable gift for storytelling and can bring the story to life with his beautiful prose. The Prince is a perfect bridge between the Gabriel Trilogy and the the new Florentine series. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

When it comes to paranormal, I am a tough customer. You’ve got to really dazzle me to snag me. But, having enjoyed The Gabriel Trilogy, I found myself with a copy of The Prince and some time to kill. So here we are on the other side, and I think….

    I’m still not a paranormal girl…

The snobby prose that I found charming in Gabriel, didn’t charm me as much in The Prince. The main character of the story seems to be… Italy? The cover is… is that the vampire dad from Twilight?… Then all the brooding paranormal things of paranormality… I don’t know. Dazzled? Meh. However, The Prince is an essential bridge between Gabriel and the new Florentine series, and I’m still curious enough to continue on and give The Raven a chance.

Bottom line: If you are a fan of mysterious grudge-holding vampires, Italy, and using your dictionary, you will probably love The Prince. (3-1/2 stars) [January 2015]

  • All’s Fair Series by Josh Lanyon

This will come as a surprise to exactly no one, but I am a huge Josh Lanyon fan. I mean which self-respecting gay romance reader isn’t? In my eyes he’s king of this warm, rainbow-colored jungle where I like to spend my reading hours. He nails it again in this series, guys. And you know what? The second book is even better than the first, believe it or not. You don’t want to miss this. Murder, mayhem, and chemistry that will melt your Kindle. Satisfaction guaranteed. ~ Solange [November 2014]

  • On Solid Ground by Melissa Collins

On Solid Ground is another solid winner. I have an enormous soft spot for Beckett in this book and there are some truly heart wrenching moments that are perfectly offset by the wonderful development of the relationship. Also? Tattoo artist and veteran. Do I need to say more? Go forth and indulge! Highly recommended! ~ Solange [January 2015]

  • Four Days by Dannika Dark

Four Days is a 1-2 punch of awesomeness. Seriously, when an author can redeem a character from the previous books so well that you want to marry him, you know the book is good. Plus, Dannika threw in some plot twists from left field that had me tearing up and then smiling with happiness. I actually had a difficult time narrowing down my favorite quotes, because both Lorenzo and Ivy were given great lines. I also loved catching up with the other Seven series’ characters, watching how they all banded together to help protect Ivy, and then trying to figure out who the lucky next couple will be. [January 2015]

  • Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren

Max Stella is a Book Boyfriend All Star. Christina Lauren gives us a fabulously fun that’s super sexy and full of tension. Sara is skittish about getting in deep with Max, but she (like me) finds him irresistible. ~ Nelle [January 2015]

  • Counterpunch by Aleksandr Voinov

I just want to give you a heads up that I read book 2 before I read book 1, and I had to DNF Anchored because of the on-page non-con. This is an entirely personal preference, the book certainly wasn’t bad, just not for me. Book 2 has non-con, but it fades to black.
Now that’s out of the way, guys… Counterpunch is intense. It’s one of those books you read and the outside world completely fades away. For a while you’re in that world and it’s frightening and exhilarating and sexy. And you don’t want it to end. I think this may be my favorite Voinov, and that’s saying something. [December 2014]

  • RAZE by Tillie Cole

RAZE is proof that a dark story doesn’t have to make you uncomfortable and can be lovely.

  • Falling Away by Penelope Douglas

Oh. My. Jax. So hot. I fell in love with him immediately. It took me a little longer to warm up to KC; I was still annoyed with her behavior in the previous books. Their sexual tension was off the charts. They were constantly either fighting or all over each other, and KC’s hot/cold attitude toward him was annoying. But we learn a lot about KC and why she is the way she is. We get all the feels in this book. It’s sad, funny, sexy and Jax has a gorgeously dirty mouth on him. [January 2015]

  • Betting on Fate by Katee Robert

Katee Robert takes her writing and storytelling to a new level in Betting on Fate. I’ve noticed that the Entangled Brazen (#LikeCandy) has been pushing the boundaries lately and I love it! Kudos to Katee for bringing new elements to the #LikeCandy stories. [January 2015]

  • Riskier Business by Tessa Bailey

Troy and Ruby are back and bring all the heat you would expect. Troy and Ruby love hard and fight hard. This book exposes new facets to their relationship and sets the stage for Risking it All. While it’s not necessary to read His Risk to Take in advance, it is highly recommended.

Another home run from Tessa!! Troy and Ruby’s relationship is tested as Ruby’s past comes back to haunt her. Troy has to give up his much needed control and let Ruby do her thing. It’s hot, it’s sweet, it has that HolyShit! moment I love, it’s hot. It has Bowen…….and everything else we love about Tessa’s books. [January 2015]

  • Fated by Indra Vaughn

I’m a big big fan of Indra Vaughn. There’s just something so easy and smooth about her story-telling. With Fated she gives us a little PNR, a little mystery, some suspense, humor, romance and hot M/M action. One sex scene in particular is probably the hottest I’ve ever read. It’s the first book in the series, not a cliffy but a few loose ends have me waiting impatiently for the next book. [January 2015]

  • Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren

Bennett Ryan is a dirrty-dirrty alpha-asshole and I LOVE IT! Christina Lauren’s debut hits the spot between sexy and funny. Their creative style brings the couple and the story to life and it leaves me wanting more. [December 2014]

  • Beneath the Stain by Amy Lane

I think… if you threatened to take my Kindle away and set it on fire if I didn’t give you the one gay romance book you should read this year… I think this would be it. Beneath the Stain isn’t a roller coaster ride so much as it’s a life journey. The heartache is almost unbearable but the sweet moments when they come are just as painful–in a good way. If you like angst as much as I do, you’ll get a year’s worth right here. I had to put this book down and just breathe so I could recover. [December 2014]

  • Incandescent by River Savage

Hot, dirty talking alpha male – check!

    Sassy heroine – check!

What can I say? I love a dirty talking, rough and tough biker who knows he’s found the perfect woman for him. And River has graciously given me (us) Nix. Plus, Kadence is no pushover, but she does love to be bossed around by Nix and lets him know in very hot and sexy ways. Also, it can’t be a true biker story without a rival motorcycle gang and threats to the main woman and biker club, and River weaves it all into an erotic suspense story. We also see the sweet side of Nix when he deals with his young son and when he tells Kadence he’s going to marry her. Don’t worry, there are some laughs. You can’t help it when a bossy, domineering biker falls hard for a prim school teacher, and his friends love giving him a hard time about it. [December 2014]

  • Wild and Free by Kristen Ashley

Pure KA epicness!! I’ve been waiting for this book for ETERNITY and it did not disappoint! It’s hard to keep a reader’s interest for over 600 pages, but Kristen Ashley does it well. I love Abel and Delilah, as individuals and as a couple. I love that instant connection, the hole that was filled when they met. I loved Abel’s family, the loyalty, love and trust between them. I love the bikers. I LOVE Callum and Sonia, and even started to love Lucian and Leah. There was that one moment where I wanted to get in my car, find KA and shake her. The story, the battles, the love, the heat. Pure KA epicness.

When you’ve been waiting years to read the grand finale to a beloved author’s trilogy, you pray it lives up to your expectations. And then, you spend 10 hours ravenously reading her words as she tells the wonderful story of Abel and Lilah, saving the world alongside the characters you’ve grown to love from the previous two books. Even if you have never read (or aren’t keen on) paranormal romances, Kristen Ashley writes her characters in a way that you forget the story has magic and fantasy in it. I did not want it to end, and then when it did, I had such a hangover. I know I’ll need to reread this again just so I soak in more of the story’s nuances. ~Marissa
