  • Under The Mistletoe With Me by Kristen Proby

I love all the books in the With Me in Seattle Series and this novella is no different. Isaac Montgomery and his wife Stacy have been married for a while, they struggled to have a baby and have hit a rut. Stacy has suspicions about Isaac’s loyalty and they’re not spending enough time together. Can Isaac and Stacy recapture the magic? This novella introduces Stacy’s cousin, Safe with Me’s Brynna, and includes the (super sexy) prologue of Fight With Me. [December 2013]

  • Chasing the Dragon by Kate Sherwood

This book takes you in a lot of unexpected directions, a little bit like life itself, I think. It made for an interesting read that held me captivated the whole way through. There were moments where I didn’t agree with the characters’ choices, but we all make dumb decisions in life, and I’d like to hope we can all be forgiven for them by those who love us. Read it if you like your characters flawed and broken, and like to see them have the happy ending they deserve. ~ Solange [October 2014]

  • Bluewater Bay Series by L.A. Witt, L.B. Gregg, Z.A. Maxfield, Aleksandr Voinov, Heidi Belleau

Talk about the cream of the gay romance author crop! I was going to hang on to this series until I’d read all the books but after L.B. Gregg’s installment, I can’t keep quiet any longer! This is exactly the sort of feel-good, heart-warming, wholesome goodness you want during the upcoming holiday months. Whether you’re on this side of the world and trying to keep warm, or on the other side trying to cool down at the beach, you’ll want these books to relax when you manage to snatch some time for yourself. All these books are set in the same town but have unique characters, so they can be read in no particular order. [November 2014]

  • One Night: Denied by Jodi Ellen Malpas

If you thought the first book in the One Night Trilogy was crazy, you’ll agree that this one is down right manic! Livy now knows Miller’s secret and after A LOT of torment, she decides to stick with him. Which is great when he wants her to fight for them. He does, then he doesn’t. He pushes her away only to want her back. Over and over and over again. They’re either deliriously happy and having fantastically hot sex or throwing-things pissed off…but that’s love. Questions were answered and more were raised. One Night: Veiled can’t come soon enough!! [November 2014]

  • City of Champions by Chloe Barlow

City of Champions introduces us to Wyatt, football star and family caretaker, who meets Jenna by coincidence with her best friend from Book 1. What follows is a chase for love that neither felt deserved or had the time for, and that’s what makes it that much sweeter through the trials and tribulations. Wyatt is cocky and hard headed when it comes to his career and taking care of his family. There were times I may have wanted to slap him for being an idiot with Jenna. But, then he’d make up for it with sweet times unexpected by someone jaded by love. Jenna was just as stubborn, and their headbutting made for some angsty, sexy, and sometimes funny interactions. Plus, we get to see all the main characters from the previous book and it was great to catch up and delve further into their development. [November 2014]

  • Nights with Him by Lauren Blakely

Ooh, Honey! Jack and Michelle burn up the pages. Jack is a sex toy mogul who doesn’t rely on the devices to compensate, but uses them (skillfully, I may add) to enhance his encounters with Michelle. The story is very fast paced and super steamy. Highly recommended!

Soldier-turned-sex-toy-mogul with commitment issues meets Shrink with commitment issues. One night of deliciously hot sex turns into more. Here’s what I loved most about this smoking hot, sexy book: the toys are like a lovable secondary character. They were definitely an important part of the story, but didn’t seemed over-used…(Ahem, unlike my own…but I digress). Anywho…well done Lauren!!! [November 2014]

  • After the Rain by Renee Carlino

Lots and lots of feels in this one. Neither Ava nor Nate have a clue how to be in a relationship, but they know that they’re attracted to each other. Together they learn how to feel and how to live. It’s a long and very bumpy road for both of them, many times one step forward and ten steps back. It’s a story of love and loss and moving on. It’s about family and support and healing. It’s sad. It’s beautiful. It’s fantastic. One of my favorite reads of the year! Read. This. Book. [November 2014]

  • Rumor by Skye Jordan

Oh, how I love the Renegades. In this edition, we get to know our sexy former Navy SEAL risk assessor, Josh. Josh and Grace’s story comes together warmly and intensely, in very few pages. It’s a real skill to bring a story full circle as a novella and Skye Jordan delivers (as always). [November 2014]

Even in a novella, Skye Jordan is able to give me all the feels. I’ll admit, I didn’t much like Josh in the previous book, but he has earned my heart with his story. Even though he’s fought his love and attraction for Grace for years, he comes to the decision to finally give in to it all and step up. And he does this in sweet ways that will have you swooning over this man. Grace is a woman who’s had to reevaluate her life and make some tough choices that completely change how she looks and acts, but she’s finally come out of her shell. Josh is shocked at first, but his love for her just moves with the changes and grows even larger. He supports her in all her endeavors and alters his life for her, especially after witnessing what issues she’s had to deal with since he last saw her. Another great addition to the Renegades series, thank you Skye. [November 2014]

I love the Renegades, and even though Josh isn’t technically a Renegade, I fell for him just as hard. His loyalty to his friend and ex-teammate made him run from the girl of his dreams. Now he gets his second chance. Another swoon-worthy hero and strong, independent heroine from Syke. Love it! [November 2014]

  • Before We Fall by Courtney Cole

I’ve read some broken heroes, but Dominic Kincaid takes the award! I hated him for most of the book. He’s an arrogant, selfish, entitled, fucked-up ass hole. Jacey just wants to be loved. She’s been burned and knows she should stay away from the bad boys. She’s one of those girls that think they can fix the broken men. I liked her because she’s feisty, strong and doesn’t take Dom’s crap. Their story is funny, sad and filled with all sorts of kinky sex. Winner!! [November 2014]

  • Dirty Rowdy Thing by Christina Lauren

Sometimes, okay rarely, I find a book that hits ALL all of my buttons. In this story, Finn and Harlow love hard, fight hard and f**k HARDER! Christina Lauren builds a super hot but nuanced love story that’s entertaining to an absurd level. One of my favorites of the year. [November 2014].

  • Letting Go by Molly McAdams

This is one of those rip-your-heart-out-and-stomp-all-over-it book. From the first page, it was heartbreaking, and just when you think it can’t get worse, it does! It’s about loss and guilt and secrets and more guilt. But Grey and Jaggar are one of those couples that are meant to be. He’s protective and loving and genuine and just wants to be there for her, no matter what. He’s definitely a swoon-worthy BBF. If you’re looking for a SUPER emotional read, this one is perfect. [November 2014]

  • St. Nacho’s Series by Z.A. Maxfield

You know that moment when the stars align and the universe is on your side, and you find a book you absolutely *needed* in that moment? That’s St. Nacho’s for me. I’d had this on my Kindle for a while, because I thought the title was a little silly, so the book must be a little silly, and I wasn’t in the mood for that. Boy, was I wrong. I’ve never bought an entire series this fast, and every single book by one author to follow. I could quote this entire novel, every line is a fucking gem, and I don’t know if I want to weep or laugh. This is a rare read, guys, one of those books you come across once, maybe twice a year. If you ever wanted to try one of my recommendations, believe in this one. Infinite stars. [ 2014]

  • Circus of the Damned by Cornelia Grey

This is a really excellent read. From the magic to the mechanical elephant, to the dark undertones, it all completely captivated me. I did find myself wishing there was more to certain scenes, and I definitely wouldn’t say no to a sequel, but it works very well as a standalone. Loved the concept, the flawed characters, even the super sexy devil. More please! ~ Solange [September 2014]

  • Baby, It’s Cold Outside by Jennifer Probst, Emma Chase, Kristen Proby, Melody Anne and Kate Meader

As the weather turns chilly, let’s turn to something that will get us in the mood for the holidays! Five amazing authors bring their original stories of cold weather or fantastic holiday tales. Enjoy Kristen Proby’s Saving Grace right now with her winter themed story. Save Emma Chase’s story until closer to Christmas and love Drew Evans as Ebenezer Scrooge.

  • Point of Freedom by Stacey Lynn

Who doesn’t love a good enemies to lovers with a side of forbiddenness? Stacey Lynn brings it to the biker world and she does it well. I believe this is my favorite and her best story to date. There’s so much guilt on both sides of the relationship, especially when Jaden has always wanted his brother’s girl. Even though he blames Jules for Scratch’s death, he can’t give up his conflicting feelings of wanting her for his own. Jaden does not make it easy on Jules to love him, always pushing and pulling her, but then doing small things that make her want and love him. We also get some suspense from the MC and Jules’ own past, some hot lovin’ (note: piercings) and reconnecting with the previous books’ couples as they try to help these two out. Luckily, the MC always steps up to protect their own. [October 2014]

  • Captivated: Seize the Night by Tiffany Reisz

Seize the Night recommendation: Can you go wrong with a Tiffany Reisz erotic retelling of Shakespeare? Ahhh no. No you can’t. Tiffany brings her witty dialogue and f-hot chemistry to Remi and Julien’s story. She can bring the complexity of a full length novel to the short form story. Highly recommended. [October2014]

  • Last Light (The Night Owl Trilogy) by M. Pierce

So, it’s basically Christmas morning, yeah? We’ve all read Night Owl. (squints, looks out over the room, scans for stragglers who’ve somehow missed it… yes, I see you there in the back. honey, it’s time. go read.) Anyway. Where was I?… Oh yes, Christmas morning. So we’ve opened all the little doors on our little Night Owl advent calendars, nestled ourselves all snug in our beds, with visions of a Matt and Hannah dancing in our heads. Then finally, finally, the wait is over. We open our eyes and our Kindles, and Last Light is here!

    CHRISTMAS.
    FREAKING.
    MORNING.

You know when you’re super bouncy-spazzy-excited about a book, you almost worry if it’s just… there’s no way it could possibly live up to your lofty expectations, and you ultimately end up feeling a bit disappointed?
Yeah, Last Light isn’t like that at all.
It’s a sharp, conflicted, roller-coaster ride of expertly written guts and feels, suspense and deception, and scenes so breathtakingly erotic, I may have developed carpal tunnel syndrome…
    *ahem*

I wrestled with how to review and recommend this book. Whether to give you the fun/playful review, where I roll around on the floor licking and petting my kindle just saying “Oh God” over and over again, or the smart literary review where I would touch on the depth and discord, the venom and vulnerability, the passion and duplicity, the relationships between The Brothers Sky, and how truly, exceptionally crafted this story is.

I guess I’ll settle somewhere in the middle by telling you that Last Light will take you everywhere. You’ll be twisted up, turned on, wrung out, love it, hate it, curse it, embrace it, laugh and cry and kick it in the shin, and never want it to end.

    And that?…
Well, that’s a damn good book.

Kyleigh Jane is not wrong when she says waiting for this book was like waiting for Christmas morning. The anticipation was out of control. And, thank the Goddess above, it delivered! Matt Sky is still bat-shit crazy. Hannah is still head over heels in love with him. Nate is still awesome. And now we get Seth, the other Sky brother…. gorgeous and a bit scary.

There’s so much going on in this book, it was, at times, hard to wrap my head around it all. It’s crazy and sexy and emotional and sexy. And did I mention the molten hot sex? Molten. Hot. Read it, and then we can all wait together until next Christmas. [October 2014]

  • Forked by Melanie Harlow

Oh my heart, and my guts, and my panties. Melanie Harlow does it again, in Forked, book 2 in the Frenched series. If you were as cuckoo-crazy about Frenched as I was, you’ll love Forked. Coco and Nick have some major major history, and I was rooting for them from the start. Delicious tension, heartwarming tenderness, clever banter, and major heat. Serious swoonage. [October 2014]

  • Exposed by Fate by Tessa Bailey

Always count on Tessa to deliver heart and the hottest of the hot. In this case, it’s the hottest shower scene of all time. I’m not even kidding. I was in the dentist chair fantasizing about the shower scene. It’s that good. [4.5 Stars]

Friends to lovers stories are my favorite, and Tessa brings the heat (as usual) with this one. Oliver and Eliza share 2 of the hottest sex scenes I’ve ever read. Seriously. Have an extra pair of panties ready. It’s BDSM lite…some bondage and spankings but none of the hard-core stuff. Oliver’s dirty mouth will make you squirm. Simply put, it’s deliciously dirty.

Take searing hot sex, fantastic writing, and all the feels, toss it in a can, shake it up, flip it around, and what do you get?
    Tessa
    Mother-Cussing
    Bailey

She never fails to deliver the goods. Time and time again. Filthy delicious and addictive, Exposed by Fate pulls you in, holds you tight and touches you in all the dirty no-no places. Perfection. Surely Tessa holds some sort of Five Star record with us. Can we look that up, please?
Run. Do not walk. Run to get your copy.

  • Killer Queen: A Painted Faces Novel by L.H. Cosway

Viv and Fred are back! This gorgeous companion novel is such a treat after one of my five star favorites, Painted Faces. We get the story from Nicholas perspective this time, and it made me love him even more. Unique, engaging, heartwarming, and sexy. If you loved Painted Faces, this is a must read. If you haven’t read Painted Faces yet…. dude. Get on it! ~ Kyleigh Jane [October 2014]

  • Light Her Fire by Samanthe Beck

Samanthe Beck BRINGS IT with Light her Fire. Josh turns good girl Melody a little bit bad with humor and heart. Dirty talking Josh and sweet Melody make a fire-hot couple. [October 2014]

  • Private Practice by Samanthe Beck

This is Samanthe Beck’s debut novel, and it doesn’t disappoint. Dr. Ellie is very set on her structure to use her lessons from Tyler to seduce another man. Tyler has other ideas. The story moves along at a great pace and super witty and sexy! [October 2014]

  • Rowdy by Jay Crownover

In Rowdy, Jay Crownover brings Salem and Rowdy’s story to life. Rowdy is bringing the emotion and the downstairs hardware to the table. Their backstory is beautifully nuanced and complex. When Salem’s sister comes to town it cause a whole s-storm of drama! So good! ~ Nelle [October 2014]

  • The Power Exchange Series by AJ Rose

Forgive me Smuffins, for I have sinned. I have been sitting on these books for a while, and I’ve wanted to recommend them to you because you deserve to know about the brilliance that is the Power Exchange Series. Truth? I couldn’t find the words to tell you how badly I needed you to read these books. They’re dark, and they hurt, and they hurt for a long time after you put them down–but in a good way. I still don’t know how to tell you that you can’t miss out on these books if you like BDSM, mysteries, or just simply well-written, soul-devouring, heart-rending books. They broke me, and I haven’t managed to entirely put myself back together again. (I’m getting teary eyed just reading through my highlighted quotes, I seriously can’t deal with all these feelings *flies into the sun*)

***Warning*** the third book is by far the darkest I’ve read in this genre. The author warns for graphic violence and rape, and these are no idle warnings. It’s brutal. If this is not your thing, by all means, enjoy the first two books, which are still dark, but didn’t push my limits like Consent did. [October 2014]

  • Ruin by CD Reiss

I admit, I was confused at the end of Spin, but rolling right into Ruin, CD Reiss picks up where it left off and doesn’t give Theresa and Capo a break. Oh, HELL no. These two are like the dirtiest bunnies in the forest, using sex as their own weapons and punishment. The story around the sex has depth and history, just like her other books, and like her others, is so well written, I have to take mental breaks to wrap my brain around its prose. Spin and Ruin should be read together, and they complete the story to the point that you can read them without waiting for the next book. A definitely MUST read!

CD Reiss brings the Capo and Contessa back with a bang! The story is so compelling and the sexin’ is so NAUGHTY! I love the complexity of the mafia story intermixed with the wild relationship of Theresa and Antonio.

Love stories aren’t always pretty, and this one most definitely is not pretty. But it’s a love story all the same. It’s about Antonio and Theresa protecting each other from everything, including themselves. It’s violent and sexy and funny and sad. And don’t even get me started of the dirty, angry sex. Perfect.

The deliciously despicable Capo is back! This isn’t the story of some weak woman lead astray. Theresa hungers to be sullied by Antonio. Ruined.

Passion, power and corruption- Ruin is explosively hot, expertly crafted, and perfectly titled. [October 2014]

  • Just Gotta Say by Laura Kaye

Oh look at this? A super-dirrty Laura Kaye novella! Callie gets to live out her fantasies with her three hot roommates and takes us along for the ride. Flashback a few years back to the land of plasma TVs and porn DVDs and enjoy a bit of a foursome.

What girl wouldn’t love to have her fantasy of a threesome come to life? But instead of two guys she gets her three best friends. You heard me…three. They’re all secretly (a little bit) in love with her and she’s ready for them to make her fantasy come true. Bring an extra pair or two of panties. You’ll need them. [October 2014]

  • Unteachable by Leah Raeder

Probably the best NA book I’ve ever read, and not your typical young romance. Unteachable is a beautiful story of love and the consequences that come with loving someone you’re not supposed to be with. The old story of forbidden love is done beautifully and you won’t want the story to end! GET THIS BOOK!!!

Okay, let me set the scene a little bit: I’d just finished a book that I was kinda “meep-merp” about. What to read next?
    Scrolling through Kindle… scrolling… scrolling… “Unteachable.”
Now this book has been on my Kindle for like… I don’t know, nine months or something. Just, a really unreasonable amount of time. Excuses: New Adult isn’t usually my bag, my TBR is crazy long, new releases pouring in, yadda yadda. It just kept getting bumped down my list of books waiting to be read.

    *Anyway*

So then, a trusted friend mentions that this is a favorite of theirs and (after another few weeks pass) I finally decide to crack open Unteachable and give it a whirl.

WHAT. THE FUCK. IS WRONG WITH ME?!

Why did I WAIT?! God, for MONTHS this has been sitting on my Kindle?! This unexploded IED of amazingness just… SITTING THERE?!

I can’t even… I mean… my stupid words are so STUPID attached this incredible book.
This isn’t just some simpleton’s taboo story of a tryst between teacher and student. This isn’t another consume and toss-away story. This was…. Art. Brilliant. Strong. Mature. Surefooted. Brave. Elegant.
Leah Raeder is a word-wizard, and I have a raging brain crush on her now.
I don’t know who Leah is, or where she came from, or what she was doing before penning Unteachable. I don’t know if she was in school, or waiting tables, or sewing garments in a windowless room full of illegal aliens. What I DO know, is that this is her calling.

Leah. Wherever you came from, whatever you were doing, this is your GIFT. I’m sorry I’m a total dick and waited so long to lie down with your story.

Learn from my mistakes, people. Read Unteachable now. [May 2014]

  • Red Dirt Heart by N.R. Walker

N.R. Walker’s writing is as smooth as a drink of water in the red desert this book so vividly describes. If you’re in the mood for an extremely well written tale that includes hot cowboys (and HAWT cowboy sex), beautiful Australian scenery, and a lovely insight in the life on an Australian Ranch (I mean Station!), this is the book for you. I was a blubbering, emotional mess by the end of the first book, and immediately bought the second. I’m going to savor that one, and hope there will be a third. Highly recommended. [ September 2014]

  • Bang Bang by Rachel Van Dyken

This novella is the perfect way to catch up with the families of the Eagle Elite series. Ax is the cousin of The Boss and he’s come out of hiding to save his best friend, the girl he left behind. It’s sweet, funny, sexy and not as violent as the other books in the series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I highly suggest you read the others before this novella. You won’t be disappointed. [October 2014]

  • Promise Me This by Christina Lee

I’ve enjoyed this series and Promise Me This is no exception. It’s a sweet love story of two opposites: the preppy, rich player and the tatted-up girl who doesn’t sleep around. They’re friends who would banter and flirt, but an accidental weekend away together gets the sparks flying. Nate and Jessie heat up the bedroom, but he’s holding back. This is one of those predictable romances, but I enjoyed the drama of Nate’s family and the passion Nate and Jessie shared. It’s the perfect quick weekend read. [October 2014]
