  • The Prince by Jennifer Armentrout

If you have read my reviews before, you know I have a huge lady boner for Jennifer Armentrout! This book was mind blowing for me. I was so happy to be back in the world of her Wicked trilogy, seeing some of my favorite characters again. (Why, hello again, Tink.) And there’s something about the scenes Jen writes where the characters are in public, hiding from bad guys by simulating sexy times, that always gets the job done for me. If you are a fan of her Wicked series, and you should be, you need to read this one!!! Caden and Brighton’s journey will not disappoint you.

  • Idol by Kristen Callihan

I was hooked on this romance from their first meeting, which was NOT good. But, it was definitely unique and watching them fall in love in a secluded place before the outside world barged in was magical. Killian was definitely rough and hurting, but Libby’s sweetness helped him sober up and realize his life was missing her in his life. Killian told Libby he fell in love with her over her homemade biscuits and I maybe swooned a bit.
I liked getting to know his bandmates, even if they could be idiots. I can’t wait for their books. They helped add more humor to the story, even though Killian and Libby had some pretty funny scenes together, too. Even though I knew what the big climax was going to be, I’m glad to say the angst doesn’t last long and we get our HFN.

  • The Truth About Lies by Aly Martinez

Lie: Aly Martinez, I’m not speaking to you! I’m really, really mad at you!

Truth: What a freaking fantastic book! It’s super angsty and gut-wrenching…until it’s not. And those twists and turns! And that freaking ending! I don’t know what else to say except this will probably be my favorite read of 2018. I’ll be waiting VERY impatiently for book two. SO GOOD!!

  • Blood Heart by Lexi C. Foss

This is the third book in Lexi C. Foss’s Immortal Curse Series, and it completely blew me away! I am 100% in love with all of these characters, and watching their stories develop is an addiction I don’t want to break. Jayson is a super hot, dirty-talking, dominant hero, and Lizzie’s growth from sheltered innocent to sexual being is a lot of fun to watch. The story is beyond fascinating, and the more I get of it, the more I want. There were moments in the book that made me laugh out loud, and others that made me want to throw my kindle across the room. I really cannot wait for the next book to come out!!!

  • Incognito by Siobhan Davis

Do you love a bad boy, rock-star romance? Incognito is an emotional take on a troubled musician and the girl who can change him for the better. What I loved most about this story is that it focused on BOTH the characters struggles, not just Shawn. Dakota has been through a very traumatic experience that changes her life drastically and the book follows her overcoming those shattered dreams. When Shawn finds himself looking for inspiration on a college campus, he cannot help but be drawn to the beautiful dancer. Their is an instant connection but the passion that grows between them runs deep and grows into something neither one expected. A classic “meant for each other ” story with tons of emotion and romance, plus a happy ending!

  • The Chase by Elle Kennedy

If you love when the girl chases the guy, even though he wants her, you will not be able to put this book down. I loved Summer and Fitz, they were funny and imperfect characters and I could not get enough of them. Their issues were well written and explained, there aren’t huge surprises, but the flow of the story will keep you engaged until the end. This book was the perfect example of how to write a great romance and now I need to read Elle’s other college series.

  • Not So Nice Guy by RS Grey

This was my first romance by RS Grey and not my last. There are whole sections I highlighted because they were so funny. And I loved that this wasn’t a typical friends-to-lovers romance. It was a little slow-burn for the majority because Ian wouldn’t give in to the chemistry right away. Reading Ian and Sam’s banter as best friends morph into sexy talk was hilarious, especially when they were trying to hide their new relationship from most everyone.

  • Confessions: Priest by Ella Frank

The third installment of the Confessions series is intense! The focus this time is on Priest and all the secrets he has carefully concealed. A dark shadow from his past is coming for his men. Don’t worry the all of Robbie’s sassiness and Julien’s earthy sexiness are still present and the heat of the first two books in the series are still here. But Priest brings an element of suspense and badassery that raises the bar,

  • Man Buns by Shari J. Ryan

Man Buns is the perfect light, summer “pool day” book. I read it in one day at the beach and it had everything I was looking for. Hot ex-marine who adores his daughter. Funny, laugh out loud humor that kept the story fast paced and playful. Two characters that both wanted more out of life and just needed the other to help them live. Intrigued yet? This is a really sweet story that will keep a smile on your face and a flutter in your heart.

  • Beneath This Mask by Meghan March

This time it’s the good guy falling for the bad girl! Simon, the ex-pilot-future-politian falls immediately for Charlie, the tatted-up-badass-hiding-big-secrets. He pursues, she runs. She wants one night, he wants more. This goes on and on until she decides to stop running, then all hell breaks loose. The story takes a weird turn for a bit, but it’s definitely a good book for when you’re looking for something sweet to read on a lazy weekend.

  • Church by Stylo Fantome

Hollllllly hell! This book is so messed up. I went into this story thinking it was a darker romance because Stylo does them so well, but it is so much more than that. It is like American Horror Story meets Bonnie & Clyde. Church and Emma become an entity of their own, and the story grows to be this twisted, obsessive tale of how far you would go for the one you love. They are consumed with one another, and I get sucked into stories where you can feel the emotional connection radiating off the pages. Looking forward to the next phase of their story!

  • Coach Long by K Webster

If you have read K. Webster before you know exactly how taboo she can get and Coach Long is no exception. This goes beyond a teacher/student romance. River is 18 and Coach Long is 37, pushing the age difference to the extreme. I loved their instant physical attraction and I really enjoyed watching their hot, steamy journey together. K. Webster knows how to make you forget that their is even a taboo undertone because her writing is filled with passion and complexity. The character interaction is what made me love this story, and DAYUM was it hot!

  • Forbidden Bonds by Lexi C. Foss

The second book in Lexi C. Foss’s Immortal Curse series is even better than the first one! I cannot wait to keep reading and see what she has in store for these characters! Watching Amelia grow into such a strong, confident character, and seeing the way her relationship with Tom develops is nothing short of inspiring. Their chemistry is super hot, and we even get to see how things are progressing with Stas and Isaac! The suspense of what was going to happen next kept me on the edge of my seat, and the ending was a mind-fuck like I have never experienced before! You will not regret reading this one!!!

  • It Started with a Kiss by Melanie Moreland

This book is the perfect beach read for anyone who enjoys insta-lust stories with a sweet boy-next-door type hero, and a heroine that anyone who has ever felt “less than” will see themselves in. Just because the attraction is instant doesn’t mean that Avery and Daniel have things super easy, and they do face some conflicts. Rounded out by a fun group of supporting characters and some hot sex scenes, this is an awesome, light, summer read!!!

  • Life by M. Piper

I am beyond happy I stumbled across Life by M. Piper. It was one of the most beautiful, love filled stories I have ever read. Owen and Millie’s story is one that will stick with you for years to come. They started as high school sweethearts and their love for one another grows into something I cannot even put into words. Their relationship is the definition of soulmates and forever. The story gets pretty deep, circling around Millie falling sick and their family being put through struggles and hardships no one ever wants to face. Owen steals your heart and you won’t even put up a fight. Life will bring tears and laughter, but this emotional rollercoaster ride will captivate you til the last word.

  • Blood Laws by Lexi C. Foss

This was an amazing story, and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!!! It’s refreshing to read a book in a brand new paranormal world that has this many surprises in store. Isaac is a super hot, brooding, dirty talking, alpha-male book boyfriend, and Stas is a wonderfully strong and resilient heroine who is impossible not to love. The next book in this series highlights different characters, although Stas and Isaac’s story isn’t finished yet, and they will be in future books. I cannot wait to see what happens with all of them!!! Read this one today!

  • Hating You, Loving You by Crystal Kaswell

I have not read the other books in the Inked Hearts series, but took a chance on this standalone and I have to say, I enjoyed it. There is a lot of angst and emotions. Dean and Chloe have a very unique dynamic as he took her virginity many years ago and now have stumbled into each others lives once again. Both have obstacles they are working to overcome and as the story goes on they begin rekindling the magic that once brought them together before. I loved how funny and sexy Dean could be and Chloe was just a ball of fire! There are definitely some heavy moments in this book but it all ends well!

  • Someone Else’s Ocean by Kate Stewart

Yet another beautiful story by Kate Stewart! Two broken people, escaping reality in a magical place, drawn together, forced to feel, compelled to let go and heal by developing a love neither of them wanted but neither can deny. This book had all the angst, heartache, palatable chemistry, inspiration and kismet love that I live for reading romance. Not to mention, every time I read a story with ASL I feel inspired to learn it myself. A fantastic soul filled summer read!

  • Stitches by Sam Mariano

I love a sexy MFM ménage and Sam Mariano’s take on it is sensual, dirty and refreshingly innocent. It seems weird that I can describe this book as dirty yet innocent but that is exactly what it is. Innocent in terms of how the three-some relationship progresses. Dirty because once it is there, it is HOT! Each character is a key player and their dynamics grow as their relationships intertwine. Griff has a pure need for Moira and it exudes off the pages. Sebastian and Moira adore each other but Sebastian finds himself desiring more. I loved how this story explored so many different avenues of emotions while keeping the passion over the top. Super sexy read you will thoroughly enjoy!

  • Made in Portugal by Ana Newfolk

This book is like a vacation on your Kindle! The beautiful countryside of Portugal is a backdrop for this sexy, second chance at love story. Childhood sweethearts, David and Joel, are reunited after losing their parents. Their reunion is sweet, warm and intoxicating and after a slow build up the lovemaking is explosive. I finished this feeling like I had finally gone on the exotic vacation I have been waiting for.

  • Summer Heat by Rachel Van Dyken

What a fun and sexy read, this is sexual tension at it’s finest!!! Marlon and Ray’s chemistry is off the charts hot! I still can’t decide if I want them to be together or tear each other to shreds. This is the first book in the series so it was mostly setting the scene, and there’s a lot more to learn about Ray! And just when I thought they’d get their chance to be together… so glad I don’t have to wait too long for the next book in the series!

  • Wild Like the Wind by Kristen Ashley

I have read every Kristen Ashley book published, EVERY SINGLE ONE! That’s like almost 60 books if my count is correct, so to say I’m a fan is a gross understatement. If I could live in any authors head, she would be the one. That being said, I cried more reading this book than any other book of hers before. Maybe it’s because it’s a story about a single mom of 2 grown kids trying to rediscover living and loving wild and free again (hello mirror). Maybe it’s because her attention to the details of the raw emotion of life with these characters, their ups and downs, their highs and lows, their trapped and hopeless and their wild like the wind. Maybe it’s because in this story we FINALLY get some answers in the Chaos saga drama. Maybe I’m just PMSing and emotional, LOL! Whatever it is, this book… this book gave me ALL THE FEELS. All of them. It’s soared to top 5 KA books of all time for me, and I don’t say that lightly because I FLOVE so many of her stories. You need to read it, trust me.

  • Wicked Game by Erica Lynn

I recently discovered this author and I love her writing! Her characters are dynamic, her plots are refreshingly original and the chemistry is a perfect combination of emotional and intense. William and Kara were incredibly engaging to read about. She is a hardworking, independent female character and I adored her strength and determination with trying to keep her families lives from falling apart. She took no shit and I really believe that is what drew William to her. He cannot help the attraction he feels towards her and watching it all play out is sexy as all hell. There are some interesting issues that arise and it takes this story to a different level. I finished this book in one night, and I truly wish it had continued on because I want more!

  • Breaking Benjamin by Haylee Thorne & Michelle Windsor

This is a book about struggle and love. It explores the trials of being a wounded veteran and it really drives home the transition into every day life. Ben’s courage and sexiness oozes off the pages as you read. He had my sympathy and intrigue from the moment he entered the story and he was the driving force behind me loving this book so much, although, I will say Jill holds her own in this story. She is also dealing with inner issues and obstacles but she handles herself with grace, beauty and just a tad bit of sass! Their chemistry is undeniable and reading their story was addicting. I highly recommend this book.

  • Dr. Strange Beard by Penny Reid

So first of all, Penny Reid is freakishly smart…like next level brainpower people! That being said, to write a story like this, you not only need to be intellectually bright, but you need to have an exceptionally high EQ (emotional intelligence) as well. Writing mixed race romance is rarely done well and even more rarely done with the social and cultural awareness and sensitivity demonstrated in this story. I applaud Penny for taking the time and care to make sure it was done right. So second of all, Penny’s stories of MFing funny! Her characters are quirky, witty, smart, endearing and downright lovable. Thirdly, from someone with an above average memory, I related to the the emotion of our dear Roscoe Winston and his ongoing struggle to compartmentalize his life as to not have to relive the pain of his past over and over. This book had it all, angst, adventure, history, love and it packed so much more heat than the others in this series…like seriously, phone sex scene… hachacha #onehandedreading ya’ll!!! If you’re a Penny Reid fan, this is a must read…if you’re not yet, get on that ASAP! Your brain will thank you, I promise.

  • Smoldering Ruby by Bebe Harlow & Tressa Rabbit

Want a look into a deeply twisted, hardcore world of kink? Stop what you are doing and download this book immediately! I crave the next best dark read and this one really blew me away. Nate & Ruby have such an intense relationship and dynamic. He is her Master and the only way they really function is by feeding off of one another’s filthy wants and needs. There are some disturbing situations so if out of the box BDSM is not your thing, keep walking. The authors did an amazing job combining emotions and delivering a surprisingly complex tale and the end had my head spinning. A carnal take on the Dom/sub dynamic and how overwhelmingly intoxicating it can be.

  • The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely

Have I told you yet that RomCom is my summer jam? Well it is and Lauren Blakely just so happens to be the queen of RomCom! Her books NEVER disappoint when you’re looking for something witty, light hearted, full of heat with guaranteed laugh out loud moments. But this one…this one is special. I wasn’t really expecting it to be as deep and meaningful as it was. It had just enough angst and conflict (also my jam) to take it to the next level. The chemistry between these characters is palatable and this story had me caught up in my feelings but still managed to have me cracking up while turning pages hungry for more. Unputdownable you guys!

  • Envy by Rachel Van Dyken

Eagle Elite is one of my favorite series. Hands down. There are a lot of books in the series and you definitely have to start at the beginning to keep up with this crazy mafia family tree. One of the things that I LOVE about the 1001 Dark Nights novellas is that you can get a glimpse into an established series even if you haven’t read the other books. Envy gives you that glimpse inside of the family as the Assassin falls for the Nanny. But in true Eagle Elite style, not everything or everyone is what they seem. Envy is a little scary, pretty hilarious and A LOT sexy. You’ll fall instantly in love with these dark, broken, scary men and the sassy, badass women who love them. #BloodInNoOut

  • Vespertine by Leta Blake and Indra Vaughn

Where has this story been hiding?! I wasn’t sure a priest and addicted rock star love story would work well. But I was wrong! Instead of focusing on the taboo aspects of their relationship the focus is on healing from past events. I found myself alternating between swooning from the romance to tearing up at the emotion. I am adding this book to my personal top ten list!

  • The Dark Web by C.A. Bell

The Dark Web was probably one of the most messed up books I have read in a while. The book is truly a mindf*ck until the very last word. Brian & Megan come from two totally different trouble worlds, but they collide on the internet. She is trying to regain a life and he is trying to end his. Both are suffering pain and both are looking for a way out but what a story that unfolds. Very taboo topics mixed in and this is definitely not a feel good story with a HEA. The suspense builds and the ending caught me by complete surprise, which I loved. The Dark Web is exactly what it sounds like and I enjoyed every second of the twisted story.
