I have been begging for this story ever since we got a glimpse of Raj and Nayna in the previous book (which you don’t need to read before this.) I loved that Raj was exactly what Nayna was looking for and he knew that he wanted Nayna. He had a fight on his hands but made a plan to win her over and actually listened to what she wanted for her future. He didn’t try to make her change her plans, he was supportive the whole time they dated. He will make you swoon so hard. When Nayna began to realize what Raj was doing by working his way into her life, it was both hilarious and heartwarming watching her fight the attraction. Once she gave in, I loved what a united front they were against their meddling families. I loved how low drama the story was, Nayna and Raj both knew when the villain of the story was trying to ruin the HEA and they fought for each other. Also, I loved how Nalini wove in the Indian culture to this story, and if you’ve ever seen a Bollywood film or scene, you’ll be laughing at some of the scenes in this story.

Before the Lie by K. D. Robichaux
I started reading Before the Lie and was completely hooked. I just had to see how the story ended, so I continued on to Truth Revealed. This recommendation covers both books, as you just cannot stop after the first one! Truth Revealed is a second chance romance about Vivian and Corbin, with some super hot BDSM moments. Before the Lie tells the story of their first chance at love, with some really sweet scenes between the shy Vi (who could have been me in high school, so I totally related to her) and Corbin, the hot, tattooed military man who sweeps her off her feet. Both stories hooked me completely, and I fell in love with Corbin and Vi! You need to read this one ASAP!

The Good Samaritan by RC Boldt
Faith and Jude gave me all the feels with their romance. Normally I’m not a big fan of the heroine as a reporter because they can be written as too zealous for the story, but RC wrote Faith perfectly. She was loved by everyone and didn’t break the rules to get her stories. Her and Jude fit well together. Even though Jude had demons he was fighting, he was portrayed as a good man who helped others and loved deeply. This book makes you think about your life and how your interactions with friends, family, and strangers can affect anyone. It will make you smile and sigh at Faith and Jude’s romance, even with a big hurdle between them. I hope we get a story about a certain Texas cousin in the future because he brought a lightness to the story at the perfect time.

Worth Every Risk by Terri E. Laine and A. M. Hargrove
Worth Every Risk is a wonderful second chance romance story that I completely enjoyed! There is a part of the plot with scenes that are difficult to read, but they are heartwarming as much as they are tear jerking. And watching Chase and Andi fall in love again after working through their misunderstandings was a terrific ride. I loved Chase’s concern as much as his dirty talking, sexy side, and Andi’s desire to be completely independent tugged heartstrings as well, even if it also made me want to strangle her occasionally. The supporting characters made up the fun, family atmosphere that was the icing on the cake. This one needs to be on your to-be-read list right now!!!

Possessive Prince by Flora Ferrari
Flora Ferrari covers so much in such a short story! Lily and Leo have a whirlwind romance and it is full of built up anticipation and infatuation. Lily is visiting Spain after the loss of her Mother and is thrown into Leo’s path unexpectedly! He is instantly drawn to her and their connection begins. He fulfills in her ways she has never been satisfied and his possessiveness over her is one of my favorite things about the story! I love that Flora delivers a full, hot picture in a novella. I did not feel like anything was left out, I just wish there was more!

The Truth About Us by Aly Martinez
The angst and drama is strong with this one! I was waiting on pins and needles to see what would happen after the cliffhanger of book one, and Aly Martinez did not disappoint! Lies and truths are exposed, new alliances were formed…and the epilogue…GAH! This duet is definitely one you need to add to the top of your TBR. Brilliant!

Flirting with Fire by Piper Rayne
Piper Rayne knows how to write a good, light-on-the-angst- rom-com. Madison has loved Mauro since high school, and he gives her a glimpse into what a great family life would be like with him. I enjoyed how much his brothers wanted to protect her from him if he wasn’t willing to commit to a relationship with her. Madison didn’t think she could ever catch the hunky Italian fireman, but her friends build up her confidence and help her overcome her fears of losing him.

No Tomorrow by Carian Cole
Carian Cole knows how to write a tortured hero, and Evan was a heartbreakingly perfect character who has to fight his inner demons before he can finally commit to the love of his life. Piper has her heart stomped on and she knows that she will always love Evan, and never wavers in her love. She cannot imagine her life without Evan, even as he fights his depression and drug use, but she also tries to take care of him in any way she can. It’s sad and angsty watching them through the years trying to reach their HEA, but I loved every word. My heart was ripped out right along Piper’s, but it was repaired by the end. This is one of Carian’s longest books, a whopping 65 chapters to break you, uplift you, make you cry, but also sympathize with both characters as they navigate the years together and apart.

Rough Rider by Madison Faye
This book is the third in the Sugar County Boys series by Madison Faye and my, oh my, it is filthy! It goes beyond the dirty, lust filled sex we are use to from Madison. I am talking about raw, gritty, “I need you so bad I cannot wait til we get home so lets just f*ck in the parking lot” filth! AND IT IS SO GOOD! Shepherd and Chastity have an instant connection in the bar and it just spins off into a sexy, world of chaos and passion. Be ready for the heat in this one!

Intercepted by Alexa Martin
For a debut author, Alexa Martin hit it through the uprights… gotta add that football reference. Her writing was funny and engaging, it had me turning the pages. And this was no short romance, you get a packed 41 chapters that show Marlee’s growth from girlfriend to an independent woman and then finding her HEA. The female characters were the right mix of sweet and sassy and I loved their friendships. Gavin was so sweet and I loved how he thought Marlee was the most beautiful woman ever and wanted to take care of her, even when he tried to let her fight her own battles. There was great humor whenever Marlee was with her girlfriends, family and especially when she was sticking up for herself around the “mean girls.”

Lightning Boy by Amy J. Heart
I stumbled upon this book and was super intrigued once I read the synopsis. I quickly blew through A Boy Called L and then dove right into Lightning Boy. Wow! What a crazy tale. L has had a traumatic, hard life. He has fought to survive and live and his struggle is a dark, twisted one. Eden plays a huge role in supporting his journey and while I enjoyed her character, L stands on a pedestal of his own. Their chemistry radiates off the pages and they have intense, wild sex. Their passion is consuming at times but I thought it fit into the story well. The book tells a lot about survival and owning who you are. A darker, emotional read to the very end.

Forever Theirs by Katee Robert
Katee Robert perfectly blends 2 hot alpha men, a strong woman who knows what she wants, and a plot that has you guessing. I loved all 3 characters, they were so unique and challenging to each other. Watching them fall in love with the idea of the 3 of them together and also trying to stay alive made me antsy and turning the pages faster and faster. Meg was no wilting flower, she stuck up for herself, she didn’t want to be coddled and wanted to know all of Theo and Galen’s secrets. Galen was the hardest to fall as his sole purpose in life was to keep Theo alive, and now he had to not only fight his feelings for Meg, but had to work her into his plans to keep them all safe. Theo was a man on a mission, and that included keeping Meg and Galen in his arms, getting his country back and protecting everyone and everything he loved there. And Katee wrote some of the hottest M/M and M/M/F scenes I’ve read in a really long time, you will not be disappointed with this story.

Killing Mary Jane by Amarie Avant & Nicole Dunlap
What a crazy ride this book is! The entire time my head was spinning trying to figure out who was good and who was bad. I love books that keep me guessing til the very end and Killing Mary Jane is one of those. The three characters Mary Jane, Wulf and Jake are twisted together in a very sick, disturbing way. The story is a dark one, lots of triggers (rape, abuse, kidnapping) and lots of really messed up imagery. It is a deeply tangled tale of control and lust. You have to go into this blind, just know that what you are about to read is not for the faint of heart.

Stolen Nights by Renee Harless
I love Renee Harless’s style of writing. She gets her readers to the good stuff with just the right amount of torture, stopping short of dragging things out. Elle and Jackson’s story has a wonderful mix of chemistry, tension, and conflict. Her supporting characters are a lot of fun, and the situations the characters find themselves in are easy to relate to. This book is a perfect mood lifting story that will make you believe in love happening when it is least expected.

Summer Seduction by Rachel Van Dyken
Hate turns to lust turns to love and back to hate in the continuation of Ray and Marlo’s story. The sexual tension is still off the charts with these two. The angst and the emotion and the banter and the shenanigans will keep you glued from start to finish. Those who were ever summer camp counselors will love this story. It’s Camp Rock meets Dirty Dancing and it’s fantastic. And in pure Rachel Van Dyken fashion, we’re left on the edge of seats wondering what the hell just happened and what will happen next!!!

Mess Me Up by Lani Lynn Vale
Let me tell you, the title is very apt. This book messed me up, had me wiping my eyes several times, and it was fairly low on the relationship angst. It was everything else that Rome and Izzy went through that hit my heart. I still have a hangover from it, and it’s probably one of Lani Lynn Vale’s best books I’ve read so far. She introduces more great characters that I’m excited to read about in future books, but Rome and Izzy are the perfect couple to start this new series. I loved their letters they wrote to each other, both seeking connections and finding them amongst words first, then in person when they meet because of Rome’s son. There was some suspense thrown in and family drama, but Lani loves to give her readers some great men that back their friends and women when the going gets tough.

Kiss the Girl by Tara Sivec
Goat yoga. That magnificent epilogue. A sarcastic, ball-threatening heroine and the man who’s loved her since the first insult. It’s also a slow-burn romance while the girl gets her groove back, a hot millionaire with a smirk to die for, fish tanks and antique hoarding… these are a few of my favorite things (now you’re singing it) that I loved about this book. Actually, the whole trilogy is great but Ariel and Eric’s romance was the perfect ending. I’ve never closed a book after both laughing and feeling like the author was writing her words of wisdom for me, not the heroine. Tara Sivec wrote such an amazing book, that I had a silly smile on my face after reaching 100% complete and I can’t wait to reread them all.

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren
First of all let me say that this might be my favorite Christina Lauren story… I abso-freakin-lutely LOVED this book!!! Hazel is a nut, I want to be her BFF so bad. And good LAWD, Josh is the BEST Asian book boyfriend that I’ve ever read! As an Asian American, this kind of representation in a genre and community that rarely writes stories that include people of color like me or mixed race relationships, a book like this means a lot to me on a personal level. Christina & Lauren NAILED his character. He was broody, sexy, intelligent, respectful and just basically all around swoon worthy! I might have peed myself a little in the scene where Hazel’s ring tone of Khai’s “My Neck, My Back” started playing… LOL, DEAD! This story is not only smokin hot, sweet and funny but for those of us with dating woes, it’s 100% relatable, Go. Run. Click. Now. You need this book in your life.

Breathless by W. Winters
I could not wait to read the next installment of Carter and Aria’s story. Just as the books before it in this series, it twists and turns into a captivating tale that has you completely mesmerized as it unfolds. Their romance can almost be considered forbidden but neither can deny that it is meant to be. The obstacles that are thrown at them in Breathless are relentless and exasperating. My heart ached for Aria and this book deals its fair share of angst and pain her way. Carter has a soft spot in my heart. He is a fighter, but the inward struggle he fights with is painful at times to read. I want him to be the great man Aria needs him to be and I hope we get closure to everything in the next book. I hate being left with it all swirling around in my brain! Willow Winters, you are a genius. An evil, wicked – please don’t stop writing EVER – genius!

Yard Sale by Charleigh Rose
Loved this sexy novella! Cam & Mollie’s story is super cute and pretty hot! Both looking for a good time, the book follows them stumbling into each other one day and the story that unfolds is an addicting one. Cam is sweet and knows all the right words to say. I loved how playful he was with Mollie. His charisma really sold the relationship to me. This is a quick read with just the right amount of wild sex and amazing chemistry. I hope to read more of their story one day!

Hitman Wedding by Eve Langlais
Eve really turns the whole “scorned lover” trope on its head with this book and I loved it! Action, suspense, twists, witty dialogue, a second chance at love for a spy and their love/hate interactions were hilarious. It was funny seeing the guy getting his panties all twisted when the woman he loved turns out to be a spy and not the soft-spoken model he fell in love with, and then watching him fall in love with the real Francesca, realizing he likes the real version so much better. But of course, he can’t give in to her again! And Francesca must not fall for Darren’s pretty face because her mission to protect him is more important than stroking his male ego . . . and other male things. I think this is my favorite of the series so far, except I said that after every one of the books. Eve’s characters are so unique and surprising, you never expect their reactions or some of the things they say.

Starmaker by Paige Quinn
This is a super cute rock star romance following two contestants on a TV show who could not be more different. Aria is a singer and Jay is a musician and though they start as friends competing against one another, things turn romantic when they realize there is a lot more connecting them then just their love of music. The book definitely reads like you are watching a reality TV show which was enjoyable and the banter between the characters was funny and at times filled with sexual tension. Starmaker gives you all kinds of emotions, steamy foreplay and sex, and two characters you will be rooting for til the end!

Hold You Close by Melanie Harlow & Corinne Michaels
All the angsty feels, enemy to lovers, second chance brilliance! I wasn’t expecting this book to be so honestly emotional. They all stole my heart…the kids, the hero, the heroine…they were all so preciously broken. This duo wrote this beautiful story so seamlessly, I hope they honor us with more words together in the near future. A definite tear-jerker!

Governor by Lesli Richardson
Lesli Richardson certainly knows how to write HOT threesomes! Governor blew me away with the story of how Carter, Owen and Susa meet, enter their unconventional relationship, and end up getting Owen into the Governor’s office. The characters are wonderfully developed, and the sexy times are SUPER HOT! There is a lot of back story and talk about the politics involved in their situation as well, but it was well written, fascinating, and important to the story. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a story with a bit of depth to it, and I cannot wait for the second book in the series to come out!
-
Swallow Me Whole by Gemma James
This was a quick, hot read following Sadie and Ashton who have been childhood friends that have never crossed any lines. Their bond is undeniable and probably my favorite take away from this story. I love when a connection between two characters seems real and relate able. There is a lot of sexual tension and hot as hell scenes which I enjoyed, but I wish there had been a bit more depth into their relationship. I loved the moments when it showed how into each other they were and it always left me wanting just a little more. Funny, sweet and very hot!
-
Dagger’s Edge by Lora Leigh
The next addition in this series was just as good as book 1, Lora Leigh throws some twists I didn’t see coming. And her bedroom scenes are always super hot, and this time we get an older man and a young woman who’s 15 years his junior. He knows exactly what he wants, and he’s been looking for Syn for years. Lora explains their history in great detail so you aren’t lost, and then once Ivan and Syn finally become a couple, they are perfect. Throw in the Russian mafia, former soldiers, and government agents all trying to undermine this romance, and you have one interesting suspense story with hot sex on the side.
-
Elder Bonds by Lexi C. Foss
If you are not reading this series, you need to start. Today, right now. This is the fourth book in the series, and I didn’t want it to end. Lexi masterfully answered a whole lot of questions by filling in a ton of backstory from the first three books, while simultaneously introducing a whole new bunch of questions to keep the readers guessing. Her world is so immersive, so complete, and so engrossing that it is sticking with me even when I finish one of her books. Finally, the cherry on top of this sundae of awesome-sauce is that this book has SO MUCH SEX!!! If you like complex worlds with sexy immortals, war, and mysteries, you will not regret reading this series!

I Dare You by Shantel Tessier
You don’t normally find a YA book that jumps into the darker end of the romance pool but I Dare You held its own for the most part. Austin and Cole had super intense moments together and at certain points I forgot I was reading about teenagers! Even though she was the new kid on the block, Austin held her own against Cole and his crew and reading her feisty banter and sass kept putting a smile on my face. That girl kicks ass! Cole did not know what hit him when she came into town. I love the cat and mouse chase between them and how the tension builds and builds and builds. I wished the ending was a bit more drawn out but overall, an explosive tale about young, obsessive passion and the craziness it creates for anyone it its path.
-
Pitch Dark by Alex Grayson and A.M. Wilson
Let me start off by saying that this is not your typical romance novel. The suspenseful plot in this book far outweighs the sexy times, and there are some very dark scenes that happen. However, if that is the kind of thing you are looking for, I would highly recommend this book to you. Pitch Dark has a lot of suspense, numerous twist and turns, and plot twists that made me gasp out loud. Niko and Doe’s story will play all of your heartstrings in the best possible way. I highly recommend this one!!!

Reckoning by Jessica Ruben
I am still blown away by this series by #Shameless18 author, Jessica Ruben. The first book in the series, Rising, left my head spinning and I could not wait to dive into book 2. Reckoning follows Vincent and Eve learning one another as a couple, and focusing on the chemistry between them. A lot is told from Vincent’s point of view which was a fresh take that I highly enjoyed. There are still so many struggles through out the book that they face between his family, his inner issues and how the world keeps trying to keep him apart from Eve. But dear god, when that man is in love, NOTHING can hold him back! The writing draws you in page by page and I absolutely did not want this book to end. Eagerly looking forward to Book 3!
