  • Reunions By Tymber Dalton

Tymber Dalton has done it again with this one. Nevvie, Tyler and Thomas take the family on a road trip in a giant RV. Along the way, there are hysterical, laugh-out-loud-and-scare-the-dogs mishaps, dramatic moments, family issues, and a lot of love (and sex, of course). These characters have become very real to me over the course of this series, and the things that happen to them are so easy to imagine. The story flies right by and becomes impossible to put down. And the chemistry between the main three is so hot, and somehow still fresh, even in book 3.5. I cannot recommend this series enough! ~Jean [April, 2018]

  • Nobody’s Prince Charming by Aimee Nicole Walker

This book is an awsome blend of sweet and hot! At the start of this story Wren and Dare are circling each other and finally decide to let the barriers drop. The angst level is refreshingly low. For the days when you just want hot sex, genuine romance, and a HEA this is the book you need to reach for!

  • Deception by D.B. Reynolds

I love Cynthia and Raphael as a couple, especially when the big, bad, alpha vampire has to be saved by his bad-ass human lover. We get more insight into some of our favorite characters in this series, more world building as the European vampires try to make their play against the most powerful vampire in North America, and also see the love and trust between Cyn and Raphael expand even further. DB gives us plenty of steamy scenes between the two, woven expertly amongst the suspense and action. This series has not disappointed me once and I’m excited about the next books, plus the spinoff series about magic.

  • Mad Love by Aiden Forbes & Gage Grayson

What a manipulative little tale this turned out to be! I was pleasantly overwhelmed with this book. So many emotions and twists, your head will be spinning. Alison & Jaxon ‘s story is a thrilling look into the mind of a psychopath and the joy he gets toying with his victim. The book opens with a powerful punch so if you tend to be a bit squeamish, this is your warning. Being a big fan of suspense and tension, I thoroughly enjoyed the way Alison struggled with remaining professional while dealing with her feelings for a madman. It is a complicated love affair, full of lust and violence and the fact that she is a virgin makes it incredibly hot.

  • Night with a SEAL by Cat Johnson

If you have been reading my recs lately, you know that I am on a quest to read as many new to me authors who are attending Shameless18 as I can. It seems like Cat Johnson is trying to derail my quest, though, because after reading this book I am ready to read everything else she has ever written RIGHT NOW. There is so much heat in this book that it left me shattered! It’s a fast read, and it was so enticing that it left me wanting more of Ali and Jon’s story. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series, and see how things pan out for Jon, and all of his hot SEAL and ex-SEAL friends! ~Jean [April 2018]

  • Rebel Heir by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

So there I was, reading this fun, yet kinda predictable good-girl-falls-for-the-bad-boy romance. Then BAM! The story takes a crazy turn and I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next! As usual, Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward weave a fun, sexy and romantic story with characters you can’t help but love. The connection between Rush and Gia is exactly what romance is all about! Rebel Heir ends on a cliffy, but we don’t have to wait long for the conclusion to Rush and Gia’s love story.

  • Damage Control by Lynn Van Dorn

What do you do if you are a rising young star and someone releases a sex tape featuring you?! If you are Tyler Chadwick you hire your older brother’s ex secret boyfriend to be your pretend boyfriend! Watching Tyler and Josh work through their issues is by turns intensely hot and heart breaking. This is one of the best friends to lovers stories I have read in a long time!

  • Alexandria by Angera Allen

I am continuing my quest to read new-to-me authors who will be attending Shameless Book Con in 2018, #Shameless18, and Angera Allen was my most recent choice. She did not disappoint. This book has something for everyone! The chemistry and instant lust (not to mention the dirty talk) between Maddox and Alexandria is off-the-charts hot, the music is a lot of fun, and the suspenseful part of the story kept me guessing throughout the book. The story of Alexandria’s past is difficult to read, but her strength in overcoming it is beautiful to watch. I am looking forward to reading more by Angera in the future! ~Jean [April, 2018]

  • Transcend by Jewel E Ann

WOW… just wow! You know the kind of books that draw you in from the first few pages and then builds and builds, till you’re on the edge of your seat turning pages as fast as you can because you are so invested in the story and characters that you have no idea how it’s all going to play out?!? Yep, this is one of those. Be prepared to swoon, to laugh, to cry, to empathize, to question and to feel your heart race as this beautifully unique and suspenseful story unfolds. The bad news is that it ends in a cliffy. The good news is the sequel of this duet releases soon and you know my recommendation for that one is not far behind!

  • Triple Threat by Daphne Dawn & Liz K. Lorde

I went into this wanting a MFMM sex fest and instead I got all of that PLUS romance, suspense and drama! Sophia, Marco, Franco, and Antonio bring the heat and reading the story from each of their POV’s kept it interesting. I loved that Sophia was always their focus and priority. I mean, THREE men putting a woman’s need first… What’s hotter?? Throw in the fact that all these guys are brothers and the story walks the taboo tightrope just a tad, which I loved. This is my first book by Daphne Dawn & Liz K. Lorde and I was pleasantly surprised… and turned on!

  • Kiss Me Like You Mean It by J. R. Rogue

This was a very brave book, tackling tough, real life experiences and encounters. I cannot believe this is based on a true story. My heart completely shattered at certain parts, not wanting to fully grasp the events I was reading. J.R. created a main character that was relate able and intriguing. Gwen is as real as they come. You feel her heartache and sadness through the words you’re reading. You feel her torment & pain. At times I did not know how this story was going to end, or if I wanted it to end for that matter. Gwen and Connor fight numerous battles throughout this book, personally and together. I flipped each page hoping that she was going to end up with Connor and the twist towards the end definitely got me! Such an emotional read, in every way possible.

  • Kinda Don’t Care by Lani Lynn Vale

Lani Lynn Vale always creates some great characters and this spinoff of her Freebirds series is no different. We get the daughter of the final couple in her Freebirds series, but you don’t need to know those stories to enjoy this one. If you have read them, it’s great seeing all the old couples. Rafe fights his attraction to Janie for years, thinking he’s never going to be good enough for her and that she’s too young for him. Janie fights for him and turns his ideas of them never being together on his head, but then this couple is put through the wringer. Janie and Rafe are perfect together, though, and you will enjoy their wild ride filled with suspense, hot sex, and some obstacles along the way.

  • Family Matters by Tymber Dalton

Thomas, Tyler and Nevvie’s story continues in this book, the second full book in the series. There are some heart breaking moments in this part of their story, but the three of them have so much love (and passion) for each other, you just hang on through the ups and downs. I am so in love with these characters that I feel like I am laughing, crying (and sometimes moaning) right along with them. Start this series today, because you will love it! [April 2018]

  • Rock Chick Reborn by Kristen Ashley

What a wonderful closing of a chapter for the Rock Chicks and Hot Bunch, and the start of good things to come (you’ll know what I mean after the Epilogue.) We got to see ALL of the girls and guys, and I found it funny that it was the Hot Bunch who were doing the matchmaking this time around. But we all know how much they love Shirleen and have wanted her to find her HEA since they all did. I also loved seeing Shirleen’s two boys, Roam and Sniff, and how much they’ve grown in the 3 years since coming to her home. She definitely raised strong, future alpha men who wanted to protect their “mom.” I may have teared up during a few scenes, but they were happy tears.

I’ve been DYING for Shirleen’s love story. She was such a big part of all of the Rock Chick-Hot Bunch love stories, she really deserved her own happy ending. Moses was the perfect combination of alpha and sweet, and the perfect man to kill Shirleen’s demons. It was so great to catch up with the gang and Shirleen’s boys and I CAN NOT WAIT to see what’s yet to come with them. Rock on!

  • Redd by Leah Holt

This story has everything I look for in an entertaining read. There is drama, twists, angst and love. Fair warning, it is an insta-love so if that isn’t your thing, you may be turned off and I will not that there are some dark moments like abuse BUT, I will say, Leah spins quite a web here so do not miss out. Redd is a deeply twisted character but so charismatic and brooding. Even though you want to hate him. you can’t help but fall in love. I LOVE how he plays off of Bijou’s character. They are so different, yet compliment each other so well like dark & light. You cannot have one without the other, as contrasting as they are. This story is filled to the brim with hurt and pain but there is quite a bit of humor and passion as well. Overall, I really enjoyed what Leah brought to life in this book.

  • The Prophecy by Jennifer Armentrout

This one broke me a little bit. It’s the fourth and final book in the Titans series, and I am so sad to see this story end. I was laughing, crying, screaming, (sometimes more than one at the same time) and simply living in this book. Jen Armentrout’s worlds are so engrossing, her characters so realistic, and her stories so intriguing, that they suck you in and refuse to let go. When I first “met” Seth in Jen’s Covenant series, I didn’t like him. But the way his character developed and grew throughout this series made me add him without hesitation to my book boyfriend list. Grab this series and read it today, and you will not be disappointed!!!

  • Hothead by Stella Rhys

You will love Evie and Drew, their romance is combustible. I think my Kindle may have melted a little with the heat. I will admit, I wasn’t sure I’d like Drew because he was kind of a dick to his best friend, and then again to Evie when he first met her. But once Evie and Drew started faking their relationship, he gave in to their chemistry and boy was that fun. I was excited for Drew to win over Evie and make her forget all about her ex. I loved how Stella wrote great backstories for both of them, that showcased what made Drew jaded and Evie believe in love. There were plenty of light-hearted moments to break up the stress of them falling in love, and they were perfectly interwoven with the hot bedroom antics.

  • Hush by Tal Bauer

This story has it all! The heart melting love story of long closeted Federal Judge Tom Brewer and Mike Lucciano, the US Marshall assigned to protect him. Set against the back drop of a devastating terrorist attack and resulting trial, the story swings between heart pounding and heart melting. This is one that will grab you and won’t let you go until the end.

  • Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan

I am officially shook. I’m not really sure what I was expecting with this book, but what I got was turned upside down and inside out, then spun around a few times. This is a story of fated love… the I’ve known you my whole life, my soul is at peace when you are near, 2 pieces of a puzzle, zsa zsa zsu off the charts connection… and the destruction that can happen when you ignore it and take the wrong path. This is not your typical sports romance, or maybe it’s more realistic than most would like to admit. It’s definitely not for the faint at heart, we’re talking HEAVY, with more triggers than I wanted to count but HOLY SHOT (pun intended) I was gripping my sheets at 3am hell bent on finishing it. FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC book!

  • Say You’ll Be Mine by Maria Luis

If you haven’t read Maria Luis Author, yet, I highly recommend this one.  This sexy 2nd chance romance had the perfect mix of hotness, slow burn, and funny side characters.  It also had meddling families and a little mystery suspense. Though there was plenty of heat building from the beginning, I liked that they didn’t just fall back into bed like the heartbreak never happened.  Shaelynn and Brady had to learn to trust each other again and see if they were willing to fit into each other’s lives. I can’t wait to read about the other couples.

  • Recovered by Jay Crownover

I really enjoy Jay Crownover’s writing so I could not wait to read this story.  Recovered was filled with emotions, and I mean ugly crying emotions. The plot was intense and there are super highs and the lowest of the lows. Jay did an amazing job developing Cable and Affton’s character. You fall in love with them and their individual stories. Affton wants so badly to save Cable, but Cable’s demons are strong and reckless. This book tackles addiction and the hurt and struggle that comes with it so have the tissues ready for this powerful read!

  • Adios Pantelones by J. Sterling

Independent, standoff-ish and skeptical single mom meets bartending, hopeless romantic, smitten and determined heartthrob…YES PLEASE! I’m a huge fan of realistic romance. This book is not just relatable, it speaks to the struggles that many of us face in the dating game such as insecurities, worries, doubts, preconceived judgement, self-preservation defensive mechanisms, trust issues, etc. Ryan and Sofia’s chemistry was palatable and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it wasn’t just physical, we’re talking a real heart connection here. Throw in a little soap opera worthy conflict and drama and well, what you get is a heartfelt, what’s meant to be will be love story.

  • Midnight Mass by Sierra Simone

If you’ve missed Father Tyler and Poppy, fear not! In Midnight Mass we get a glimpse of what happens next. What happens when life as a couple starts, the excitement and the newness wears off and real life seeps in. It’s hot, it’s exciting, it’s REAL. The perfect continuation for Tyler and Poppy.

  • Confessions: Robbie by Ella Frank

A Priest, a Prick and a Princesse walk into a book and burn it down! Robbie may have started as a supporting character in Ella Frank’s Temptation series but he is now center stage where he belongs! Confessions: Robbie is the start of his courtship with Joel “Priest” Priestley and Julien “The Prick” Thornton and it is hot! I loved watching Robbie sass his way into their lives and claim his place as their Princesse. The second installment of this trilogy is due in May and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for more.

  • The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon

Man can Amy Harmon write or what?!?! I swear, sometimes I think she hates her characters with the shit storm lives she hands them! The Smallest Part is yet another one of Amy’s magical, spiritual, emotionally intense, thought provoking, suspenseful and beautifully written novels. If you’re looking for an emotional ride, this story pushes the boundaries of morality and reality and deeply speaks to the heart of human connection. Not only was it a heart jerker, but this book has so much depth culturally and socially, it hit me in the feels on so many levels. An unputdownable, simply sensational 5 star read, no doubt!

  • Love Me Whole by Nicky James

This book is mind-blowing! It is rare to read a book featuring a main character with a mental illness that isn’t a victim. Watching Vaughn fall in love with Oryn and his five alter egos was mesmerizing. There will be times when you feel like your heart is going to break but push through! The story is amazing and well worth the one-click.

  • His Big Mountain Axe by Madison Faye

Axe and Larkin give us quite a show in this book! Every page is filled with raw sex, alpha dominance and dirty talk. I love Madison Faye because she packs so much into her novellas. There is action as soon as the story starts and with the action comes violence and lust and hot MC men! God, sex on a bike is one of my ultimate fantasies!! If you are in the mood for a fast paced read that “gets the job done” – wink wink – this story will do the trick!

  • Love Slave for Two by Tymber Dalton

I fell in love with Tommy and Tyler when I read their story in the prequel to this series, Love Slave for Two: Beginnings. Watching them woo Nevvie into their family was one of the most erotic, romantic, and loving processes I have ever witnessed (well, read about). These characters are so well developed, both with the qualities that made me fall in love with them, and the qualities that made me want to drop-kick them, that I just couldn’t put this book down. I cannot wait to start the next book and watch the rest of their story unfold!

  • The Struggle by Jennifer Armentrout

The Struggle is the third book in the Titan series by Jennifer Armentrout. I found myself, once again, unable to put the book down. The characters are like old college friends. The story grabs hold of you and refuses to let go. And the love that is progressing between Seth and Josie is breath-taking. Their road is still full of obstacles, and they still have the world to save, but watching them together makes me warm and fuzzy inside. This is definitely a not-to-be-missed series.

  • Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey

Getaway Girl is a fantastically sweet and downright dirty friends-to-lovers story. I’m in love with this book. Every. Single. Word. It’s funny, witty, romantic and sexy. Addison and Elijah have fantastic chemistry and hilarious banter. I love that he’s sensitive and self-conscious about his bubble butt (and the fact that his butt has a twitter page) and I love that Addison is real, flawed and not the “normal” southern belle Elijah and his family is used to. I’ve never rooted for two characters to be together more. Charleston is the perfect backdrop for this story, it’s southern charm and beauty shine through. Well done, Tessa! This is, by far, my favorite book from you.
