  • Torn by TN King

Mason and Nicole stole my heart in this gut wrenching story by TN King. I’ll admit, this is my first book by this Author and after reading the blurb, the dark plot set my hopes very high but it did not disappoint. I LOVED this story. TN does an amazing job at creating a very twisted world that toys with your mind and emotions.  I hated Aaron. Seriously loathed him, but to me, that means the author did their job because I was deeply invested in the way he treated Nicole and Mason’s reaction to it. There are quite a few taboo aspects like Mason’s obsession towards his stepsister as well as emotional and physical abuse so fair warning if those are turn offs. If not, you are in for a wildly, emotional ride!

  • The Power by Jennifer L Armentrout

Jennifer Armentrout has done it again in the second book of the Titan series. Watching the story of Seth and Josie unfold is like speeding down a bumpy road full of potholes. I laughed out loud, I cried, and I held on for dear life as I went on that ride with them. Jen brings all of her characters to life with a finesse that makes me love them more and more as the pages turn. And the sexy times are oh, so sexy. Start this series today, and you won’t be disappointed!!!

  • 4 Men of the House by Natalie Knight & Daphne Dawn

What is better than four, hot alpha males fighting for your attention? Correct, absolutely nothing! Ian, Evan, Paul and Matt become fascinated with Meg the moment she begins working (undercover) as a maid. The story follows her encounters with each and how she begins to slowly let herself be consumed by them. The sex scenes are insanely hot and I loved the sexual tension that builds in scenes like secret “kissing in the corner” moments all throughout the story. Just when you think the plot can’t surprise you, it does. Super hot and dirty, just how I like it!

  • The Return by Jennifer Armentrout

Anyone who has read my recs before knows how much I LOVE Jennifer Armentrout, and The Return does not disappoint. This book kicks off a sequel series to her Covenant series, but it also stands alone, and you can read it without having read the Covenant books. Seth and Josie are characters who I feel like I would have hung out with in college, even if they are descended from Greek Gods. Josie’s strength of character as her world turns upside down is admirable, and Seth’s fluctuation between cockiness and self-loathing makes me want to give him a huge hug. This is a great start to what is sure to be a great series!!!

  • One Last Time by Corinne Michaels

Loved this story! It is full of hope and passion and it really makes you think about the choices you make and the life you lead. All it takes is one night, one encounter, one kiss to change our lives. Kristin is fresh off a divorce and beginning a new journey in her life when her path crosses with Nick. I ADORED Nick. He was sweet, funny, full of one liners and really took time to understand Kristin. They both were amazing characters. Corinne Michaels did a fantastic job with character development and really took the time to make them relate-able. You will laugh, cry, blush and want more!

  • Peep Show by Isabella Starling

Another packed, powerful read by Isabella Starling. First, the cover won me over because DAYUM. Second, knowing one of the main characters, Miles, was a dark tattooed, muscular beast who loved to f*ck made Peep Show a must read for me.  Isabella constructed a detailed plot full of emotion and tension. Miles is deeply disturbed and suffers from severe mental health issues. His obsession with Bebe kicks off early on in the book and the game between them begins.  I enjoyed the “I dare you” aspect to their relationship because it really showed how far they would go for the other, though it was in some pretty delusional ways.  There are some super dark moments in this book. If you are triggered by the aspect of rape or assault, I warn you to proceed with caution.  Overall a pretty entertaining read that will have you in tears one minute and panting the next.

  • Sinner by Sierra Simone

Man. This book was so unexpected. I mean, it’s a Sierra Simone book, so it’s a given that it’s filthydirtyfuckhot (that’s totally a word), but what was unexpected was the emotion. It’s so much more than the bad boy dirtying up the virgin. It’s about faith and goodness and forgiveness and love. It hit me in the feels more than once, and that emotion was in perfect balance with the filthydirtyfuckhot. You will fall instantly in love with sinner Sean Bell. If I could give Sinner and Sierra Simone a billion stars, I would.

  • Very Twisted Things by Ilsa Madden-Mills

So, I went into this book thinking I’d get another bad boy rock star falling in love with literally, the girl next door. Instead, I’m sucked into Violet’s flashbacks from page 1. And holy hell, it’s a doozy and they keep coming throughout the story. I love being surprised not only by a plot, but how the characters and actual story are written. The past and present scenes were perfect for this book. I also enjoyed Violet and Sebastian’s back and forth flirting from across their fences, and they had some hot and sexy times alone and together.
I loved the end because Violet takes control of not only her story but helps Sebastian with his dreams.

  • Stud by Kelly Siskind

These characters stole my heart! Owen and Ainsley had me feeling all sorts of happy and in love! I’ll compare Stud by Kelly Siskind to your favorite romantic comedy that you watch EVERY TIME it is on TV because it just makes you giddy and full of hope.  The sexual tension between the two main characters builds over misconceptions and assumptions and it is so much fun to “watch” it all unfold.  A simple & sweet plot, well thought out characters and comedic romance makes Stud a must read!

  • Menace by Laramie Briscoe

I’ve been waiting for the single dad to get his romance.  He’s been through a lot with the Task Force and his son, he needed his HEA.  I loved Mason and Karina together, even if she fought the attraction at first.  This story had a lot of my favorite things: single parent finding love, a kid as part of the story, older characters who were still learning about themselves and how to be the perfect partner, plenty of sexy times and a little suspense to round it out.  Oh, and an epilogue I loved, though I did get teary-eyed when Mason’s son went off to college.

  • Playing His Way by Erika Wilde

Playing His Way is book #4 in The Players Club Series, but you don’t have to read the other books in order to follow and enjoy this one. If you love BDSM books with a hot, rich, moody Dominant and a feisty, opinionated, strong submissive, this is the book for you! It’s also a great book for someone just getting into the BDSM genre, the scenes are hot without being extremely explicit. I’ve always been a big fan of Erika Wilde books, and this one did not disappoint. Playing His Way is the perfect book if you’re looking for something fun and hot to read.

  • Vlad by Ker Dukey & K. Webster

I loved this dark, sinister world these two authors created. You find yourself knee deep in a dangerous mob story filled with twists, lies and manipulation. Watching Vlad & Irina ‘s dynamic was like observing a cat and mouse chase. Vlad is dominating and powerful and likes to toy with her.  The sex is gritty and raw and it’s super hot! The plot gets pretty complex but it will completely intrigue you from the beginning. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

  • When Sinners Kneel by R. Scarlett

I normally can’t ever get into a PR book and always end up getting confused and lost but R. Scarlett might have changed my mind. When Sinners Kneel was dark, edgy and captivating. The characters were easy to follow even within a complex world and the writing was fast paced but not confusing.  Beau and Lex  have a love/hate relationship and you feel it radiating off the pages.  Their dynamic is what made me love the book so much and the difficult journey they both face, as individuals and together, was beautifully crafted. I need more!!

  • Before She Was Mine by Amelia Wilde

Sometimes in life you just need a feel good book that takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride and Before She Was Mine by Amelia Wilde does the trick. Summer & Dayton grew up together, share a lifetime of memories with one another, and watch the other experience the ups & downs of life. Dayton suffers from PTSD and it is tough throughout the book watching him struggle with wanting to shield Summer from his issues. There is undeniable chemistry there and the pay off at the end is well worth the crying Amelia puts you through with her writing. An emotional read, but a powerful one.

  • Collision Point by Lora Leigh

Lora Leigh knows how to mix her romances with hot alphas and strong women in a perfect medley of action, suspense, mystery and hot bedroom activity. I’m a big fan of the amnesia sub-plot, and reading about Amara remembering her and Riordan’s relationship and her abduction was intense, heartbreaking, scary, and uplifting. Lora did a great job keeping me guessing on who the villain was and how they fit into the plot. I second-guessed myself numerous times whenever the plot twisted in a new direction. Plus, since you were learning about Amara’s memories as she was, you were blind to a lot of the clues until the end and then bam! I was shocked. There were plenty of sexy times to enhance the plot, Riordan could not keep his hands off his lady love, Amara, and he loved the dirty talk.

  • Ruined by Lisa Lace

Ruined follows Edward who finds himself in charge of his fathers company shortly after his death. In walks Mia one day and instead of chewing up her company and spitting it out, he takes a chance.. in more ways than one. I loved the dynamic between the innocent but feisty Mia and dominating alpha Edward. Definitely has a 50 Shades feel in the respect of troubled man meets naive & shy girl but Lisa Lace does a fantastic job of creating a dynamic plot that was sexy and kept you on your toes.

  • Priest by Sierra Simone

I’ve had this book on my TBR list for a while, and now I’m kicking myself that I waited so long to read it! You might think you know what you’re about to read. You don’t. This book is traumatizing in the best way, but it’s definitely not for everyone. It’s taboo and EXTREMELY dirty. The passion and the lust and the guilt and the love are overwhelmingly beautiful and heart-wrenching. This book is simply amazing.

  • Love Slave for Two: Beginnings by Tymber Dalton

What’s better than one hot book boyfriend? You guessed it – TWO hot book boyfriends. Tommy and Tyler are both absolutely adorable in this story that tells about the paths they took to find each other. There’s a lot of variety in this book – M/M, BDSM, groups of 3 and 4, but it all comes down to these two lovable men, and the beginning of their relationship. I cannot wait to get started on the next book in the series!!!

  • Up in Smoke by T.M. Frazier

The King Book Series is one of my favorites and Up In Smoke lived up to my expectations. I think I fell in love with Frankie. She is so bad ass, raw, passionate & emotional. I adored her character and flew through this book because of T.M.’s incredible storytelling. She developed Frankie & Smoke perfectly, mixing his darkness with her light. He is pure MC. Hot, rugged, brutal and all alpha. Dear God, I love his twisted soul. I fan-girled a bit when a bunch of the other characters from the previous books showed up! How could I not?!?! Give us MORE, T.M.! I cannot get enough of this series!

  • His Temptation by Amber Bardan

I had the pleasure of meeting Amber at Shameless17, and she is an absolute sweetheart, so I decided to try out one of her books. She did not disappoint!!! Clay and Katie’s story was captivating! Katie’s character is so easy to relate to, partly because of her crush on Clay. And Clay is endearing in spite of his grumpiness. Their role playing is super hot, and their story is impossible to put down. ~Jean [February 2018]

  • Inseparable by Mia Ford

Nathan & Amanda’s story is just what I was in the mood for! It’s a little bit insta-love, a little bit second chance and a whole lot of emotion. These two meet by chance but you quickly learn that they are meant to be and even though they have their fair share of ups & downs throughout the story, Mia Ford does an awesome job of making it all come together in the end.

  • Fused in Fire by K.F. Breene

I binge-read this trilogy from K.F. Breene in a weekend, and I’m needing more of this couple. It was a great UF/PNR story, with non-stop action you will be turning the pages before you realize it. It had plenty of comic relief mixed in with the danger, suspense, and mystery. Book 1 is the slow burn part of the romance, and then books 2 and 3 you get more of Darius and Reagan as a couple. There is plenty of magic and mayhem mixed in with their romance, but this last book was a perfect mix of what I love about UF/PNR stories: a strong female character, the men who love them, great side characters, and non-stop action.

  • Forever Right Now by Emma Scott

A book about life, love and forgiveness. A one night stand for Sawyer the Lawyer gets him a surprise….a baby. Battling her own demons, Darlene moves to a new city for a fresh start and a new life! Lucky for her, the old Victorian she moves into has a handsome but grumpy neighbor. The two of them find each other at the right time. One needing to live his life outside of the confines of courtrooms and law books and the other needing to forgive herself of mistakes made in the past. I LOVED it! A truly, lovely book by Emma Scott! • Indiscretions of a God by Sunniva Dee

This book was dirty. This book was taboo. This book was sexy and suspenseful. This book was amazing! FIVE emotionally charged stars for my first read by Sunniva Dee. Isaias & Tatiana were so enticing as characters. I loved the mystery Sunniva built around Tatiana and how you were constantly wondering what more there was to her character. Isaias becomes completely enthralled with her and his obsession with her became MY obsession with her. The plot is overly complex, but not confusing and the tension that builds is powerful. I loved every part of this book.

  • Eulogy by Rachel Van Dyken

Eulogy is one of the most anticipated books of 2018, and it was well worth the wait! Rachel Van Dyken has a gift for making you laugh, cry, cringe and fall in love with a killer. If you weren’t #TeamChase before, you will be now! There’s a reason this is one of my favorite series, each book in the series gets better and better, the story lines ever changing and always engaging. I can go on and on for days with reasons you’ll love this book and this series, but you’ll need to experience it….and it’s a fantastic experience. [February 2018]

  • On His Knees (Blasphemy) by Laura Kaye

Alex and Jamie are a couple I would like to get in the middle of, and by that I mean I would be the cream right in the middle of their cookie. I fell in love with both of these men, and I simply couldn’t put their story down. Their chemistry is amazing, the sex scenes are off the charts hot, and their relationship is so open and honest, that I wanted more when I got to the end. This is one that I will go back and read again and again.

  • Gentleman Nine by Penelope Ward

Channing Lord is now the standard against which I judge all book boyfriends. He’s sweet and sexy and wears his heart on his sleeve. I love the way he and Amber were really friends first, before the sexual chemistry exploded. This book had some crazy twists and went places I did not expect. It’s really emotional, very sweet and romantic and extremely hot. It’ll hit you in all of the feels and then some. [February 2018]

  • Kissing Booth by River Laurent

Brock and Dani’s story is simple & sweet. Even though the premise of their “relationship” begins with a fake fiancee setup, the plot and the characters develop into an interesting tale with a few bumps and twists. Brock knows what he wants, when he wants it and how he wants it and Dani has a little bit of a hard time accepting her role in all of it. A fun take on Cinderella with back and forth sexual tension and a cute, evolving dynamic.

  • Beautifully Broken by KB Winters

Beautifully Broken is an amazing story with intriguing characters that you will fall in love with the moment you meet them. Max stole my heart and just ran with it. He suffers from PTSD and it was hard at times watching him try and break free from that. Then there is Jana. I adored Jana. She is a strong, sassy woman who has her fair share of past issues but she has so much love to give someone and stays true to herself throughout. They meet and it is tough for both, but the connection is undeniable. Their interactions are very realistic and I love when a story makes you feel like “this could happen to me”. A beautiful book overall that I know will stay with me for a bit.

  • The Pilot and the Puck-Up by Pippa Grant

Pippa had me rolling again with this new couple. It’s a dual- POV, so you’ll be giggling at what Zeus was thinking about Joey, then the next chapter laughing at Joey’s responses. Some of the things that came out of their mouths (or their inner monologues) were highlight worthy. In fact, I think I had more funny parts highlighted than sexy parts, even though the sexy parts are just as good. They do give in to the sexual tension in some creative places. They are hot, hilarious, and swoony; from an hockey rink to 20,000 miles up in the air, these two have such fun together. I loved how Pippa wrote about Joey’s strengths, her love of her sister, and her ability to give in to love, let down her walls and then showed us how Zeus responded to this strong, intimidating woman (he makes her gooey – her words.) Lastly, Pippa gave us more of the great side characters to add even more hilarity to the plot.
