This was a fun, non-smutty, old fashioned romance book!!! I love historical romances, and this one did not disappoint. There are so many fun characters in this book, most notably Ella and Rufus, that I couldn’t help but fall in love with their story. Even the bad characters had so much dimension that my hate for them drew me into the story even more! [February 2018]

Protector’s Claim by Airicka Phoenix
This is my first book by Airicka Phoenix and I am definitely a fan. Protector’s Claim was sexy, emotional and full of ups & downs. Kieran was so possessive in all the right ways and I grew to love his character and adored the way he & Gabby were connected. If you find romances with dominating alpha males as intriguing as I do, then you will enjoy this book and the characters. [February 2018]

More Than Love You by Shayla Black
This book is different than most because it’s from the Hero’s point of view. It’s full of hot sex, and in the beginning, the sex overshadowed the story. Once Noah and Harlow’s story started to unfold, I was hooked. I loved that it was love at first sight for Noah, and he had to convince Harlow what they had was more than lust. There were a few plot twists that I hope will become stories of their own. I can’t wait to see what’s to come with Harlow’s brother!! [February 2018]

Rough Ride by Kristen Ashley
Any piece of Chaos I can get makes me giddy. Snapper and Rosalie are much calmer than most Chaos bikers and old ladies, but no less sexy and swoon-worthy. There’s a main story line that continues through the Chaos novels, and it’s a big part of this novella. Snapper and Rosie’s story was a fantastic addition to this already great series. It was fun to get a glimpse of some other KA characters and she gave us a scary and exciting glimpse of what’s to come. Can’t wait!! [February 2018]
God damn it was great to be back with Chaos, seeing all the boys again, but that damn epilogue… KA killing me!
And don’t get me started on the preview for Hound’s book. I already know it’s going to gut me.
I loved Snap and Rosie together, he was gentler than the previous Chaos men, but still had a secret alpha side to him. As with all KA’s stories, I’d loved for it to be longer, but seeing as we saw some of their story in previous books, this was a good tidying up of their romance. -
The Lucky Ones by Tiffany Reisz
Once again I am blown away by the writing talent of Tiffany Reisz. In the Lucky Ones, she concocts a tale woven together with secrets, lies, selfless love and a whole lot of heart. I love the suspenseful tone to this story and how even I was a little shocked and caught off guard as the plot began to unravel. But that is why I read Tiffany without question. I walk away from her books with the same feeling I get after finishing a Stephen King or Joe Hill novel. Total and utter satisfaction… and a little disturbed!
Tiffany Reisz is a wizard with the written word. Every time I finish one of her books, I want to spend time inside of her brain. She continues to write totally unique, troubling and beautiful stories. The Lucky Ones is no exception. It’s a story about family and the secrets families keep to keep their loved ones safe and happy. Just when you think you know, you don’t. Bow down to the queen, her genius with the words is unparalleled.
I’m always so excited to dive into another Tiffany Reisz adventure. Notice that I called it an adventure, not a book, because it is so much more. Everything is explained to you in detail. From the colors to the smells down to the simplest emotions of each character, you absolutely feel like you are there. That is the gift that Tiffany gives you when you’re reading her words. The Lucky Ones gave all that to me and more! Family bonds can never be broken. Even when they’re held together by false truths. This is now one of my favorites. [February 2018]

Infraction by Rachel Van Dyken
This is not your typical football player/cheerleader romance. Nor is it your typical friends-to-lovers romance. There’s a lot of heart and emotion in this book, it’s about love and loss and family, but it’s also funny, romantic and extremely sexy. If you weren’t #TeamMiller before, you will be now! I can’t wait to see what happens with this crew, especially with Kinsey’s brother, Jax! I think his story is going to be epic!! [February 2018]

Taken by J.C. Valentine
J.C. Valentine gives you a little bit of everything in this quick read!
Elise is at the grocery store one second, and being kidnapped the next. She is forced into an environment where she has no control and finds herself using it to her advantage. “Manhandler” and “Driver” are two very different alpha males and their roles in the kidnapping go down two very different paths. Super hot sexual tension and nothing too dark, so don’t be worried if you think it will be too much. I loved the twist and really wanted more of this story!

The Elder by Celia Aaron
Mystery, murder and a whole lot of suspense is what you are in store for with The Elder. Celia’s writing keeps you on the edge of your seat and has you flipping through the pages feverishly trying to get to the bottom of story. Benton and Arabella are a dynamic duo and I loved watching the sparks fly between them as their relationship grows from friends to lovers. The Elder is filled with twists and turns but the story comes together really well and the romance is hot!

Moonlight Sins by Jennifer Armentrout
I needed a cold shower after this book. Lucian is my new favorite book boyfriend. He’s a hot, dirty talking, alpha male with a dark past and a messed up family. This book was the perfect blend of romance and mystery/suspense. Just be prepared to have a hard time putting it down for important stuff, like, you know, sleeping and eating.

Coven by Rebecca Main
This book should come with a panty combustion rating! I mean, seriously – hot alpha Lycan male meets female who is a witch but doesn’t know it yet, when they are fated to be together. Just wow. There’s some super hot chemistry in this book, supernatural creatures, witchcraft, and all around fun. I am definitely going to continue with this series, and will report back with more!!! ~Jean [January 2018]

Flirting With The Law by Madison Faye
A sexy, hot quick read that follows Samantha on a wild ride after she finds out her fiancé is not who he says he is. Blake and Dustin are two, over-the-top Alpha cops ( I KNOW – did you just combust at the thought because DAYUM!) who know what they want and how they want it. The sex between them all is scorching and it will leave you hot & bothered. Trust me, read this ALONE and be ready to get worked up!

Most Eligible Billionaire by Annika Martin
If you’re looking for a great alpha-hole hero, you will love to hate Henry Locke. You will also love the antics that Vicky gets up to with Smuckers the dog, but want to punt Henry every time he’s mean to her. This was a great unique storyline, and I couldn’t put it down. I was worried how Annika would get me to love Henry when the things he would do to Vicky to try and get her to quit and give up. There was some heartbreak, but Henry does a great grovel.

Misadventures of a Backup Bride by Shayla Black
I just LOVE Shayla Black and her writing style. She’s had my reading heart for years and once again, I fell in love with her characters and their story! Carson sure has himself in a pickle when he agrees to marry the daughter of a rich business man who offers to help his company. Quick on his feet, he tells the dad he is in love with someone else only it’s not true AND the someone else has no clue. In walks Ella -the someone else- who agrees to help Carson out of his little jam. But wouldn’t you know, the possibility of love between them becomes real and filled with passion!! I loved this one and you will too! [January 2018]

Their Virgin PA by S.C. Daiko
Dear lord, I love me a good ménage and SC Daiko knows how to write them well! Blake and Declan are two alpha billionaires and Sara is their new personal assistant. There is an instant attraction between them and the sexual tension that continuously builds is overwhelming at times. The sex is off the charts and the characters emotions throughout are great. Over all a hot story filled with the struggle of denying ones true desires and overcoming fears to get what you want.

Indecent Exposure by Tessa Bailey
I have a new BBF and his name is Jack Garrett! He’s wonderfully flawed, almost broken even, he’s a semi-slacker with a heart of gold. It takes the support and encouragement of one beautiful, quirky, gun-toting, mafia-loving woman to make him see his worth. Jack and Katie’s whirlwind romance will have you swooning, swearing and sweating from beginning to end. [January 2018]

Stumbling Into Love by Aurora Rose Reynolds
I feel like I’m always repeating myself in my reviews for Aurora, but her characters just make me warm and fuzzy. I always know what to expect when I read one of her stories: a hunky alpha male who knows when he finds the woman of his dreams, and a woman who needs a little convincing, usually via hot sex. Wes and Mackenzie were great together, and yes, Wes did have to convince Mackenzie that she was exactly what he wanted in his life. The side characters, especially the moms, gave this extra laughs. I’d read a book just about their antics in trying to marry off their children prior to them meeting their future loves.

Combust by K. Bromberg
What a fantastic book! K. Bromberg is an expert at giving us a great story with flawed characters you can’t help but love. Grady and Dylan are each fighting their own demons and insecurities, but they find comfort and strength in each other. Combust is funny, sexy and extremely emotional. Be prepared to laugh, cry and swoon while you fall absolutely in love with Grady and Dylan.

Pulled Under by Lisa Renee Jones
I do love me some Walker security men. And long-blonde-haired, green-eyed, tatted Asher is completely swoon-worthy. There’s something super sexy about the way he grabs onto Sierra and refuses to let her run away, and comes up with a plan to get rid of the threats in her life so they can be together. This is a love story with a bit of suspense, a bit of action, and a lot of chemistry!!! ~Jean [January 2018]

Before Him Comes Me by Alexandria Sure
I have a confession to make – I am 100% vanilla in the real world, and I don’t know much about BDSM, except for what I read in books. This book gave me a lovely look into the mind of a submissive, and really awakened my curiosity. As much as I loved the dynamic between Zara and Garrett, and enjoyed the scenes between them, I had just as much fun watching Zara explore who she was on her own. And there were two cameos that I loved – one by our very own Dear Mistress, and another by Wallbanger, one of my favorite previous Twilight fanfics!!!

Suddenly Forbidden by Ella Fields
Ella Fields brings ALL the feels in this romantic, coming of age story. She makes you experience every new feeling from your first love all over again. Daisy and Quinn grew up together from a very young age. They have a connection that encompasses every emotion because they literally grow into who they are throughout the book, sharing their angst, happiness and sadness as they find their way. This story truly is an emotional roller coaster but their love is so pure and innocent that you fall in love with the journey. Fair warning though, you will get deeply invested in the characters and you will want more when it is over.

Hot Head by Damon Suede
This book is beautifully written. The characters have amazing depth, and the city of NY and its struggles are a phenomenal backdrop to the the gritty tale. I found myself truly routing for Griffin and often needing to cool down after some of his encounters.

His to Have by Devon Birchley
What a hot book! Rea meets Adler at a sex expo randomly and has no idea the door she is about to open! The whole book is him introducing her to the world of BDSM and fun filled kink and it is amazing! She discovers desires she had NO idea existed and finds something deep inside herself that yearns for fulfillment. Off the charts sex scenes filled with crops, butt plugs and so much more! If you love some kink in your books, this is a must read!

In the Pursuit of Charity by Alexandria Sure
I have been on a quest to read some new authors before #Shameless18, so I started with Alexandria Sure. This is a super cute story that took me right back to my college days. Linc is adorable with his crush on Alexis, even though she is a bit heavier than the usual girls he is interested in, and her size is something they both struggle with. Although the characters don’t complete their journey in this book, the author has said that it is a prequel, so I am looking forward to seeing where they end up.

Dirty Rich One Night Stand by Lisa Renee Jones
This book grabbed me from the start and refused to let go. The dynamic between Cat and Reese as they fall deeper into each other kept me hooked through the entire book. Their chemistry is off the charts hot, and watching them prep their court case was way hotter than it should have been. Not to mention there’s something super sexy about a man who knows what he wants and goes after it, even when what he wants isn’t terribly sure that she wants him back! Add in the mystery they are trying to solve, and this book has something to offer for everyone. ~Jean [January 2018]

About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis
I love the gang from Heartbreaker Bay and I’ve been waiting for Joe and Kylie’s story since they shared a hot kiss in a previous book. I love that Joe and Kylie’s adventures included couples I fell in love with in the other books. You definitely don’t have to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one. About That Kiss is funny, sweet and romantic with a little mystery and suspense mixed in. A great addition to an already fun and sexy series. [January 2018]

Ryan’s Bed by Tijan
Ryan’s Bed was about loss, finding love, and keeping the family together. Since this was more young/new adult, there was high school drama, petty bullying and mean girls, but Tijan will have you addicted to the story of Ryan and Mackenzie.
I thought Tijan did a wonderful job detailing the loss of a loved one, subsequent depression, and the different stages of grief. Your heart will hurt but you will also feel lifted up as Mackenzie learns to let go of her sister and become stronger with Ryan. I really need a book about them after they reach college and graduate. I just loved them together, and their friends made a great cast. ~ Marissa [4.5/5 stars] -
It’s Our Secret by Willow Winters
Dean and Allison’s story is filled with anger, revenge, passion and love. The combination of all these things lead to one epic story from Willow Winters. I am amazed by the amount of detail she fits into the plot and the characters lives. It’s truly a wild ride, where the past could ruin the present and the love between two people is what saves them from destruction. Hot, unpredictable and a must read!

Taken by the Dom by Cassandra Dee & Katie Ford
Headmaster and Student. I mean really…what more do you want from an erotica book? Oh, you want an Alpha male? This has it. You want submission? Got it!! Troubled girl and a HOT DOM? YEP…it’s in there! A quick read with bonus material in the back. Steamy and worth it!! Nice to spend some time with you, Headmaster Thorn. ~ Theresa [January 2018]

Too Easy by Willow Winters
Too Easy is the Prequel to ‘She Asked for It’ which is due out January 23,2018. Willow really sets the tone for the book, giving you just enough details about Dean and Allie’s past to make you want so much more. Both have had disturbing events happen to them it seems and I cannot wait to get the backstory for who they are today. Willow always writes deeply twisted story lines and this seems to be no different! If you’ve read her books before, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, start here!

Gio by Kenya Wright
Gio is my first book by Kenya Wright and I am blown away. This love story between Giovanni and Simone was filled with passion, lust and excitement. He knows he wants her from the beginning but she makes him work for it. Music was her love and her independence was what she knew. I adored how naive and blind she was to his feelings towards her. It made her character relate-able and their interactions realistic. Kenya really know hows to write a story that will keep you enticed til the very last page. Impressed and ready for her next!
