The latest installment of the Rosemary Beach Series is a bit different than the others. Maybe because the characters are growing up and getting older, but The Best Goodbye is a little darker, a little dirtier and a little more mysterious than the others. No less engaging and romantic, River and Addy’s second chance at romance will break your heart then put it right back together again. [December 2015]

The Final Move by Victoria Denault
The Final Move is a sweet and sexy book with characters that could be my friends in real life, even though they’re famous hockey players. I adore Devin as a man and a father and I would totally be BBFs with Callie. I love a good friends-to-lovers story and theirs has the perfect amount of heat, angst, romance and humor. [December 2015]

Consequences of Deception by Ella Fox
This book is the first by Ella Fox that I have read, and it won’t be my last. She created a story that captivated me all the way through. It is a full of love, loss, lies, revenge and redemption. Sloane is always forgiving and hopeful. When she loves, she loves hard and with all her heart. And Killian, well he is a total alpha. You love to hate him. It has a mild BDSM aspect to it and lots of dirty talk, which is a favorite of mine! Those who like twists and turns plus lots of hot sex, you need to go ahead and 1-click now!

Operation Foreplay by Christine Hughes
I’m totally in love with this book. First of all, it’s hilarious. Second, it chock-full-o’ crazy sexual tension, and I love that. Jared and Melody heat up the sheets and the pages and I loved watching them get each other all riled up then trying to fight the urge. It’s the perfect light, funny, sexy, easy weekend read. Enjoy! Freakshow by Jaden Wilkes
I am a huge fan of tattooed strangers and taboo behavior. When I read that the main character runs away and joins a Freakshow circus in this book, my only thought was HELL. YES!! I fell in love with Olivia right from the beginning. Even with everything she has been through in her life, she has hope and is such a strong character. You are rooting for her right from the start. And Cairo.. Oh sexy, tattooed, muscular Cairo. You will be thinking about running away and joining the circus after being introduced to him, believe that. Freakshow is filled with tons of mystery, intense sexy scenes, dark fantasy and deep love. There is also a shapeshifter element which surprised me but actually made the story so much more suspenseful! Jaden Wilkes keeps you guessing until the very end.

Dirty Deeds by Megan Erickson
I’ve come to LOVE this series by Megan Erickson and she spun a sexy tale of a sexy British businessman meets a tomboy mechanic. It’s a nice twist on the uptown boy and small town girl. I’d love to read more about them. ~ Nelle [December 2015]

Watched: Volume 2 by Bethany James
This is the 2nd installment of Jack and Celia’s story and it starts where the first leaves off. I loved Watching: Volume 1 and was unsure if Bethany James could deliver the same heat in Volume 2. She does NOT disappoint. Jack & Celia are insanely hot on their own. Throwing Elle & Drew into the mix brings the story to the next level. There is a hint of BDSM mixed with voyeurism involved and it makes for another hot, quick and steamy ride that will leave you wanting more!

What Maxi Needs by Calista Fox
Sometimes I just want something light-hearted and easy to read. Something with a great story, funny banter and smoking hot sex scenes. I found that in this book. Strong female leads, sexy nerds and shoes. Need I say more? [December 2015]

The Housemistress by Keira Michelle Telford
I absolutely adored this story. Erotic, sensual, and everything in between. It is hard not to fall in love with Riley & Carriveau right from the start. I enjoyed the cat and mouse chase between them. Keira Michelle Telford gives you everything; Romance, hotness and heartache. Her characters are so real and the scenes so visual. I would love a sequel showing how their passionate love affair progresses. This story leaves you wanting more!
When you read that a book takes place in a same sex boarding school, you #1clickthatbitch. This taboo love affair between a student and her teacher was respectively written with longing, lust, love and even a little bit of mystery. All these details made for an excitement filled book that I could not put down. I am new to Kiera’s books and was so impressed by The Housemistress that I am moving right onto another by her, Come, My Pet. Looking for something new? This is the book you want!

Crashed Out by Tessa Bailey
NEW TESSA SERIES!! And this time she brings us an older woman and younger man, or more accurately, a rock star and his former baby sitter. And OH DAMN! Their chemistry is off the charts!!~ Nelle [December 2015]
Once again, I have so many dirty quotes, my Kindle looks like one giant highlight. But don’t worry, those are woven in between the meat of the story. I’m not sure how Tessa does it, but she creates such great characters, with real struggles and faults, and you become engrossed in their story, feeling their doubt, heartache, and eventually love. Sarge had to compete with Jasmine hung up on their age difference, but also that she’s unhappy with how her life has ended up. It was hard watching Sarge struggle to overcome Jasmine constantly pushing him away, but Tessa made it all better with hot bedroom scenes and Sarge’s sweet and dirty persistence.

Misconduct by Penelope Douglas
I’m a big fan of forbidden romance so this book was right up my ally! Tyler and Easton give a sexy new meaning to “parent-teacher conference.” Their chemistry and sexual tension was off the charts, and once they gave in it was HOT!! Not only was their story sexy and romantic, I really enjoyed the sub-plot of Tyler and his son. Lots of heat and romance and a little plot twist make this a must-read!!
Wonderful writing from Penelope Douglas because she again gives us 2 characters struggling with their choices, falling in love, hot sexy times and a small plot twist I did not see coming. Plus, their separate interactions with Tyler’s moody son are sometimes sad and heartbreaking, but other times uplifting. I also enjoyed how Tyler was able to lower his walls enough to tell Easton how he felt about her and wanted her in his life, but we still see ups and downs of an explosive romance. -
Forbid Me by M. Robinson
What’s better than young love? Forbidden young love!! Not only was she 15 and he 22 when they first kissed, but she’s his best friend’s little sister!! *Insert diabolical music here* I love that Jacob and Lily’s story is told through flashbacks intermingled with the now, and it was great (and heartbreaking) to see events from the first book through their eyes. While their road to happily ever after was bumpy and full of twists and tuns, their story is real. I’m REALLY looking forward to the next in the series. I have a feeling Dylan and Aubrey are going to rip me to shreds. Bring it!!

All He Wants for Christmas by Elisabeth Naughton, Alexandra Ivy, Cynthia Eden, Katie Reus, Laura Wright and Skye Jordan
Recommendation of Home Advantage. I loved Skye Jordan’s take on the rich city guy and small town girl. She always brings the heat/heart/humor. Faith and Meier warmed up my cold Christmas heart. ~ Nelle [December 2015]
I’m recommending this anthology as a whole, because I can’t choose which story I like the most. I love all of these authors so I jumped at the chance to review their stories and they did not disappoint. You get a lot of well written story in these novellas, about 2 bedroom (or out of the bedroom) scenes per story, and even a few of them have an added suspense bonus. You get second chance romances, rock stars, sports stars, spies, former SEALs, billionaires and lawyers, which is enough variety to hit everyone’s favorite genre.

Tryst by SL Jennings
Tryst was.a surprise. It’s not a traditional romance. It’s a mature read, full of twists and turns. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but open your mind and you will find a page turner. ~ Nelle [November 2015]

Watching: Volume 1 by Bethany James
I knew I would love this story as soon as I read the words “Do you like to watch?” This is the first volume in the Watching series and it does not disappoint. Celia is a very good girl until Jack unleashes her inner Voyeur. The chemistry between them is instant and incredibly intense. The sex is off the chart hot and it leaves you wanting more. If you love a kinky quick read then 1-click now.

Sinful Longing by Lauren Blakely
I’ve been waiting for the bad-boy, tattooed Sloan brother and Lauren delivered on all counts. Colin and Elle’s path is not an easy one, but the pay off is beautiful and rewarding.~ Nelle [November 2015]

Perfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan
Often I’ll read a book and have no connection to the heroine. I don’t always mind it. If the story is good, I can usually overlook it. But Willow. Every woman you’ve ever met in your life will be able to relate to Willow. I don’t care if you’re a size 4, 14 or 24 or if you’re 16, 36 or 56 years old, at one point in your life you’ve hated something about your body. Not all of us suffered the same tragedy and difficult upbringing as Willow, but we’ve been there. The greatest thing about this book? Willow’s issues were only part of the story. It’s a big part, but when it comes down to it, it’s a fantastic, romantic story of love and trust. And don’t even get me started on the sexy, alpha Kane Masters. Well done Harper! [November 2015]

Compromising Her Position by Samanthe Beck
Compromising Her Position provides the perfect escape. Even if you don’t have a beach to go to, it’s a perfect beach read. Samanthe Beck managed to take me to beautiful locales and immersed me in Rafe and Chelesa’s sexy story. ~ Nelle [November 2015]

To Dare a SEAL by Sara Jane Stone
Sara Jane Stone does it again with To Dare a SEAL. Sexy, soulful and funny she brings the wit and the heat to Natalie and Jack’s story. ~ Nelle [November 2015]

Reaper’s Fall by Joanna Wylde
I wasn’t sure Joanna Wylde would be able to match my love of Picnic, but she did it with Painter. I feel Painter’s story is a little more New Adult, but still just as raw as the rest of the Reaper’s stories. I loved the letter writing aspect of their relationship and the dual POV really enhanced the story. I liked hearing the reasons Painter was using to refuse to be anything more than friends in the beginning, but then also seeing what dirty things Painter was thinking about as he fought his attraction and love for Melanie. Then, Melanie, who he thinks is Little Miss Innocent, has just as many dirty thoughts about Painter and we also see how much she hates being just friends. This is by far the funniest Reaper’s story to date, but don’t worry, plenty (PLENTY) of alpha male chest beating and claims of “MINE” can be found within these pages. Just how we like ’em.

Easy Melody by Kristen Proby
Wow, Callie and Declan really delivered! I felt their passion and their angst. Another winner from Kristen Proby. ~ Nelle [Month 2015]

The Life of Anna, Part 1: Enslaved by Marissa Honeycutt
This is my favorite genre and this book did not disappoint. It is a well written, intriguing, sexy, erotic, DISTURBING read. Enslaved is part one of five novels. From chapter one, I was engrossed in Anna’s story. You should know, she is a sex slave which entails her to give up any and all of her control. She is trained to accept sexual and physical abuse as normal. It is graphic and it is twisted but you won’t be able to put it down. The darkness that Marissa Honeycutt creates in this world with her writing allows you to feel the pleasure and pain Anna is put through. There is also a paranormal aspect to this story but it makes things very interesting. The thing I love most about it is that there is absolutely no way to guess what is going to happen next, full of twists and turns. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Anna in Part 2: Entwined! Transcending Darkness by Airicka Phoenix
I just finished this one and wow, it really surprised me. I thought it was going to be super dark and twisty, but it was more romantic suspense with an almost sweet (but dirty) love story. Yes, there were some dark-ish scenes but you get a lot of well written story, good side characters and plenty of sexy times. It is almost 600 pages, but I never felt it dragged or that a bunch of scenes were written for filler. It all flowed perfectly to the big climax and a sweet epilogue. I wouldn’t mind reading about a couple of the main side characters either. [October 2015]

One King’s Way by Samantha Young
I love this series. Samantha Young is a master at the modern romance. Rain and Craig’s story is a quick one but it doesn’t lack depth or steam! ~ Nelle [November 2015]

November 9 by Colleen Hoover
Colleen Hoover is a literary genius. She takes what seems like a normal love story and turns it into something extraordinary. It’s unique and beautifully written with all of the intense feels you expect from a CoHo masterpiece. Simply brilliant. ~Adrian
I was hooked from the start.
By the end – or maybe near the middle – of chapter one, the hook was in my cheek and I was flopping on the deck, gasping for more Fallon and Ben. As CoHo tends to do, she twists and turns the story around the pile of tissues stacking up next to my leaking eyeballs. Great job, Colleen. You’ve done another hatchet job on my heart. ~Angie -
Hard Beat by K. Bromberg
K. Bromberg is a freaking genius with words. This book kept me up all night. Because I just couldn’t put it down. Because it’s fantastic and witty and sexy and beautiful and heartbreaking and lovely. It’s a unique story in a unique setting that will keep you completely enthralled until the last word. Brilliant! [November 2015]

Walk Through Fire by Kristen Ashley
If I could give this story more than 5 Stars, I would. In true KA fashion, we get our hot Alpha biker and the sweet, loveable (but can be tough) woman he loves. And when we get the older couple stories, we get lots of family time too. We do see more action in this book than in the previous and it has me nervous for the next few books for sure. I cried once and teared up a few other times because the beginning 40% just gutted me. I loved how we got to see High and Millie first fall in love 20+ years ago, their tumultuous reunion, and then the perfect reunion as only a KA alpha can perform . . . reinserting himself into his lady love’s life until she fully understand he’s not going anywhere. Plus, we saw the other Chaos ladies, Elvira and a few other KA characters we love, then another wonderful epilogue. [October 2015]
Second chance romance stories are my favorite, and this one tops them all!! It was awesome to watch High and Millie fall in love, then 20 years later pick up right where they left off!! People change a lot in 20 years, and High was involved in some shady stuff, but Millie never stopped loving him. Their story is gritty and real and beautiful. As always, it’s great to see favorite characters from KA’s other series and to catch up with the Chaos family. Walk Through Fire is definitely my favorite of the Chaos Series (Sorry Shy!!). -
The Queen by Tiffany Reisz
A beautiful conclusion to the best series ever! Tiffany Reisz does a remarkable job tying together all of the loose ends and presenting a new story for the Original Sinners. If you haven’t started the series, please pick up The Siren and check us again when you make it through.
How does one summarize the last book in her FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME? She doesn’t. She dries her cried-out eyes, puts her big-girl panties back on, and pretends the ending didn’t actually happen and it wasn’t as spectacular as it really was. Because if it was really as good as it actually was, and it came to an end, she would have to throw herself over a cliff. Or never read another book again. How can she go on with LIFE and READING and NORMALCY when her favorite characters are out there living their fantasy lives and she’s just sitting here, moping around her everyday life? It’s impossible, really. Just, kudos to you, Tiffany Reisz. Gold stars and 5-foot-tall trophies to the best author I’ve read, the best characters ever written, and most prophetic series brought forth into my life. And now, I’ll end my dramatics with a heavy sigh and another tear of emotion over-floweth. [October 2015]

Dirty Talk by Megan Erickson
This book was such a surprise! Brent and Ivy brought the smut trifecta (heat/heart/humor) and fabulous secondary characters to a fun but deep story. I can’t wait to read the others in the series. ~ Nelle [October 2015]
