Shane & Tess light the pages of The Play Room on Fire! đ„đ„đ„đ„ I was in the need of a steamy, quick little read that could pull me out of the realities of the world for a little bit and Annabel Lucas gave me just what I was craving. The story was filled with sensual, erotic undertones and the chemistry between Shane and Tess was addicting. I found myself not wanting their intimate scenes to ever end. The writing was not rushed in any way and it really made their story engaging and worthwhile.

When the Walls Come Down by Aly Martinez and M. Mabie
I’m a huge fan of both Aly Martinez and M. Mabie, so when I saw they were writing a story together, I was all-in. Imagine my surprise when I discovered these two authors who are known for writing angsty, slightly dark romances teamed up to write a Rom-Com! This story is a fresh take on the office romance trope. It’s funny and witty and the chemistry between Shane and Maggie is off the charts. Their flirty banter keeps the story light-hearted and fun, but there’s a little drama and angst thrown in to keep the story real. Martinez and Mabie make a great writing duo and I hope this is the first of many collaborations between them.

Fortune Fae Academy Book One by J. R. Thorn
I was already in love with the Elemental Fae Academy world created by J. R. Thorn and Lexi C. Foss. Now, delving deeper into that realm with this introduction to the dark world of the Fortune Fae, I am even more entranced. The characters in this book are wonderful, each with their own unique quirks and traits. The world is as intriguing as it is dangerous. And the story weaves and twists and turns with such adeptness that it’s impossible to put down. As for heat, there is something for everyone in this book – MM, MMF, MMMMF, etc. Read the trigger warnings in the publisher synopsis, and wait for book two if you don’t like cliffhangers!

Never Let Go by Jacki James
This is my first book in the River Gorge series and it won’t be my last. I’ll be honest, I am not a huge fan of “Daddy” stories but there was something about Maverick & Donovan’s journey that pulled me in. It felt real and raw. Their hesitations and personal struggles made them extremely relatable, focusing more on the emotional aspect of the new relationship and less on the “younger/older” dynamic. The sex, while extremely hot, felt less provocative. You could feel the love between them more than the lust. I also adored how different they were. A retired military man and a young tattoo artist who want the same thing but just don’t know it. Someone to love and someone who loves them.

Ruin Me by Nora Cobb
I came across this book while looking for a new reverse harem to read and was drawn in by the synopsis. Anna starts at a prestigious school and is instantly on the radar of the “Kings”, Arthur, Royce, and Max. Royce does not hide his true feelings of Anna one bit, âRemember what you are, whose blood runs through your veins, and who she isâa rat that fished a crown from the gutter,” while Arthur cannot deny his feelings for her. There is deception, lies, secrets and harsh truths within the walls of Weissmore Academy but Anna is determined to get to the bottom of it all. I found myself conflicted, wanting so much more from the characters and wished that bits of history had been revealed sooner. Even with that being said, Anna and the “Kings” make this series promising and I am eager to see what the next book brings.

Midnight Fae Academy Book Two by Lexi C. Foss
This book blew me away. The Midnight Fae Academy world introduced in book one captivated me, but the continuation in book two presented more pieces to the mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. After the cliffhanger at the end of book one, Shade, Zeph and Kols were on thin ice with Aflora, and it was so much fun to watch what happened next. In this book, Lexi weaves a mysterious plot with clues in place that make it impossible to put down. I cannot wait for book three. Warning, this one ends with another cliffhanger, so wait for book three if that bothers you.

Secret Keeper by Christopher Harlan
This is my first book in the Hero Club series and Christopher Harlan created characters that I absolutely adored! Dylan and Penelope melted my heart! Two people who are stuck in places they don’t want to be but offer one another an escape into happiness. Their passion gets hot and heavy as there is an intense attraction between them and the chemistry is undeniable. “This wasnât the time for foreplayâshe was begging me to get fucked in every way that I was capable of fucking her.” I mean.. COME ON! The way Dylan lets Penelope consume his every move and every thought is total swoon material. The secret meet-ups keeps the story very interesting and even the secondary characters play pivotal roles throughout the book, leading them to their HEA. I want more Dylan and Penelope!

Forever His by Jagger Cole
Jagger Cole has a way of writing a highly enjoyable and erotic story. Luke always had feelings for his best friend’s sister, Sienna, but never acted on them because of “bro code”. He had no idea she felt the same way and because of that, he ended up going off to the military without sharing his true feelings. Fast forward to her believing he died while there, she is set to get married to a man to settle her fathers debt when… SURPRISE, guess who walks in to claim her? Sienna is thrown for a loop when what her heart had been yearning for for years is standing in front of her. It is priceless. Luke makes no apologies for taking what he wants and it’s incredibly hot. Their reunion is SMOKING đ„ đ„ đ„! Forever His is a quick read but packed full of enough heat to make your world explode.

Court of Frost by Helen Scott and Lucinda Dark
The continuation of Cress’s story brings the reader deeper into the world of the fae, and it is one bumpy ride!!! The twists and turns make this book difficult to put down. Learning more about the fae men is enticing, and watching Cress bumble her way through Court politics is equal parts endearing and heart wrenching. Orion, Sorrell, and Roan are mysteries that beg to be unraveled, and the new cast of characters introduced in this book are so much fun to hate! I cannot wait for book three of this series!!! (Book two does end with a cliffhanger, so if you need to wait for book three to get the series, I will let you know when it’s out.)

Dream Maker by Kristen Ashley
THIS is the KA we know and love! Since Rock Chick is one of my favorite series ever, it’s no wonder I love a spin-off. Seeing my favorites at Fortnum’s totally made me smile. Dream Maker has that old-school KA vibe, but the story is fresh and fun. No one writes an alpha hero like Kristen Ashley. No one. Mag is everything I love in a hero. He’s confident and sexy and sweet and has no problem letting his feelings for Evie show. And Evie….what’s better than a nerdy stripper? The best thing in this book is the sisterhood, and this new generation of Rock Chicks might give the originals a run for their money. So much fun!!

The Fall of Sin by Bella J.
I could not wait to devour the second part of Saint & Mila’s story! It continued with its dark overtone and I was thrilled to see Mila finally chipping away at Saint. He is such a powerhouse of a character and the first book really drove home his arrogant, alpha driven bravado. The Fall of Sin really shows just how far he is willing to go for Mila and it kind of puts them on equal ground. I am not usually one to enjoy reading stories where women are portrayed to be weaker just because they are a woman but that is not the overall vibe here. Turns out Mila has more power than she realizes and that is what I loved!

The F List by Alessandra Torre
Fun and entertaining and WAY different from what we are used to getting from Alessandra Torre. The F List takes a look into the world of social influencers and “reality” TV. It’s light-hearted, sweet and endearing with characters who, though “famous”, are as real can be. Emma started out as a fame-hungry, insecure girl, but I grew to love her as the story progressed. Her love/hate relationship with Cash was fun to watch. File this book under “beach reads” as it’s the perfect way to spend a weekend.

The Hating Season by K.A. Linde
The Hating Season turned into a love fest for me! This story drags you through the emotions. English (Anna) and Court have that love/hate thing going on that leads to some crazy hot scenes. The way his presence just commands attention is something that not even English is safe from. He is a playboy in every sense of the word and owns it. He gets what he wants when he wants it. English can’t keep him out of trouble when she IS trouble for him, can she? I loved what their relationship becomes. The chemistry between them is hilarious and super delicious. I was looking for a solid story with some heavy, dirty sex scenes and K.A. Linde delivered!

Riot House by Callie Hart
The cover of this book is what caught my eye first. I mean, DAMN!!! đ Once I started reading, I was captivated with the world inside Wolf Hall Academy that Callie Hart created. It is like a soap opera but at a boarding school. It is packed with all the same drama, romance and mystery that you expect from Callie with some hot and steamy encounters! I fell hard for Wren and his bad boy image. His story keeps the book very interesting. Elodie cracks his hard-outer shell without him even realizing it and what starts as nothing for him quickly become everything. I really hope we find out more about the secondary characters in the second book because they were amazing! I honestly couldn’t put this book down.

Dirty Desires by Crystal Kaswell
Crystal Kaswell always delivers dirty, raw sexually charged dynamics in such a way, you cannot help but crave more when the story is over. Ian & Eve’s story is no different. I had a MAJOR girl crush on Eve. She is a young, feisty, punk rock queen who is finding her footing in the world of sex and Ian is eager to help her plant her feet. There is a big age difference (18/36) but it in no way makes the story any less sexy or delicious. They both lead two very different lives, but their desires are what bonds them. His interest in her grows from heated lust to genuine feelings as the story goes on. Plus, when they do finally get it on, you can feel how explosive it is. Seriously, smoking đ„đ„đ„ hot!

The Secrets We Hide by Becca Steele
As I expected, this book leaves off exactly where The Lies We Tell ended and it doesn’t disappoint, throwing you right into the whirlwinds of built up angst and frustrated lust. There are more questions being asked about Winter’s dadsâ death. The mystery that surrounds it continues to throw you for a loop. The relationships she is developing with The Four continue to be what make me fall in love with this story again and again. Caiden, Weston, Cassius and Zayde are each so hot and swoon worthy in they own ways and the way they begin to really care for Winter will give you all the feels. Caiden and Winter’s scenes are scorching hot! The way he cannot control himself around her will make you melt. Book 1 really set the pace for this story and I was so happy to see that Book 2 delivered on the same level! Major cliffhanger at the end that has me yearning for Book 3! HURRY!!!!

The Lies We Tell by Becca Steele
The Lies We Tell was a ridiculously hot romance tale mixed with suspense and mystery that I devoured in a night. Winter starts school at Alstone after her father passes away and is thrown into the path of THE FOUR (yes, that is what they are called). Caiden and Weston (her step brothers) and Cassius and Zayde (their friends) are known to rule the school. Caiden and Winter have an intense dynamic between them. He despises her, which really means he can’t stop thinking about her (taboo, I know) and their relationship is like gasoline meeting a match. I loved all the characters in this book. Realize this is a college-based plot so there are a few things that comes across as foolish and immature, but it did not take away from the incredible story line. I could not stop reading it. There is some uncertainty and mystery throughout the book and even though it ended on a cliffhanger, it made me so eager to dive into the second part!

Ruthless Princess by Rachel Van Dyken
Eagle Elite is my favorite series of all time. Why? Because no one writes mafia romance like Rachel Van Dyken. No. One. I was so excited for this spin-off, and I was ready to devour this book. Devour it I did! It has everything that makes an epic mafia story… family obligations, forbidden love, loyalty, and death. Wrap that all up with RVD’s beautiful writing, amazing characters, humor and enough heat to burn up the pages! While I adore these characters (especially Ash and Junior), my favorite parts include their parents. I can already tell that this spin-off saga will be just as amazing as Eagle Elite. #StillTeamChase

The Summer of Us by Melanie Moreland
The Summer of Us is another beautiful love story by Melanie Moreland. Linc and Sunny are the epitome of a second chance love story. Very Romeo & Juliet in their own ways. Their relationship was born in secret and left to derail in large part to Linc’s father. Fast forward 10 years, both are very much more aware of themselves and their feelings. Their paths cross again, and no amount of meddling can break them apart this time. Sunny became her own little powerhouse of confidence and Linc grew into a strong, assertive man. There is no denying the heated chemistry between these two and Melanie gives their emotional filled journey the justice it so greatly deserves.

The Rise of Saint by Bella J.
What a powerful story! Saint and Mila’s relationship is insane. I kept thinking I knew where the story was going and then BAM, Bella J. knocked me on my ass. First, Saint is everything you want in an alpha male. He is a rough, take no shit, I want what I want mafia guy who doesnât even flinch when it comes to kidnapping and violence. I found myself not loving him at first but as the story went on, my feelings changed. That is in large part to his character shift when Mila enters the picture. She offers a whole new side of the story and I loved her journey and history. The attraction between them leads to some explosive moments that had me drooling. Looking forward to the next book and what promises to be a fantastic series!

Winter’s Arrow by Lexi C. Foss
Snow White was never this sexy! Lexi C. Foss’s retelling of the Snow White fairy tale set in her X-Clan shifter omegaverse world will draw you in and refuse to let go. Kazek is as hot and sexy as he is, at times, infuriating, and the relationship he develops with Winter is equal parts explosively tempestuous and scorchingly hot. The wolf inspired aspects of the relationship add a depth to the story that is a lot of fun. The supporting characters are very well developed, so much so that I wanted to hear their stories as well! Get into this world today, and you will not be sorry!

See No Evil by Ivy Fox
This book rocked me! It is full of heat, emotion and mystery. I became obsessed with Stone and Finn in every capacity. Stone is one badass chick. She doesn’t take any shit and she doesn’t rely on anyone to get her what she wants. I loved her tenacity and sass. She stole my heart in this book more than Finn did! I love how infatuated he gets with her and I thoroughly enjoyed her not letting him own her in any way. She is who she is through and through. Things get super-hot between them and Ivy left very little to the imagination which I always appreciate! Even when Finn is having conversations with his dick (no I am not joking), she paints a very sexy, and hilarious, picture. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

The Institute: A Dark Anthology
I was super excited for this Anthology to come out because it contains stories from some of my favorite dark authors like Dani René & Jennifer Bene. I was even more excited to dive into the twisted worlds that Murphy Wallace, Anna Edwards, India R. Adams and Sian Claven created. Each story was unique and I could not stop reading them. They were well developed for short stories, incredibly disturbing and filled with sadistic heat.
Echo by Dani RenĂ© follows Ansel who becomes obsessed with his patients. It’s intense, addictive and full of bizarre surprises. Dani never lets me down with her evil goodness!
Marbh by Anna Edwards follows an assassin and the story if utterly remarkable. I loved this one! It is so well written and completely blew me away.
Hostile Illusions by India R Adams was so intriguing and probably my favorite in this anthology. Vera grabbed onto my heart and wouldn’t let go. India is a master storyteller through and through.
Mr. Cat Is Not Real by Jennifer Bene was exactly what I expected from Jennifer. F*CKED UP in all the right ways. It was hot, twisted and shocking. She never lets me down!
Release Me by Murphy Wallace really surprised me. It was deep while touching on some perplexities of a disorder but it did not take away from the entertainment of the story itself. I really look forward to the second part of this one!
Sanitorium by Sian B Claven was a whole lot of feelings shoved into a short story. It was amazing! The story definitely has a twisted mystery vibe and it surprised me throughout.

Splinters of You by Anne Malcom
Anne Malcom is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! She creates these dark worlds in which you become completely infatuated with the main characters. Magnolia and Saint have an unusual love story, if you want to call it that. They thrive off chaos, pain and darkness. The way it unfolds is truly unique, so I won’t give away specific details but know there are triggers throughout the story. Magnolia is a character you really love or really hate. She screams honesty and intrigue. She puts it all on the table and leaves very little to the imagination. I LOVED her for this. Anne did a fantastic job of making her hard yet lovable… in a twisted, demented kind of way! I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Court of Crimson by Helen Scott and Lucinda Dark
Court of Crimson sets up an intriguing world, introduces wonderfully crafted characters, and brings the reader into a story that promises intrigue, drama, and passion. Cress has led a sheltered life, and watching her discover who she truly is, including her sensual side, is a lot of fun. Roan, Sorrell, and Orion have mysterious pasts that I look forward to learning more about. I also look forward to learning more about the world this book is building. Warning – it does end on a cliffhanger, so wait until book two comes out before reading if that will bother you.

Blindly Indicted by Katie May
If you enjoy RH books with a lot of detail differentiating the heroes from one another, a splash of mystery, and a sweet heroine who is sexily corrupted by her group of hot men, this book will check off all of your boxes! I really enjoyed the development of all of the characters in this story, while wondering what was going to come next. Nina is an adorable heroine who comes out of her shell with her boys, there’s something for everyone among her harem, and there’s even a super fun cameo from a character from Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy’s Conveniently Convicted. Grab this one today!

Shacking Up by Abby Knox
This story was like a little bundle of hot yumminess. I absolutely adored Sam. He is polite and sweet but so rugged and manly in his own way. Wren sends him over the edge and his struggle not to fall for her is adorable. The best way to sum up this story would be “a well mannered, older cowboy happens to be put on jury duty with a feisty, vegan chick who tempts him in all the right ways”. I just wish there was MORE of this story. Just as it was getting super hot, it was done! Sam and Wren could be their own book series and I would eat it up!
-
Taming Rex by Becca Jameson
This book is the hot little escape you needed! Holy Hell! I love a good BDSM book, and the fact that Erica found herself submitting to two different Doms made the plot even more enjoyable. I am not sure how I would feel if I found out someone I worked with went to the same BDSM club as me, but if that person turned out to be anything like Rex, I think I would be OK with it! Erica and Rex are a great match once they get past that awkward stage haha. He can give her exactly what she needs, and it makes for some very hot reading. Dayton, another Dom, just adds to the sexiness. He is super intrigued by Erica and I loved how comfortable they made each other feel. I have NO idea how I would’ve chosen between Rex and Dayton because they both bring the heat in their own ways, but I was very pleased with the ending!
-
In His Kiss by Ava Alise
Jordan and Xiaâs story was one that you’ve heard of before. Two families that are friends, so their kids grow up to be best friends, fighting feelings for one another and not acting on impulse for years. What is different about this book? The two main characters! I loved their relationship, as friends and as more. The dynamic felt realistic and well rounded. It wasn’t cheesy or forced like so many others I’ve read. I give props to Ava Alise for making the angst between these two come alive and jump off the pages. The friendship between them is put through the ringer but no matter what, they stand by one anotherâs side and it is incredibly sweet and pure.
The sexy moments between them get pretty hot as well though considering the years of buildup, so hold on tight!

Harvest of Sighs by Sierra Simone
Once again, I was left reeling! Sierra Simone does an amazing job weaving this tale of mystery, folklore and romance. These characters continue to grow throughout the series and I love them all so much more than I did in the book before. Fans of the kink will LOVE this series..there’s D/s, M/M, F/F, M/F and M/F/M. No other series tops this when it comes to HOTHOTHOT scenes. I’m absolutely in love with this series. In. LOVE. With all of it and all of them. More questions were answered, but many mysteries still swirl around these six friends. The intensity, angst and sensuality of the first books are still strong in book three. There’s some very taboo stuff happening here, so consider yourself warned. Once again, I was blown away and I can’t wait to see what happens next at Thornchapel!
